    Amid the pandemic that locked us all across the world within our homes, one good thing that probably came out of it was that we actually started exploring films, TV shows, and documentaries other than the languages we are comfortable in. 

    Be it German shows like Dark, South Korean shows like Squid Game, and many others, the pandemic made us become true appreciators of cinema. 
    One such show that became immensely popular in India was the Spanish show Money Heist, and it became such a hit that people can't wait for the second part of its fifth and final season, which is releasing later this week.

    Well, Netflix clearly understood the importance of its Indian reception and had something else in store for the fans. 

    The streaming platform actually gave Money Heist a Bollywood twist by starring popular actor Ayushmann Khurrana in it.

    Not only that, the Vicky Donor actor actually gets to dress up as The Professor in the promo with Netflix India also dropping a different version of the show's song Bella Ciao.

    To our surprise, Ayushmann looks amazing as The Professor, something that maybe the original actor Álvaro Morte would approve of.

    In the ad, Ayushmann stars as the biggest Money Heist fan and is seen to be prepping up for the red carpet event of Money Heist. 

    Then, from there on, he can be seen sitting shirtless while playing the piano and singing about how excited he is for the final season.
    “It's been laid out, the red carpet is waiting but I am only waiting for you. Bella ciao ciao ciao. The final season is almost here, your biggest fan says ciaooo,” he can be heard singing in Hindi.
    Ayushmann truly rocked in the look and even goes with the catchphrase 'The Professor Always Has A Plan' in the ad. Well, people on social media of course could not resist checking the promo out, and here's what they had to say.

    When one imagines which is the most expensive city in the world to live in, one would think of Paris, New York or maybe like Singapore. The statistics will also confirm that these cities are in fact the most expensive places to have a home. To everyone’s surprise, Tel Aviv, a beautiful city in Israel has now emerged as the most expensive city in the world according to the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

    One of the biggest reasons how the city reached to the top of the list is because the Israeli currency Shekel rose up against the Dollar. In addition to this, Israel has also been one of the fastest growing Covid-19 vaccination programs in the world. Also, the inflation rate in the country rose by 3.5 per cent. As per the list released by the EIU, here are the top 10 most expensive cities to live in.
    1. Tel Aviv, Israel
    2. (tie) Paris, France
    3. (tie) Singapore
    4. Zurich, Switzerland
    5. Hong Kong
    6. New York City, New York
    7. Geneva, Switzerland
    8. Copenhagen, Denmark

    So we tried doing a temperature check on how much money one might need to spend in Tel Aviv. While there is no end to how much money one can spend in a city, before Tel Aviv became this expensive, on an average one needed $137 per day. According to Budgetyourtrip,  the average hotel price in Tel Aviv for a couple is ($166). So that means a trip to Tel Aviv for two people for one week costs on average of $1,876, which is around Rs. 1,40,551. Now given the inflation and everything, it is obviously going to be more than this at current exchange of currency.

    After becoming a major box office pull globally with several blockbusters, Dwayne Johnson has now conquered the OTT space as well. 

    His recent film Red Notice released on Netflix to a record-breaking response around the world, and it was expected that soon it would become the most-watched film on the platform.

    Well, the inevitable has happened! Red Notice also starring Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot has become the most-watched Netflix film of all time beating Sandra Bullock starrer 2018 blockbuster Bird Box.

    Netflix takes into consideration the viewing hours in the first four weeks of their original film’s release. Bird Box was their biggest film with 282 million viewing hours in the first 28 days of its release. According to Netflix, Red Notice has smashed that record in flat 18 days and has garnered 328.8 million viewing hours.

    It has also been revealed that 50 per cent of all the Netflix subscribers around the world have watched Red Notice, so far. Not only that, but the movie also remains in the top 10 in 94 countries for 3 consecutive weeks.
    Reacting to the record-breaking success of Red Notice, The Rock, who is also the producer of the film, tweeted, “Holy shit RED NOTICE is now the most watched film in @netflix history. Previous record held by BIRD BOX in 2018 with 282 million hours viewed. With still 11 days to go, RED NOTICE has been viewed for 392 MILLION HOURS. F’n insane”.
    He further tweeted, “I also received confirmation (these metrics take time to be verified from the Wall Street folks) that well over 50% (closer to 60%) of all @netflix accounts have viewed RED NOTICE with an INCREDIBLE 92% AUDIENCE SCORE THANK U GUYS!!”

    The ending of the film teased a sequel and recently Red Notice director Rawson Marshall Thurber told Collider that “we’ve been having those conversations” with Netflix.

    There was a time when the one thing that would go hand in hand with Kangana Ranaut (apart from her rumoured boyfriends) was controversy. 
    However, it seems like things have taken a slight turn now, for what usually follows the actress’s name is either a new petition or a police complaint filed against her.
    And that is exactly what has happened even now.
    A new petition has been filed against the Manikarnika actress and not for something that she has recently done, but for all that she has done in the past. Especially, her controversial social media posts that have often been called provoking. 
    A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court against actor Kangana Ranaut seeking future censoring of all her social media posts in order to maintain law and order in the country.

    The petition has been filed by advocate Charanjeet Singh Chanderpal in the Supreme Court against Kangana for seeking to censor all of her social media posts going forward, under the context of maintaining law and order in the country.

    Riled up with Kangana’s recent gimmicks and rather inflammatory remarks on social media, Advocate Charanjeet Singh Chanderpal has claimed that her remarks are ‘totally against the unity of our country’, while also seeking a ‘serious punishment’ for the actress. 

    Further to this, Chanderpal has also sought direction to transfer all her FIRs filed across the country against her and is also pushing for a charge sheet to be filed in a period of six months with an expeditious trial within a period of 2 years.

    The plea filed against the actress read, “The remarks are not only outrageous and blasphemous but also intend to cause riots, hurt religious sentiments, they are defamatory as well as portray Sikhs in a totally anti-national manner. It also justifies the innocent killing of Sikhs. The remarks are totally against the unity of our country and the actress deserves a serious punishment in law. They cannot be brushed aside or excused."

    Bollywood without gossip and controversies is like a cake without its icing. Nowadays, celebrities have their PRs to regulate stories about them but back in the 90s, Bollywood actors were quite honest and had no filter on while giving interviews. We came across a Reddit thread wherein Amitabh Bachchan’s ) apolitical statement about rape can create a huge controversy. 
    A magazine called ‘Movie’ quotes Amitabh saying, “When rape is inevitable, lie back and enjoy it!” We aren’t sure if the statement is twisted to help the sales quotient of the magazine but it does sound very insensitive.

    Some users condemned and bashed Big B for saying something so heartless and inconsiderate while others also pointed out that it’s quite possible that the media must have twisted his statement.

    One of the users wrote, “Magazines have a way of twisting things out of context, I wonder if Bachan was referring to his own specific situation considering the question is asked if he is being victimized. Either way, it's a very stupid choice of words and he should know better.” 
    Another user wrote, “I saw this a few days ago on another post and I really got pissed, I knew AB has always been a tharki, but after reading this, his standard even became lower for me.”

    In recent times when people can put out their opinions on social media, Salman Khan courted controversy after he said during a media interaction that he felt like a "raped woman" walking out of a ring in his role as a wrestler in his upcoming film Sultan.

    Here’s the video of his comment:

    Later, Salman's father Salim Khan apologized on his behalf. Actresses like Kangana Ranaut, singer Sona Mohapatra, and Renuka Shahane slammed the superstar for the remark.
    Salman was heavily bashed on social media and Big B didn’t have to face the backlash because the concept of social media wasn’t even available or else it would have been an issue for the veteran actor.

    Bollywood is a place where actors, directors, and producers are under the microscope all the time.

    Be it their gym schedules, their dating lives, or the parties they are attending, nothing is ever really out of the eye of the public as people just love to hear all the gossips in the glamour-filled world of Bollywood. 
    Now, with the country currently being obsessed with the debacle around the supposed grand wedding of Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, where there is a story about a romantic success, there are also stories of some failures.
    One of them is the relationship and history of stars Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan

    As you are well versed with their story, the Jab We Met (actors actually dated each other for a period of five years. The two stars, both in the prime of their careers on the back of the success of Jab We Met, were even quite open about their love for each other.

    However, things just weren't meant to be and unfortunately for them and for us, people who rooted for them, they ended up calling it quits.
    Well, like all breakups, this too wasn't one that ended really well, with the two stars known to have not been in touch ever since despite being in the same industry.
    Now, both Shahid and Kareena ended up moving on by marrying their partners Mira Rajput and Saif Ali Khan, one can only wonder how things must have been post their breakup.

    Well, Shahid, who is known to usually be private about his matters, actually opened up about his breakup with the actress, stating that things were actually quite 'tough'.

    Here's what he said:
    “Today, I don’t like talking about my personal relationship because I feel that it’s my personal space. When I was in a relationship with Kareena, I used to think differently, but now things have changed. I have always wanted normalcy in my life. I have come from a middle-class family and a basic background, where I have travelled in buses and trains. I never lived in a bungalow surrounded by guards. But, the fact is that life changes after you become a star and I try my best not to get carried away by my celebrity lifestyle.”
    He then added how the whole thing left him 'hurt' and when asked whether he will work with Kareena again he said, “Breaking up with Kareena was tough, it did hurt. But as an actor, I have never let anything come in the way of my work. I have always given my best. I will. I have said this right from the time ‘the breakup’ happened that if a good movie comes and the director tells me that no one else except Kareena will suit a certain role, then I have no right to say that I won’t do the film. In fact, if my director will ask me to romance a cow or a buffalo, I will do that. It’s my job.” said Shahid.
    Shahid is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming sports drama film Jersey, which is slated to open to public viewing on December 31st.

    Seattle rapper Mackelmore has left an indelible impression on every music lover. From being the OG hip-hop king to creating headlines with controversies and rising above all the hardships - Mackelmore reminds us of a phoenix that rises from its ashes, no matter what. 
    He managed to top the Billboard Hot 100 with the song “Thrift Shop” - making a statement that he’s here to stay. He paved his way to success without the benefit of any major label, solely based on word of mouth, YouTube (among other social media) and pure unignorable talent!

    But his life has been anything but easy. Recently, I came across the Luminary podcast “People’s Party With Talib Kweli” where the two discussed Mackelmore’s career, fight with addiction, tryst with politicians and journey to mega-stardom. This 1 hour 40 minute podcast presents Mackelmore at his rawest and realest - and boy is it binge-worthy!

    Throwback To The Times Of “Yo, Do You Have This Tape?”Mackelmore talks about the inception of his rapping years when the rap climate was drastically different. The internet was a brand new concept, and he wasn’t savvy with the idea of a “world wide web” until later in high school.

    “Back then you really had to dig in the crates to find music”, he said. There was an underground culture of, “Yo! Do you have this tape?” He discusses how in his early years, finding the tapes and tracks you wanted was like finding a gem, it had its own charm. 
    How The Elements Of Hip-Hop Are Changing With TimeMackelmore started writing graffiti at a really young age, in 5th grade. That was his foray into hip-hop culture, and lasted throughout middle school. In the course of the podcast, he discusses how the elements of hip-hop are changing with time. He recalls going to park jams, hip-hop shows where you had to spray paint on the walls, you had MC battles, DJ battles, and what not! “Everyone was partaking in the culture, everyone had their little piece, that was a really different time period”, he said. 
    Art Is A Weapon Of ResistanceThe podcast also discusses Mackelmore’s penchant for “preservation of culture”. He continues to stay true to his OG hip-hop values, his learning curve, and the classic ingredients of hip-hop. 
    Talib Kweli and Mackelmore discuss the latter’s debut album “The Language of My World” where he addresses race, gender, homophobia, and addiction. In fact, the album also has a Bush song where he raps in the voice of George Bush! 
    The podcast also throws light on how Mackelmore is a white rapper from Seattle who addressed racist voter suppression through his craft. There weren’t many rappers from any race who broached this subject then. 
    Addiction - A DiseaseMackelmore also spoke about his struggle with addiction in detail. Back when he battled addiction, he wasn’t aware that a recovery community existed. He didn’t know that there were so many people in his city who were talking about the disease he had. “I went for years thinking - why can I not stop? When I wake up it's the first thing I think about”, said Mackelmore.  He then discussed the therapeutic value that one addict has for the other, how they help each other out of the dangerous dungeons of addiction.

    On this episode, he also mourned the demise of fellow hip-hop icons Mac Miller, Juice Wrld and Lil Peep, who died of mixed drug toxicity.
