Bollywood actor Sonu Sood was branded a messiah of the poor during the lockdown because he selflessly served the people in need in the pandemic.
He got much love and respect for the social work he did. While some called him a superhero, others wished he joined politics because he would make such a good and benevolent leader.

Well, he didn’t but his sister did join the Congress party and is a candidate from Moga city in this year’s election.

Sonu even informed his followers about his sister’s political journey on social media. He wrote, “As my sister Malvika Sood embarks on her political journey, I wish her the best…My own work as an actor & humanitarian continues, without any political affiliations or distractions.”

On the election day in Moga, he was seen visiting polling booths, an act that was deemed objectionable by candidates of other parties. As a result, a complaint was filed against him that he was trying to 'influence' voters and his car was seized.

“Sonu Sood was going from one polling booth to another, which some political parties found objectionable,” said District Magistrate Harish Nayyar.

Moga District PRO Pradbhdeep Singh said “Sonu Sood was trying to enter a polling booth. During this, his car was confiscated and he was sent home. Action will be taken against him if he steps out of his house.”

However, Sood has denied indulging in any wrongdoing and said he was not trying to sway the voters but was visiting Congress booths. “I'm a local resident. I have not asked anyone to vote for any particular candidate or party. I was just visiting our (Congress) booths set up outside polling stations.”

However, later that day, he took to Twitter to inform Election Commission members about other candidates who were trying to buy off votes. He wrote, “Other Candidates in #Moga Constituency are buying votes. @ECISVEEP should take immediate action regarding the same.”

Later in the day, he also gave a statement saying that there should be fair polls.
We got to know of threat calls at various booths by opposition, especially the people of Akali Dal. Money being distributed at some booths. So it's our duty to go check & ensure fair elections. That's why we had gone out. Now, we're at home. There should be fair polls: Sonu Sood pic.twitter.com/Va93f3V7zH

    — INC Warrior (@trader_indian) February 20, 2022But reports are that you were caught influencing voters. You are a very respected personality. You should not do all thus.

    — ToTheMoon (@ss200278) February 20, 2022We don’t know what the truth is and he could be visiting the polling booths outside stations for no reason, but his Twitter followers seem to think otherwise.

Chetan Sharma, the head of the All-India Selection Committee, gave information on all-rounder Hardik Pandya's potential return to Team India on Saturday (February 19).
Since India's departure from the ICC T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates last year, Pandya has been out of play.
Baroda's ace all-rounder was not considered for the next Sri Lanka series. Chetan Sharma said at a press conference that Pandya isn't fully match-fit now and would only be selected when he's ready to bowl.

Chetan Sharma, speaking to the press after releasing the squads, said: “Definitely, Hardik was a very important part of the Indian team. But now after the injuries, we’ll say that until he isn’t 100% fit, until we get that information that he’s ready to go, is bowling and is match fit… when that comes in front of us then definitely he’s an important player and we’ll consider him immediately.”
Hardik Pandya did bowl at the T20 World Cup, but he wasn't fully healthy or comfortable enough to perform to his full capacity. He's been working on his fitness since then and has been seen bowling on a few occasions.
The Gujarat Titans skipper also stated that he views himself as an all-rounder and that he wants to return to bowling.

However, the chief selector seemed to be irked when asked about Hardik Pandya’s decision to not become a part of the 2022 season of the Ranji Trophy. He said: “Aap Hardik se puch sakte hai wo Ranji Trophy kyu nahi khel rahe. Jo log khel rahe hai, humlog unko dekh rahe hai. (Why don’t you ask Hardik why he is not playing Ranji Trophy. We are watching those cricketers who are playing)”.
Such a response from the Indian cricket team’s selection committee, and especially from the chief selector, led the fans of the Men in Blue to speculate that Pandya has managed to get in the wrong books of the officials and that his days in the blue jersey may be numbered (if not over already).
Hardik panda days are numbered since Kohli shielding is gone https://t.co/FjJhFIecPD
    — Antidentite8 (@AntiDentite8) February 20, 2022Good. Pandya should not don the Indian colours again if he thinks he is too big for #RanjiTrophy https://t.co/W8YfeJZqc3
    — Amma Pakoda (@ammapakoda) February 20, 2022So good to see that! Looks a promising new era https://t.co/JtUwEfS8sU
    — Arnav Talwar (@TweetToArnav) February 19, 2022I think this is the most bizarre, fragmented and chaotic state of BCCI I’ve witnessed since I started following cricket https://t.co/XgVcCxWXFz
