KARACHI: An alleged drug smuggler was taken into custody Friday night in Malir during a raid conducted by the law enforcement agencies, Rao Anwar ? the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Malir ? said.

The raid was conducted after authorities received a confidential tip, the police officer explained.

Almost 250 grammes of heroin, as well as a mobile phone and cash, were recovered from the detained suspect, who, according to the police, was involved in supplying drugs to the city's numerous areas, including Patel Para and Old Sabzi Mandi.
