As a 20-something skinny-fat survivor of the globe, I've always had insecurities about apparel fits. Much like those gunned, hefty chest-pull hulks, I've always yearned for the feeling of glove-like clothing. I'm skinny and most things just look really strange on me. That said, the only time I slipped into something that actually fit me like a glove, was my first-ever pair of slim-fit jeans. Ones, I was called out for, and for over a year that followed next. Apparently they made me look 'gay', girly, and nothing but manly. But where did I go wrong—I was completely perplexed. 

All until I realised (as part of my life's style ed cherry pop), buying well-fitted jeans (and not skinny fitted jeans) really take a #MasterClass to master. Plus, slim-fit is one thing and skinny, another. You may spend hours and sweat liters of trying-on effort in the trial room and yet, you'd end up with a pair that's (at least) a little baggy. Buying well-fitted jeans is that hard. It's all about knowing how denim falls on your body.

Point being: actor and now easily, owner of a Doctorate Degree in Denim Buying, Gurmeet Choudhary's jeans just recently triggered my insecurities (again). If I may, this is clearly the most well-fitted sight I've seen in a while.

But, while you may see this as the case of a celebrity stylist super power, brace yourselves—it isn't. While flying into Mumbai from an unidentified location, we're dead sure, you're not going to find celeb stylists offering services on board. As a denim wearer all his life, Gurmeet has clearly now aced the concept of buying. We're taking the liberty, and declaring Mr. Choudhary as a the Narendra Modi of Denim Bhaarat. And he's clearly in his achhe din.

Let's not forget, even the sweatshirt the actor has paired with the jeans here is quite the fitted excellence itself. Nothing loose, nothing slouchy, just fitting him in all the right corners. He's far, far away from landing himself somewhere in the middle—an area none of us should ever be in. Or more importantly, an area of dowdy fits Gurmeet Choudhary is miles away from.
