Over the years, cricket has not only given birth to some scintillating rivalries, but has also allowed cricketers to forge friendships for life. The tale of Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli is probably one of the most talked-about friendships in Indian cricket.

They are one of those blessed cricketers who honed their skills together as young kids in school and then showcased their respective talents on the international stage, playing side by side. But, like all good relationships, theirs, too, faced the test of time when Kambli, during a TV interview, claimed that Sachin didn't help him during his bad days.

While the Little Master was smashing one record after another in his path to glory, Kambli began slipping in his cricket career which eventually led to his ouster from Team India. Despite Kambli's comment, Tendulkar appeared to have buried the hatchet after he shared a photo of himself in the company of his old cricket friends, including Kambli, in 2017.

Sharing the picture on Instagram, he wrote: "One of the most amazing things Cricket gave me is friends for life. In this company, there's never a dull moment both on and off the field".

Another incident highlighting their great friendship and mutual respect came to the fore recently when Kambli's heartfelt gesture didn't just win over Tendulkar, but also the Indian cricket fans.

During the T20 Mumbai tournament, Shivaji Park Lions team, who defeated the SoBo Supersonics to enter into the finals, lost the summit clash to the Triumph Knights Mumbai North East side. During the presentation ceremony, Kambli - the mentor of Shivaji Park Lions - bowed and touched the feet of Tendulkar who was awarding the prizes.

Ever since the pictures of Kambli's touching gesture found their way on social media, the fans have been hailing the duo for setting new friendship goals for others.
