KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has imposed a ban on pillion riding in Karachi on October 9 and 10, according to a notification issued Wednesday.

The ban has been imposed to ensure security during Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA) and companions.

A ban has been imposed on pillion riding in Karachi under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) on Oct 9 and 10, the notification issued by the Sindh home department read.

On the other hand, Balochistan home department also banned pillion riding in Quetta on account of Chehlum Imam Hussain (RA).
