Every smartphone manufacturer wants to match up with the iPhone's success, and sometimes, companies don't shy away from replicating technology to stay in the game. Samsung may have exceptional sales in the smartphone world, but it has never been able to beat the iPhone.
In order to beat Apple, a company has to be innovative and introduce new technology to sway customers towards their products. Samsung may have something up their sleeve and it comes in the form of Galaxy X.
It may seem like the Galaxy X name has been copied from iPhone X, but the device has been bestowed with that name long before when the iPhone X was still being referred to as iPhone 8. The Galaxy X will be Samsung's and probably the world's first bendable smartphone that may just be game-changing.
The device has been spotted as a prototype at many tech shows; however, Samsung was never ready to mass produce the device — until now. It may be the first bendable smartphone to ship to consumers and the existence of the smartphone was accidentally confirmed by Samsung on their website. A support page for the device was discovered by MobielKopen and it even has a model number i.e. “SM-G888N0”.
The support page did not offer any additional information or insight on what the device will look like and what will be specs. The model number has been rumoured to be associated with the Galaxy X and previous reports suggest that the device has already got certifications from regulators.
Once a smartphone clears certifications, it suggests that the phone might near its launch and will be very limited. Other smartphone companies are also working on bendable smartphones but it seems like Samsung is going to win the race.
