The 'Namaste England' Trailer Simply Fails To Match The Magic Of 'Namastey London'

'Namastey London' released over a decade ago, but even if you stumble upon it now playing on the TV, chances are you will still watch it.

The movie had a fresh, crisp vibe attached to it, and then there was the crackling chemistry between the romantic Akshay Kumar and the gorgeous and bratty Katrina Kaif. Basically the whole package made for an entertaining watch.

Years later, after fans could not stop clamouring for a sequel, the makers apparently thought it was a good time to make one for the millennial crop and thus, the idea of 'Namaste England' came into existence.

Starring Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor, the trailer dropped today and had a lot of expectations, as the sequel has pretty big shoes to fill.

Firstly, the trailer lacks souls. There is no awesomeness in the dialogue delivery by Parineeti and Arjun, which is very surprising because they were outstanding together in 'Ishaqzaade'!

The story revolves around Jasmeet and Param who fall in love and get married in Punjab but eventually, Jasmeet (Parineeti) wants to fly to London to make a life of her own. Param (Arjun) follows her there and then, of course, complications and emotional hang-ups begin to unfold.

The magic is nowhere near the kind of hype 'Namastey London' created, and we can't help but feel a little let down by the trailer. Anyway, here is hoping at least the soundtrack of the movie becomes its saving grace.
