Remember when Virat Kohli got married to Anushka Sharma in the picturesque locations of Tuscany, Italy? Of course, we all do. It literally broke the Internet and caused a meltdown in all media offices. But keeping aside the chaos and the Tweet storms, what's important to note about their wedding and reception celebrations are Virat's custom Sabyasachi outfits that are designed to perfection. They are also designed in a way, by Sabyasachi himself, that every groom can easily replicate the looks on their own. The outfits are classic menswear highlighted to the extreme with fine tailoring and signature details that will almost fly under the radar!

But before we look at his Mumbai reception outfit, here's what he wore for his wedding! According to Sabyasachi's Instagram page, Virat wore an Ivory raw silk sherwani hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern and signature House buttons with an old Rose silk Kota safa. All accessories were also designed by The House Of Sabyasachi, who has basically revolutionized the way celebrity wedding will be dressed in future.

For his Delhi reception, the A-list cricketer (also, one of the few 'celebrity' cricketers) chose to wear a bespoke Bandhgala from Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. To be frank, while the designer pick was a carry forward from his wedding in Italy (his big day's outfit was a Sabyasachi too), the aesthetics of the two were contrarily different. Broken down (and as quoted by the designer himself), Virat sported a black textured silk signature Bandhgala, a white silk kurta, hand-woven brocade churidaar and mojris. Topping things off was an embroidered antique Pashmina shawl. Royal, vintage and well, very dapper. But what might startle you (to say the least), is the fact that his Bandhgala featured house buttons in 18K gold. That, according to sources, comes with a retail price of approx. Rs. 30,000-50,000 per button, making it an estimated Rs 3 lakhs for the entire set.

And finally, for his grand Mumbai reception, the captain of the Indian cricket team wore yet another custom Sabyasachi. To be precise, he wore an Indigo navy Bandhgala paired with vintage handcrafted gold buttons, paired with ivory wool and silk blend trousers from Sabyasachi's latest menswear collection. The cost of this outfit could easily be on the same range or more than his Delhi reception outfit.
