KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has requested the federation for suspending cellular and internet services on Friday, to ensure security on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

The Sindh home department wrote a letter to the Ministry of Interior requesting suspension of cellular and internet services in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur.

It requested the ministry to suspend these services from 8am to 8pm on Friday, in view of security concerns on the occasion.

However, a decision whether or not to suspend the services is pending with the interior ministry.
