BLOT!, an acronym for Basic Love Of Things, is a mixed media and electronic music duo consisting of Gaurav Malaker and Avinash Kumar. In the span of their career, they have not only released amazing music but also innumerable audiovisual sets as well as art installations and performances, both in the country and internationally.

With their debut album SNAFU, they pushed their boundaries style-wise and expanded from a minimal techno act and created something unique. The album brought them tons of positive reviews from critics. 

The duo have explored the world of music, films, art, projects and installations all over the world and founded the interdisciplinary festival UnBox and underground electronica label - Qilla Records.

They have performed at some of the most iconic venues globally like Trsor and Bar25 (Berlin), global festivals C/O Pop (Cologne), Electron Festival (Geneva), Berlin Music Week, Reeper- bahn Festival (Hamburg) and Nuits Sonores in Lyon, and at London’s South Bank Centre. BLOT! has been extremely consistent and regular with their live performances, playing over 100 gigs a year and also having collaborations with a number of musicians. 

Gaurav and Avinash often conduct workshops and present panels on electronic arts both in India and abroad along with having a column in The Sunday Guardian. BLOT! was also the recipient of the VH1 Soundnation Award for the Best Electronic Act 2014.
