KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement ? Pakistan (MQM-P) will work alongside the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) to resolve the civic issues of Karachi, sources informed Geo News on Wednesday.

According to reports, MQM-P chief Farooq Sattar will hold a news conference later today alongside PSP leader Mustafa Kamal to announce this decision.

Sources informed that in the joint press conference, reservations over census results will be expressed by both leaders. Prior to the press conference, Sattar has called a meeting of party high command at the party?s PIB office.

Earlier on Tuesday in a press conference, PSP Chairperson Kamal vowed to create a bloc against the MQM-P in the legislative assemblies with the elected representatives that have switched over to his party.

Kamal said: ?The MQM is an enemy of Pakistan. Muhajirs are vulnerable because of it?.

Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor Karachi Arshad Vohra has also switched loyalties and announced to join the ranks of PSP on October 29. Speaking to media regarding his decision at the party?s central office, Pakistan House, Vohra remarked that he is grateful to the people of Karachi who gave them the mandate.

?Unfortunately, I was not able to deliver to the people of Karachi,? he lamented. ?We have been quite unjust to the people of Pakistan,? he shared

Vohra also shared that other leaders and workers of MQM along with MNAs want to joint PSP.

PSP President Anis QaimKhani also spoke to media, where he stated ?If Farooq Sattar has moral courage he should get members of Senate, National Assembly to resign,? remarked Qaimkhani, adding ?we will participate wholeheartedly in all the elections held on the posts of MQM leaders.?

Not going to merge with PSP: Rauf Siddiqui

Separately, while speaking responding to a question in a media talk outside Sindh Assebly, MQM-P leader Rauf Siddiqui said that his party is not going to merge with the PSP.

He said that Pakistan needs unity and for that parties need to come on one-page.
