Vivo unveiled the X21 a few months ago and after an initial launch in China, the device has now made its way to India. This phone is not just another Android with a notch; Vivo has taken a step forward and added an under-display fingerprint scanner on the phone. Unlike conventional phones that have a separate fingerprint scanner, this one has it embedded in the display. 

If you remember, last year was filled with rumours about in-display fingerprint scanners, especially about Apple, coming up with an in-display fingerprint scanner in special anniversary edition iPhone. Well, Vivo just became the first one to launch this technology in India.

The Vivo X21 sports a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Going with the trend, it features a notch on the top and a nearly bezel-less design. At the heart of the phone is a Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that is expandable via a MicroSD card. 

In terms of camera, the X21 has a vertical rear dual camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture) with LED flash. On the front, the notch houses a 12-megapixel sensor (f/2.0 aperture) which comes with features such as AI Face Beauty, HDR Mode, shot re-focus mode.

Backing this internals is a slightly small 3200mAh battery. The handset is also equipped with an AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip for superior audio quality. Funtoch OS 4.0 is Vivo's skin running on top of Android 8.0 Oreo and brings in support for Face Wake 2.0, which is basically a Vivo's version of Face Unlock.
