    Harry Potter movies just hit different!

    Whether it be about magic, the beautiful Hogwarts castle, or tales of true friendship that went on throughout the eight movies and seven books, the series was really something else.

    The Harry Potter actor trio Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson were instrumental in making out childhoods awesome and we will now see them again in the much-awaited Harry Potter reunion episode airing on HBO Max next month.

    Now, ahead of the return of the actors to the famous movie sets almost 11 years after the finishing of the eighth and the final film, many of the actors will see each other for the first time.

    Many of them shared a close bond in personal life as well, as they filmed together for much of their own childhoods.
    However, it looks like not every one of them is friends.
    Mr Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe himself admitted the same about co-actor Robert Pattinson, who starred with him in the fourth instalment of the film series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

    Pattinson, much before his fame in the Twilight movie series, played the role of Cedric Diggory in the fourth film.

    While naturally as fans, we'd still like to think that they'd still be pals as both had amazing success in their early careers, it happens to be not the case.
    Daniel, while appearing on a TV show recently said that he actually shared a 'very strange relationship' with Pattinson.
    “…I was in New York about to do Equus, and I was on the Westside Highway and I turned around and saw this billboard and I was like, ‘What, I know that guy (Robert Pattinson)!’”
    “I hadn't heard of the Twilight books at the time; I hadn't been aware of that phenomenon. And so, yeah, it's odd. We have a very strange relationship now where we basically only communicate through journalists. We haven't seen each other in ages. Because everyone assumes we're kind of great mates, but I've met him. He's a lovely guy when I worked with him,” said Daniel.
    Such a shame! We really thought they'd be chugging beers together for the career both of them have had.
    However, it's fair to say that this is something that Robert doesn't have in his mind as he's busy starring in so many films.
    Robert, as you all know, will be starring in Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman film, something that fans have been eagerly waiting for.

    Ranveer Singh is essaying the role of Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev in the biopic. Recently, the makers released the much-hyped film's trailer and the actor has been receiving enormous love from fans since then. Deepika Padukone is also a part of the film and will be seen stepping into the shoes of the cricketer's wife Romi Bhatia. Directed by Kabir Singh of Ek Tha Tiger fame, 83 is all set to hit the big screens during the Christmas weekend, on 24 December. The film also features Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi among others in pivotal roles.

    Featuring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, the sports drama is the official remake of Nani's much-acclaimed Telugu film Jersey. Written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the Hindi remake is produced by Dil Raju Production, Allu Entertainment, Sithara Entertainments, and Brat Films. The story revolves around a middle-aged man who stopped playing cricket ten years ago and wants to kick-start his career again to make his son proud. The trailer is getting a positive response and the much-awaited film is slated to release in theatres on 31 December.

    Biopic of Mithali Raj, Shabaash Mithu tells the story of one of the most successful Indian women cricketers. The film chronicles the highs, lows, and setbacks of Mithali's life. Taapsee Pannu will be seen playing the lead role in the biographical sports drama while Vijay Raaz is also playing a pivotal role. Produced by Viacom18 Studios, the film is penned by Priya Aven and Srijit Mukherji is directing it. Shabaash Mithu is confirmed to hit the screens worldwide on 4 February 2022, a month ahead of the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup.

    The biopic of Jhulan Goswami (one of the most impactful women bowlers in the world) is also in the making. Anushka Sharma, who is on a break from work ever since the release of her 2018 film Zero, is expected to play the speedster in the upcoming film. In 2020, a few pictures of the Jab Tak Hai Jaan star in the Indian jersey broke the internet. In the images, she was seen at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata with Jhulan. However, an official announcement regarding the casting is still awaited. Earlier this year, various reports suggested that the biopic is still being scripted and the actress might start working on it by the end of this year. But, there has been no update on the project since then.

    When I first joined Instagram, the entire concept of putting up pictures like on a digital album and obsessing over likes was a bit too much for me. But within days (hours, to be precise) I found myself picking some of my best pictures and uploading them with the coolest captions. Or so I thought...

    Carefree and young, Vicky Kaushal’s first post garnered over 11 thousand likes and had several fans drool over him in the comment section.

    Virat Kohli’s return to the field after more than two-week break didn’t last long as he got out for a four-ball duck in the first innings of the second Test match at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
    The manner in which the Indian skipper was adjudged leg before by the TV umpire led to a huge uproar on social media, with Indian supporters slamming the decision as atrocious and describing it as daylight-robbery.

    What Happened?In the 30th over of the innings, Kohli was up against Kiwis spinner Ajaz Patel, who had already dismissed Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara in quick succession. Patel was getting just the right amount of turn to trouble the Indian batters.
    The Blackcaps spinner, who was born in Mumbai, bowled a loopy delivery and the Indian captain leaned forward to defend it right in front of his eyes but the visitors made a strong LBW appeal and the on-field umpire Anil Chaudhary raised his finger in affirmation.

    Kohli was so sure that the ball had hit his bat, before crashing onto the pads that he challenged the on-field decision almost immediately and looked confident that the third umpire would rule in his favour.
    However, to his surprise, the TV umpire Virender Sharma took after analysing replays from all possible angles decided he had concluded that the ball had hit Kohli’s bat and pad simultaneously and he had no conclusive evidence to overturn the on-field decision.

    After being handed his marching orders, Kohli stood there stunned because he couldn’t believe the TV umpire had actually ruled him out. Frustrated with the decision, he even threw his bat on the boundary cushion as he walked back to the dressing room.

    Without getting into the debate of whether the ball had hit the bat first or pad, let’s just quickly dive into what the rule book says. There might be divided opinions on whether it was out or not out, but one thing that everyone agrees with is that the ball had struck the bat and pad simultaneously, even the TV umpire stated this while declaring Kohli out.

    The various guidelines stating when a batter can be adjudged Leg Before Wicket (LBW) are stated in Law 36 of the MCC ‘Laws of Cricket’.
    The rules regarding the ‘Interception of the ball’ are stated under subsection 36.2 and the law 36.2.2 in this subsection clearly states that if the ball has hit the bat and pad simultaneously, which was what happened in Kohli’s case, then it should be considered having touched the bat first and should have been adjudged not out.
    “In assessing point 36.1.3, if the ball makes contact with the striker’s person and bat simultaneously, this shall be considered as the ball having first touched the bat,” reads the rule on MCC’s website.

    Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are reportedly getting hitched on 9 December at a resort in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur area. While the official announcement is still awaited, the duo is expected to exchange wedding vows in a Hindu ceremony in the presence of their families and close friends. Also, the pre-wedding festivities like the Sangeet and Mehendi ceremonies are slated to take place on 7 and 8 December, respectively.
    While everyone was expecting Salman Khan to attend Vicky and Katrina's much-hyped wedding ceremony, his sister Arpita Khan recently revealed that the superstar and his family hasn't yet received the invitation. Well, the reason behind this is out now. As per the latest buzz, the alleged lovebirds have decided that none of their ex-partners will be a part of the big day. 
    Revealing the same, sources told BollywoodLife that the soon-to-be-married couple has decided to not extend wedding invite to any of their ex-partners or the people who were linked to them in the past. So, not just Salman, even Ranbir Kapoor and Harleen Sethi are not invited to the marriage ceremony. 
    The report states, "This includes not only Salman, who went from being Katrina’s co-star, to mentor, to alleged boyfriend and then friend and guide. Similarly, while she shares a great bond with Alia Bhatt, and it is common to invite people with their partners, the invite hasn’t been extended to Ranbir Kapoor. Likewise, Vicky Kaushal’s ex has been left out of the guest list, even though they share the same friend circle".
    To avoid any awkwardness, they have also left out people who are close to their exes. 
    For the unversed, Vicky and Katrina are trying their level best to make their wedding a private affair. As reported earlier, they have imposed a no-mobile policy on guests who'll attend the functions. In order to maintain privacy, guests will be asked to not carry their mobile phones during the ceremonies.
    Post tying the knot the actors will resume work soon and are not expected to take a long break for their honeymoon. Currently, both of them have several interesting projects in hand. While Vicky's lineup includes films like Govinda Naam Mera and Sam Bahadur. Katrina has Phone Bhoot and Tiger 3 with Salman in her kitty.

    Koffee With Karan is one show that has always grabbed people’s attention due to its risque content and unabashed statements made by celebs who grace the couch. 

    From courting controversy after cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s remarks to leaving late Rishi Kapoor fuming post the Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone episode where they took potshots at Ranbir Kapoor, Koffee With Karan has always made headlines. 
    However, what many may not remember is the comment made by Sidharth Malhotra while showing his admiration towards Madhuri Dixit that had left the actress “scandalised”. 
    Back in 2014, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla graced the couch to promote their film Gulaab Gang. 
    During a segment, Karan showed an AV of several new-age actors talking about their love and admiration for Madhuri and Juhi. This AV included actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. 
    While talking about his love for Madhuri Dixit, Sidharth called her the “Dhak Dhak Girl” and said she is a “superb dancer and her (dance) move that comes to my mind. Ya, the girl you wanna take to your bedroom.” 
    Sidharth’s “bedroom” comment left Juhi giggling while a red-faced Madhuri reacted, “Ooh, I am scandalised.” She then turned to Karan Johar and asked in astonishment, “Did he just say that?”

    After the AV ended, Karan then asked Madhuri and Juhi, “So, what does it feel like when you have young boys lust for you now?” 

    While Juhi was dumbfounded for a moment, Madhuri immediately responded, “Very flattering” adding, “wasting your time and mine.” 
    Juhi added, “I am glad. I think she (Madhuri) answered for both of us.” 
    Later, in the same year, Sidharth had visited the sets of dance-based reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, to promote his film Ek Villain. Both Karan and Madhuri were the judges of the show at that time. 
    Once again, expressing his admiration for the actress, Sidharth sang Galliyan song for Madhuri and went down on his knees inviting her to dance with him leaving her blushing.

    After the release of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015, lead star Prabhas shot to national fame. 

    Later in 2017, thanks to the huge success of Baahubali: The Beginning, its sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion had become one of the most hyped films of all time pan-India. 
    A month before the release of Baahubali 2, the makers had organised an audio launch event that was attended by SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and other cast and crew members of the film. 
    During the event, the DOP of the film KK Senthil Kumar had made a statement that had sparked a debate on social media. 
    He had called Prabhas the 'biggest star of India' and had added that he is even bigger than Hindi film stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

    While talking about his experience of working on Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, KK Senthil Kumar had praised director SS Rajamouli saying, “SS Rajamouli is not James Cameron of Tollywood but James Cameron is SS Rajamouli of Hollywood.”

    Praising the lead actor Prabhas, he said, “He is today the biggest star of India. He is bigger than any Khan or anyone. His film today will be probably the first film to cross Rs 1000 crore and I am so proud to be associated with him. Such a humble man he is.”

    Well, it wasn’t only the DOP, film’s Production Designer Sabu Cyril too had shared similar sentiments about Prabhas' stardom. He had said, “When I met Prabhas I didn't know there is a star who had so many fans really. We were shooting in Kurnool, there were so many people around 100 times than this (pointing at the audience present at the pre-release event) and we couldn't shoot and that's the time I immediately called my wife and told her there is someone else here, because I've worked with so many superstars, they don't have so many fans.” 

    For context, Sabu Cyril is a National Film Award-winning Production Designer who has worked with superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Kamal Haasan. 
    Later, when Prabhas was asked about the claim made by his film’s DOP, he told Bollywoodlife, “He (Senthil Kumar) just got really excited and said all of that. He just got over-excited after Baahubali was done and just blabbered something, there's nothing like that.”

    Since its inception in 2008, only three franchises have managed to lay their hands on the coveted title more than once and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is one of them, with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) leading the title race with five and four titles, respectively.

    Co-owned by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actress Juhi Chawla, KKR have lifted the IPL trophy twice but there have been occasions when the franchise cut a sorry figure and  failed to even qualify for the playoffs.
    As owners both SRK and Juhi are passionate about their team and how they perform on the field. Whether they are in the stands or watching the live action on TV, they both follow their team closely and want the players to do well all the time.

    Whenever they are in the stadium and their team is performing well, the camera always pans out to them and we get to see them enjoying themselves from the VIP stands. But not many people know how they react when things are going downhill for the franchise. 
    Recently, Juhi revealed how she and SRK react whenever KKR is performing poorly in a match. The Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak actress said that she starts praying to all the gods, chants Gayantri Mantra and does everything in her capacity to bring the team good fortune and turn the tide for them. 
    “Shuru ho jaati hoon bhagwan ko yaad karna, mantra padna. Sabke pair pad leti hoon main, Hanuman ji ko tak nahi chhodti. Gayatri mantra shuru ho jaate hai. Sab karti hoon main (I start praying to every god there is and begin chanting mantras),” said Juhi on the Kapil Sharma Show when asked about how she reacts when the team is having a tough day in the field.
    SRK, to Juhi’s surprise, starts scolding her while expressing his dissatisfaction with the players for not diverting from the team’s game plan.

    Meanwhile, KKR came close to winning their third IPL title only to be beaten by MS Dhoni’s CSK at the final hurdle in Dubai. Ahead of the mega auction, the franchise has retained four players Andre Russell, Varun Chakaravarthy, Venkatesh Iyer and Sunil Narine.
    They will have to look for a new skipper since they decided to let go of England’s Eoin Morgan who guided them to the IPL final. Having retained their core group of players, the Kolkata-based outfit would look to build their squad around them ahead of a new IPL campaign.

    However, did you know that she admitted one interesting thing during one of her older interviews, thereby establishing her credentials of being brutally honest about everything in her life?
    The actress was actually asked in an old interview that if she were given a chance to choose between food and ***, what would be her answer.
    Now, remember, this is one question that most celebs would think a lot about before answering.
    However, to Samantha's credit, she did hesitate a little before actually answering what she honestly thought she'd want. She said that while she could afford to go hungry without food, *** would be something she would not be able to live without.

    “***. I can go hungry any day,” she can be heard saying in the interview before breaking into laughter. 
    Honestly, it's actually a fresh breath of air hearing her honest admission, especially at a time when Bollywood stars and other celebs have to be very careful about the things they say in public.
    On her personal life front, Samatha's separation from actor Naga Chaitanya has been garnering headlines in the media for quite some time, with many even shamelessly trolling her for some reason.
    Replying to those trolls, Samantha put up a lengthy Twitter post where she wrote:
    “People have said that I don’t want a baby, I’m opportunistic, I’ve had an abortion, But divorce is a very painful process. Give me time to get out of this. This is a big blow to me; But I will not break this, this is my promise."
    It's really sad, to be honest, but we are glad that a strong person like Samantha is very vocal about the things she wants in life.
