Ajmal Mian served as the chief justice of the Supreme Court from December 23, 1997 to June 30, 1999KARACHI: Former chief justice Ajmal Mian passed away on Monday in Karachi, his family said.
Retd justice Mian?s funeral prayers will be held in Mustafa Mosque in the Defence Housing Authority and he will be buried in the Mewa Shah graveyard.
Ajmal Mian served as the chief justice of the Supreme Court from December 23, 1997 to June 30, 1999. He was also appointed as the chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council.
Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and other Supreme Court judges expressed condolences with the family of the justice.
