Over the last few years,  OnePlus has established a very solid timeline for its products. The OnePlus N launches in May next year, followed by the T-version around November. Every launch is followed by a limited edition variant, and with every co-branded partnership, we feel OnePlus has reached the ceiling in terms of design.

But each time, the company surprises us. The Red OnePlus 5T, Silk White OnePlus 6, Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T, and now the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Not only does the McLaren Edition looks different, but it also brings in a host of minor improvements that make the already fast phone, Formula 1 fast.

Beneath the glass body is a carbon fibre pattern on the rear and the bottom back edges have McLaren Papaya Orange colour accent. The retail packaging of the phone too has been completely revamped and features the McLaren Logo, also called the Speedmark. It is built out of McLaren designed F1 AA-grade carbon fibre, the same material that actually goes into making a Formula 1 car.

The phone's RAM has been bumped to 10GB, and charges via Warp Charge 30 technology. The 30 here means the battery can support fast charging up to 30W and can provide a full day's charge in just 20 minutes. The software has also been slightly tweaked to have a black and orange theme along with a special animation while unlocking the phone.

The phone comes along with special orange and black USB-C cable and headphone dongle, a McLaren branded mobile cover and a book about McLaren's history in racing. Using the McLaren AR application, you can see the images of the book come to life along with a video gallery from OnePlus and McLaren.

All other specifications of the phone remain same as the standard OnePlus 6T. It has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset. On the rear is a 16+20-megapixel dual camera setup while the front has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. The device sports an in-display fingerprint sensor and OnePlus says that it can unlock the phone in 0.34 seconds and also gets faster over time.

The phone has been priced at Rs 50,999 in India and will be going up on sale from 13th December. The phone is also being launched in other international markets like China, South-East Asia, and the Nordic region.
