Amit Shah Accidentally Trolled Himself By Calling BJP's Yeddyurappa 'Most Corrupt'

You know what the best thing in life is? When someone trolls themselves accidentally. Now, this is what brings people pure joy.

Amit Shah must have gotten a very strongly worded mail from PM Narendra Modi because of his latest goof-up because well, he kind of embarrassed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and state party chief B S Yeddyurappa with his slight slip of the tongue, which ended up as a self-goal.

So basically, what went down was that, while addressing the press after the Election Commission announced the dates for the Karnataka elections, Shah said, “If there were ever a competition for the most corrupt government then the Yeddyurappa government would come first.”

Oh no, what did you do? Don't you know you shouldn't say that about someone from your own party? Haww.

And, you know what the best part is? The person in question, Yeddyurappa himself – whose BJP's candidate for chief minister in the Karnataka Assembly elections – was seated right next to him. Awkward.

I don't know how you can come back from that. Well, even though the damage was already done, Shah did correct himself but it was too late. After he was informed about his foot-in-the-mouth moment, he said, “Siddaramaiah would come first in a competition for the most corrupt government.”

This is probably the best thing that has happened to Congress in a while, and they are not letting go of this mix-up easily. But, I have to say one thing – the video is way too hilarious, and kind of tragic for BJP. Without getting too deep into politics, let's just enjoy this very rare moment.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi shared the video, saying that it is a preview of their super-secret campaign video. Not gonna lie, that's hilarious. I'm impressed.

Now that the BJP IT cell has announced Karnataka elections, time for a sneak preview of our top secret campaign video!

Gifted to us by the BJP President, our campaign in Karnataka is off to a fabulous start. He says Yeddyurappa ran the most corrupt Govt ever...

True. pic.twitter.com/UYqGDZuKyR

This is the perfect way to troll yourself, tbh.

Truth shall prevail. Truth has its own ways to come out, listen to Amit Shah himself exposing BJP CM candidate Yedurappa's corruption model..:)) pic.twitter.com/SDF0KB9nKg

Congress is enjoying this too much.

The Truth can never be Suppressed.

Everyone is so proud of Amit Shah.

In retrospect, I was always wrong about Amit Shah Ji. He does occasionally speak the truth. :-)) #BSYeddyurappa https://t.co/wmi4DA2Ues

Oops.

Who knew @AmitShah could also speak the truth- we all concur with you Amit ji @BSYBJP is the most corrupt! pic.twitter.com/GFbTF3Mg7H

This is the best tweet, considering Amit Shah was trying to accuse Siddaramaiah, but it backfired spectacularly.

The #ShahOfLies finally speaks truth. Thank you @AmitShah pic.twitter.com/WczQdUfw5U

Nothing but the truth?

"I swear by Almighty God that what I state shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth"
