LONDON: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met with Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and held discussions on important political matters, sources told Geo News.

The chief minister extended his London stay to hold the meeting, sources added.

The prime minister arrived here on Friday afternoon to attend "Future of Pakistan 2017" conference where he will make a keynote speech on the country, while Shehbaz was in London to attend the high-level party meeting held last Sunday.

Earlier this week a high-level huddle was held in London chaired by PML-N president Nawaz Sharif and attended by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and others. During the meeting support for Nawaz Sharif was reiterated and it was decided that no-minus Nawaz formula would be acceptable.
