Samsung Galaxy S9+ Prototype Spotted In Leaked Video

The official launch of the Galaxy S9/S9+ may just be two months away, however, we already know a few things about the upcoming smartphone thanks to numerous leaks. The Galaxy S9 is expected to sport a similar design as compared to the Galaxy S8 with increment upgrades.

However, even though we have speculated about the Galaxy S9 on a regular basis, we haven't seen it in the wild —until now. The first hands-on video of a Galaxy S9+ prototype was first leaked on Weibo and if the handset is said to be the real thing, it basically confirmed every speculation we wrote about. In the video, we can see the design and the form factor of the device however the software is not explored to show the hidden tricks — if there are any.

We have already seen what the smartphone will look like based on several Galaxy S9 renders that were crafted using leaked CAD blueprints. The leaked video shows a device that resembles the Galaxy S8 in many ways. The display still features the edge-to-edge design from the previous iteration and has very minimum bezels at the top and the bottom. The key difference is when the phone is flipped to reveal the back of the phone. It has a dual-camera setup and below the two lenses, there is a fingerprint sensor.

The sensor is placed in the perfect spot especially since the Galaxy S8's placement was somewhat awkward. Right next to the camera module, the device houses the heartbeat sensor and the flash. The prototype also shows that the headphone jack has not been removed by Samsung.

This appears to be a working Galaxy S9+ prototype, but the person who's handling it doesn't reveal any of the handset's new software features. Watch the video below if you want to have a closer look:
