ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has summoned a cabinet meeting on Thursday, Geo News reported.

The cabinet meeting, scheduled to take place in the Prime Minister Office at 4pm tomorrow, is likely to review recent political and economic developments in the country.

The premier is expected to discuss the recent briefing of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa in the Senate, FATA reforms, implementation of the National Action Plan and the fluctuation of dollar rate in the meeting.

Earlier, PM Abbasi while speaking to journalists in London had said that  the government would complete its tenure and elections would be held on time.

He had further said that Ayaz Sadiq's statement was his personal opinion and he was independent as the speaker of the national assembly.

Sadiq had stated last week that he feared the assemblies would not be able to complete their tenure.
