LAHORE: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that a particular lobby is hell-bent on constructing a narrative to provoke unconstitutional acts in the country ?so that they get their jobs back?.

Speaking to media here, Iqbal said that there is a ?troika of failed politicians, retired generals, and TV talk show hosts? which makes claims about political and economic stability in the country everyday on TV.

Responding to a question, Iqbal reiterated that there is no clash between institutions, adding that the election will be held on time in 2018.

The interior minister on October 23 had said that the government has 'no tensions with any institutions.'

"They [armed forces] are our front line, and we have the utmost respect for all of the institutions that are protecting our motherland," Iqbal said.
