Casualties feared as Iranian airplane crashes near Isfahan

A domestic Iranian flight crashed in the southern Isfahan province on Sunday, according to reports in the Iranian media.
Aseman Airline?s Tehran-Yasuj flight crashed in southern Isfahan province after disappearing from radar and had at least 50 people on board, reports stated.
The ATR crashed near the city of Semirom, according to the chief of Iran?s emergency and rescue department.
Witnesses informed local media that it appeared the plane was trying to make an emergency landing on a pasture when it crashed.
A search and rescue operation is under way, the Iranian media reported further.
An ATR usually carries around 70 persons.
