    After the theatres were shut down back in March 2020 due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, it finally opened up in full glory in November 2021 with the release of Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. 
    The film collected close to Rs 200 crore in India but post that there was a spate of unsuccessful films at the box office. And then, due to the spread of Omicron, the theatres were closed yet again. 
    Now, Badhaai Do has become the first Hindi film in over a month and a half to release in theatres and doing fair enough. However, the magic of the box office that was seen pre-pandemic is missing.

    That onus has been put on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming directorial Gangubali Kathiawadi. Shot on a big scale, it is one of the biggest films to come out of Hindi cinema in recent times and there have been talks all over about this is going to 'revive Hindi cinema'.

    Recently, we chatted with Gangubai Kathiawadi’s lead star Alia Bhatt where we discussed the theatrical release of her film after almost three years and if there is pressure on her about reviving Hindi cinema. 
    She exclusively told MensXP, “I am not taking that pressure. I mean there is that conversation but I am like, ‘Okay, listen this is too much of a pressure for me to take.’ But, ya there is generally just a feeling of movies, forget the pressure of one film. I think in general we just want the theatres to be pumping and thumping again with of course all the safety measures in place.”

    She continued, “But, there is no feeling like, ‘’Oh, cinema is back! And people are running and flocking to the theatres’ because there’s been so many gaps. So, I am hoping that with the films that are coming out this month and with Gangubai Kathiawadi, I hope there is no stopping. I hope it just keeps going. I definitely hope it’s a successful film at the box office. And I hope people come and see the film.”  

    She further added that Gangubai Kathiawadi is meant for big-screen viewing. “I believe this is a film that you cannot not see on the big screen. It’s meant for the big screen. The experience is meant for the big screen.”

    Besides Alia Bhatt, Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Vijay Raaz, Jim Sarbh and Ajay Devgn. The movie is slated to release in cinemas on February 25.

    Upset with the BCCI’s decision to tell him that he will not be considered by the selection committee while deciding on Team India’s Test cricket squad, Wriddhiman Saha has revealed some major information about a tough discussion that he had with the Indian head coach, Rahul Dravid.
    The Indian selection panel made many significant changes to the Test squad for the series against Sri Lanka, including the removal of four veteran players. 
    Former vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Wriddhiman Saha were all dropped by the committee.

    According to chief selector Chetan Sharma, the four players were told of their dismissal ahead of time, and the selectors wanted them to participate in the Ranji Trophy. Ishant will be eligible for Delhi from the second game of the red-ball competition, in which Rahane and Pujara are playing for their respective states. Saha will not be competing in the competition.
    Appalled by the selectors' decision to remove him, wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha has shared a major moment amid all the chaos.  
    Saha stated to The Times of India that he was notified of his dismissal ahead of time, and that Rahul Dravid had recommended the veteran player consider retirement.

    "Yes, the team management told me that I would not be considered henceforth. I could not tell this so long as I was part of the India team setup. Even coach Rahul Dravid suggested that I think about taking retirement," he revealed to TOI.
    "When I hit an unbeaten 61 taking a pain-killer in the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur last November, Dada (as Sourav was referred to by Bengal players) congratulated me over Whatsapp. He even mentioned that I should not worry about anything so long as he is at the helm of the BCCI. Such a message from the board president really boosted my confidence. But I failed to understand why everything changed so fast."
    Saha (in TOI) said "Team management has told me that I would not be considered henceforth - I could not tell this so long as I was part of the India setup. Even coach Dravid suggested that I think about taking retirement".

    It was Saha’s conversation with the head coach of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid, that has attracted the attention of the fans of the Men in Blue. Some suggest that Dravid’s bluntness was highly uncharacteristic of him and rather surprising. 
    However, others felt that ‘The Wall’ was only trying to show some tough love to the wicket-keeper batter and make him face the reality as soon as possible so that he could start looking for alternative means to continue his dreams of playing cricket at a high level.

    Anyway we should appreciate Saha for what he has done to Indian cricket but TBH he doesn't fit in the current test setup with lots of youngsters like Rishabh, Bharat performing much much better than him.

    Coach work is to tell player how can he improve and make Comeback not to tell him to give up cricket

    After MS Dhoni's retirement from red-ball cricket, Saha, who made his India debut in 2010, became a permanent member of the team. 
    Following Rishabh Pant's debut, his stock dropped. Rishabh has secured a place in the Test squad for the 2020/21 season. During the South Africa tour, Saha sat on the bench. 
    Despite the fact that the senior players have been benched for two Test matches, Saha's prospects of returning to the national team remain slim.

He visited India in 2009, and Priyanka organised a party in his honour at her Versova home. Gerard, who was smitten with her, did his best to charm her throughout the evening, but to no avail. He had even proposed to her for marriage several times.

    According to reports, every half-hour, the actor kneeled in front of Priyanka and asked her to marry him. Revealing the same back then, a guest present during the party had told TOI, "Of course, the party was for Gerard who was completely besotted by Priyanka and kept proposing to her every half hour. It's become a standing joke rather a 'kneeling' joke between them. 'Will you marry me?' he knelt and said every half hour while she would burst into laughter. She's clearly not interested on being Mrs Butler".

    Later, in 2012, the Hollywood actor even confessed his liking for the Dil Dhadakne Do star. Talking about PeeCee, he told IANS, "Last year, Priyanka was here (US) and I was going out of town to a wedding. I stay in Malibu and she was coming to party at Malibu and I couldn't meet. I was even thinking of missing the plane and going and saying hello because I hadn't seen her in a long time. But we are in touch all the time". 
    He further added, "I am still single because I am waiting for Priyanka Chopra".

    Sadly, nothing happened between them and the duo soon moved on in their lives. While Gerard has been dating Morgan Brown for a long time now, Priyanka got hitched to Nick Jonas in 2018. Last month, Priyanka-Nick welcomed their first child via surrogacy.
