Over the past few decades, Bollywood has managed to give us quite a few blockbuster hits that have made a special place in our hearts. We are talking about the select few evergreen Bollywood movies that we can sit and start watching anytime of any day, no questions asked.

    via GIPHY
And while now the entire nation seems to have a soft spot for movies like these, there was a time when these movies were rejected by some of the most renowned stars in Bollywood.
Here is a list of all the Bollywood hit films  that were once rejected by several big actors before finally making it to the big screen, and how.
    1) Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge © Yash Raj Films
This came to us as a shock, more than a surprise, considering we can’t even imagine anyone else essaying the role of iconic Raj Malhotra but Shah Rukh Khan. However as it turns out, Saif Ali Khan was first approached for the role, who obviously turned it down. There were even rumors about how Aditya Chopra wished to cast none other than Hollywood star Tom Cruise in the role, but was advised to stick to an Indian face by Yash Chopra.

    2) Dil To Pagal Hai © Yash Raj Films
Remember this hit film released in 1997 that gave us dreamy sequences and taught us about the pain of getting friendzoned? Turns out, Karisma Kapoor wasn’t the first choice for the role of Nisha. Juhi Chawla and Kajol both were approached first and only when they turned it down, that Karisma was cast for the film.

    3) Munnabhai M.B.B.S © Vinod Chopra Productions
The iconic film that introduced the concept of ‘Jaadu ki jhappi’ to all of us, was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan. As far as the role for the female protagonist is considered, it was rejected by actresses like Aishwarya Rai, Tabu and even Rani Mukherjee.

    4) Hum Tum © Yash Raj Films
One of my personal favourites, Hum Tum that had Saif and Rani in the lead roles wasn’t envisioned with Saif Ali Khan playing the role of Karan Kapoor. The role was first taken to actor Hrithik Roshan and when he said no, it was also offered to Vivek Oberoi. However, both actors had reservations about it, and it finally went to Saif Ali Khan, who as we know it, aced it!

    5) Dil Dhadakne Do © Excel Entertainment
One of the recent Bollywood marvels, Dil Dhadakne Do is one movie that is imperfectly perfect. One could even say, there could have been no one who would play the roles of the main characters better than the actors who did. However, it is a lesser known fact that almost every main character in the movie was not really Zoya Akhtar’s first choice. The roles of Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Shefali Shah were first offered to Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Raveena Tandon, respectively.

    6) Veer-Zaara © Yash Raj Films
The movie that made several hundred thousand people cry and the audience crazy for Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta’s pairing on screen, was first offered to none other than Kajol and Ajay Devgn. It was only when the couple turned down the offer, that SRK and Preity were approached for this gem, and the rest is history.

    What is a hair serum?

Isn’t it the same thing as hair oil?
    Not really.
Hair serum is a hair styling product that also nourishes your hair. Unlike hair oil which gets absorbed into the roots and strands of your hair, hair serum coats the surface of your hair.
It’s not meant for your scalp and is only applied on the shafts of your hair.
Now that you know what a hair serum is, you must be wondering do you really need it?
Well, that’s a decision you have to make for yourself. We’re only here to make the job easier for you.
Here’s all that you need to know about hair serums for men.

    1. Say Goodbye To Frizz If you have frizzy hair, you know that hydration is the most important thing for you. A hair serum helps in providing that while ensuring that your hair stays smooth and soft instead of frizzy and rough.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2462__

Start off by washing, conditioning and towel drying your hair. A serum is always applied on damp hair.

Next, pour one or two drops (depending on the thickness, length and volume of your hair) of the serum into your palms. Rub your palms together and comb the product through your fingers into your hair.
Voila, you’re done! You can now style your hair whichever way you want and your hair will look healthy and stay protected.

If you are one of those many men who love to look stylish but have no idea what really is attractive and look nice in the eyes of a woman, you are not alone. Not everyone is into fashion and that’s okay. However, what’s not okay is going on a first date donning an outfit that puts off your woman, rather than making her fall for your looks.

    © iStock
Here is a guide on how to not look like a total fashion disaster. If you don’t know what women find irresistible on men, at least you can know what to steer clear of so you don’t blow off your chances of getting the girl on the basis of poor style.

    © iStock
Here are 6 specific things that men usually wear to impress women, which in fact backfires and puts a woman off.

    1. Capri Shorts © iStock
The 101 to dressing smart is not to wear anything you would wear to coaching classes when you were in school. It means it’s time to throw away your capris and long shorts that you wore as a teenager.

    2. Funky Suits  © iStock
A man in a well-fitted suit can make any woman weak in the knees but that doesn’t mean any and every three-piece will have the same effect on us. Flashy suits, pastels and prints in business attire screams freaky.

    3. Corny Tees © iStock
There’s a fine line between cool and fool when it comes to doing casual dressing. While graphic T-shirts are in, don’t wear one with corny or sexist one liners.

    4. Extremely Low Waist Jeans © iStock
We don’t know who thought that underwear peeking out would be irresistible to women, but I think I speak for the entire female species when I say it’s unflattering to us.

    5. A Flashy Belt © iStock
If there’s anything more unappealing than the golden spikes it’s a fancy belt that can be spotted from a mile away. Stay away from huge buckles, gaudy and overstated belts.

    6. Flip Flops © iStock
Women notice men’s footwear more than you can imagine and if you don’t want to do sneakers or stylish shoes, at least put on sliders or cool slip-ons rather than showing up in run-down slippers.

Pakistan cricket team registered perhaps their biggest-ever victory when they defeated arch-rivals India by 10 wickets in their opening encounter of the T20 World Cup in Dubai. For them it was a momentous occasion as they had never beaten Men In Blue in a World Cup event.
From bowling to batting to fielding, the Babar Azam-led side thoroughly dominated Virat Kohli and his men and won the match quite convincingly.
    © Twitter ICC
There were plenty of positives for Pakistan, whether you talk about their pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi’s opening spell in which he got rid of both the Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul or the performance of their opening pair of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who made a mockery of India’s solid bowling attack.
However, instead of talking about all the good things, it seems as if most people in Pakistan are focused on mixing religion with sports. On Monday, their Interior minister Sheikh Rasheed described their win as “victory of Islam” and made a contrversial claim about Indian muslims saying they were “rooting for Pakistan’s win”.
    © Reuters
Such an absurd speech coming from a politician wasn’t a surprise but everyone was left shocked when one of the all-time greatest cricketers joined in and mixed religion and sports. And this legendary cricketer was none other than their former fast bowler Waqar Younis, who was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2013.

Younis was present on a Pakistan TV channel as part of an expert panel to reflect on the India-Pakistan match. Watching the two Pakistani openers dominate the Indian bowlers on the night, made us admire the skills and execution of the opposition players.
    © Reuters
But sadly for the 49-year-old former cricketer, the biggest takeaway from the game was the fact that Rizwan offered Namaz in the middle in front of the ‘Hindus’.

Shocked, right? Well don’t be because we kid you not this is exactly what he said:
"Rizwan offered Namaz during #INDvPAK match in middle of Hindus was most satisfying thing Mashallah, even more than his batting"

    - Waqar Younis & Shoaib Akhtar discusspic.twitter.com/ELTVJSTqh4
    — Pakistan Untold (@pakistan_untold) October 26, 2021
“And the most beautiful thing that Rizwan did was he offered Namaz in the ground itself in front of Hindus. For me that was the most satisfying thing, Mashallah, that was really something very, very special for me,” Waqar said during the discussion on ARY News.
Mohammad Rizwan during the water break in Indian innings #PakvInd pic.twitter.com/RHbGGztuH7
    — Mansoor Ali Khan (@_Mansoor_Ali) October 24, 2021
The incident Younis was referring to happened during the drinks break. While the Indian players were sipping energy drinks and dehydrating themselves standing at one end, Rizwan used the break to offer his prayers.
    © Reuters
Every player is well within his rights to offer prayers but the way Younis brought it up during the Live TV discussion and dragged “Hindus” unnecessarily in it, reflected his mediocre thinking.

Let us not fault Pakistan, after all this experience is alien to them as they had never won against India before, hence nobody taught the poor fellows how to celebrate a victory without looking like a fool.

We all know what a typical Diwali setting may look like. You go to your friend’s or relative’s place for a Taash party and end up eating way more sweets than necessary.

From laddoos and halwa to puris and kachoris, if you’re trying to get healthier, the festive season is surely going to be challenging for you.
Festive food is undoubtedly a treat to cherish, but can you really eat within your calorie limit during the season?
It will take a lot of self-control and mindfulness, but yes, you can.
To begin with, sweets are one of the high-calorie foods you should look out for. Easy to binge on and high in calories, these foods can easily throw your diet off balance.
However, there are some low-cal options that you can go for. They taste just as good and won’t give you a guilt trip afterwards.
    1. Kaju Katli  © iStock
One piece of kaju katli has about 50 calories. This delicacy is made using cashews, ghee and sugar. If you’re planning to make this sweet at home, you can reduce the calorie count by using a low-calorie sugar substitute.

    __ECOMPRODUCT__2720__
    2. Peanut Barfi  © iStock
A peanut barfi is usually made using peanuts, milk, khoya and sugar. As delicious as it sounds, this sweet has a little over 100 calories, per piece, when made using refined sugar.

    __ECOMPRODUCT__2721__
    3. Kalakand  © iStock
Kalakand is one of the most popular Indian sweets and favourite of many. As compared to some other Indian sweets, this one has a relatively lower calories count. One piece of Kalakand has about 120-135 calories.

    __ECOMPRODUCT__2722__
    4. Rasgulla  © iStock
This popular treat is made using chenna and is one of the lightest desserts out there. One piece of rasgulla has as little as 106 calories. Most of its calories come from the sugary syrup it’s dipped in. In case you want to make this healthier, you can always replace the sugar with a healthier alternative.

    __ECOMPRODUCT__2621__
    5. Dry Fruit Sweets © iStock
Last but not the least, there’s a plethora of Indian sweets that are made using dry fruits and seeds. Sesame ladoos, almond and walnut barfis and what not. While the calorie count of these sweets may vary, they will mostly range anywhere from 100 to 140 calories. They are undoubtedly one of the healthiest desserts.

    __ECOMPRODUCT__2723__
They mostly have a calorie count that’s way lower than sweets like motichoor ladoos and gajar ka halwa.
The Bottomline If you’ve been working on your fitness for quite a while now, you know the importance of nutrition. However, it is the festive season after all, so make sure that you don’t restrict yourself too much and allow yourself to enjoy some of those delicious sweets. Just avoid binging on them and you’ll be just fine.

If you have binge-watched the crazy Netflix series You, then like us, you also have multiple thoughts. While some fans felt the third season was a drag in some parts, overall the adrenaline factor was high with the unpredictable twists and turns. For us, we couldn’t stop and wonder if a ‘desi’ adaptation was made, who’d play Joe.
Here are 5 top contenders in our opinion:

    1. Ranbir KapoorCall it his dangerously good looks, that deep stare or his impeccable acting skills, pick whatever strength you want, but you can't argue that he’d do a fantastic job playing the man who kills for love and sometimes kills out of boredom.

    2. Ranveer SinghThere is a certain eerie madness to the character of Joe Goldberg which one can find in the eyes of Ranveer Singh, the actor (remember his role of Khilji in Padmavat?). Trust him to wear those colourful cardigans and loafers and kill a human after taking his lady on a date to the movies. Oh, I am imagining what can be the plot for this movie?

    3. Vicky KaushalHe is on this list because he is a great actor and he is so relatable! Imagine a character in a cap drinking cappuccino like no one’s business, who is basically a murderer by night after finishing his day job. Oh and that warm smile! Who would ever doubt that?

    4. Ayushmann KhurranaThe guy can own any role in the world so it will not come as a surprise if one moment his character is crooning Paani Da Rang with a chirpy smile and guitar in hand, and another moment he is shoving bodies under a bridge.

    5. Hrithik RoshanProbably the only 40+ actor on the list and for some legit reasons. Firstly, his good looks are a magnet for the average human. So he’s like the clown from IT, showing a red balloon and boom! Anyone will follow him. Secondly, we already loved him in a negative character as Aryan in Dhoom 2 so it's only fair that someone gives him a wonderfully written role again. I am betting on him as a mysterious professor at College by the day, and a murderer in love post work.

Mohammed Shami became an easy target for ultra-right trolls after India lost to Pakistan in their opening match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Dubai. Shami, the only Muslim player in the Indian Playing XI, was subjected to online abuse and hatred, with trolls blaming him for Team India’s first-ever loss to Pakistan in the World Cup events.
    © Twitter/Mohammed Shami
Apart from Shami, skipper Virat Kohli, despite top-scoring for the side, faced heavy criticism after the defeat but the kind of abuse that Shami got was unparalleled. More than his expensive spell, the pacer from Uttar Pradesh was attacked due to his religious identity as trolls disguised as cricket fans called him a “traitor”, and asked him to go to Pakistan.

Shami has been a great servant of Indian cricket for so many years now and questioning his patriotism and commitment to the side after one game was totally unacceptable.
    © Twitter/Mohammed Shami
It was heartening to see celebrities from all walks of life coming forward and standing in solidarity with the Indian speedster and the other team members. From legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar to former all-rounder Irfan Pathan to Congress politician Rahul Gandhi to Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, there was no dearth of support for the Indian cricketers on social media.

When we support #TeamIndia, we support every person who represents Team India. @MdShami11 is a committed, world-class bowler. He had an off day like any other sportsperson can have.

I stand behind Shami & Team India.
    — Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) October 25, 2021Even I was part of #IndvsPak battles on the field where we have lost but never been told to go to Pakistan! I’m talking about of few years back. THIS CRAP NEEDS TO STOP. #Shami
    — Irfan Pathan (@IrfanPathan) October 25, 2021Disappointed dat #India lost its first game of the #T20WorldCup2021 Even more disappointed to see all the abuse by so called cricket fans to players on social media. It’s a game for God sake & all players are human. They DO NOT DESERVE all this negativity & slander. #indvspak
    — Preity G Zinta (@realpreityzinta) October 24, 2021Mohammad #Shami we are all with you.

These people are filled with hate because nobody gives them any love. Forgive them.
    — Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) October 25, 2021Mohammed Shami has been a stellar performer for India for eight years, playing a significant role in many a victory. He can't be defined by one performance. My best wishes are always with him. I urge fans & followers of the game to support @MdShami11 and the Indian team.
    — VVS Laxman (@VVSLaxman281) October 25, 2021We love you @MdShami11 #Shami
    — Harbhajan Turbanator (@harbhajan_singh) October 25, 2021We are so proud of you @MdShami11 bhaiya
    — Yuzvendra Chahal (@yuzi_chahal) October 25, 2021Criticising is fine but khiladiyon ko abuse nahi karna chahiye. Ye game hai, better team on that day won.
    — Yusuf Pathan (@iamyusufpathan) October 25, 2021This incident once again proved that for every 100 malicious people in our society, we have 1,000 good people who know that only love has the power to defeat hatred.
It was unfortunate that Shami and the Indian team players had to endure this hatred while those whose actions were worthy of condemnation managed to stay away from the radar.
According to several reports, in some parts of the country people celebrated Pakistan’s victory as their own by bursting firecrackers. Several videos of students celebrating the victory of our arch-rivals had gone viral all over the internet.
Firecrackers are banned during Diwali but yesterday in parts of India there were firecrackers to celebrate Pakistan ‘s victory. Achha they must have been celebrating victory of cricket. Toh , what’s the harm in fireworks on Diwali. Hypocrisy kyun ,Saara gyaan tab hi yaad aata hai
    — Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) October 25, 2021Those bursting crackers on Pak winning can’t be Indian! We stand by our boys! #Shameful
    — Gautam Gambhir (@GautamGambhir) October 25, 2021Those who are targeting Mohammad Shami and Those who celebrated Pakistan's victory.
    You don't represent India..
You are equally unimportant to nation.
You don't deserve to watch the game..
Hope one day you will rise above the dirty politics and become true indian.#MohammedShami
    — Rehman Khan (@rehmanology) October 25, 2021“Those who are targeting Mohammad Shami and Those who celebrated Pakistan's victory. You don't represent India.. You are equally unimportant to nation. You don't deserve to watch the game. Hope one day you will rise above the dirty politics and become true indian. #MohammedShami,” wrote stand-up comedian Rehman Khan.
If there was something that needed to be condemned, it was these people who cheered on and celebrated Pakistan cricket team’s win, not Shami or Kohli who gave their all on the field but came up short.
