    Not all Bollywood stars start big or have a dream launch in the Hindi film industry. A lot of them, especially those who do not belong to the film background, have to struggle and start out their careers with minor roles in TV and films before they get their big break. Rajkummar Rao, who is now one of the most bankable actors in Bollywood, has a similar story.

    Rao has a glorious trajectory in films. He has given some of the best performances in Bollywood and many awards and accolades to his name. However, his first role was barely a three-second, uncredited appearance in a big movie. It was an Amitabh Bachchan starrer, to be precise. Rao recently shared this on the show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati  13’ which is hosted by Bachchan.

    The promo of the Shandaar Shanivaar episode shows Rao asking Bachchan to stand and look into the camera for five seconds with him. He shared the reason for this request was he wanted to share the screen with the superstar in his debut film but couldn’t.

    “In my first film Rann, I did a three-second role in the film. I really wanted to do a scene with you, but I didn’t get the chance. So I thought instead of three seconds, I’ll get to share the screen with you for five seconds,” he said.

    He was talking about 2010 movie Rann  where he played a newsreader that appears for a few seconds, while Amitabh played the CEO of the same newschannel, Vijay Harshwardhan Malik.

    "Sir has been my co-actor so what if he doesn't remember that I was in the film?” he said to Kriti when she told Bachchan, “Sir, he has said that you've asked him to call you AB ji.” To this, Bachchan humbly responds, “So what? AB is my name.” Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon will be making an appearance on the show this Saturday to promote their upcoming movie Hum Do Humare Do.

    It was Rajkummar’s first minor role in Rann for which he wasn’t even given name credits. His next movie was his first big break Love *** Aur Dhokha released in 2010 that brought him fame and success. And, there was no turning back.

    The T20 World Cup 2021 match between India and Pakistan turned out to be a catalyst to some very big rivalries and pent-up aggression coming out on both sides of the border. What was supposed to be just another cricket match, became an agent of communal disturbances, and a reason for players to put forward their personal matters with each other… and it got ugly.
    Take the online “discussion” between Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir. The whole issue was supposed to be banter but quickly escalated into the two sides taking a dig at each other’s pasts and personal insults.

    It all started when Amir hopped on Twitter to ask how Singh was coping with India’s 10-wicket loss to Pakistan in their first T20 World Cup 2021 clash which ended Pakistan’s streak of ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup losses against the Men in Blue ever since the inception of international cricket.

    Singh, who is known for not backing down from an opportunity to put someone in their place, replied to Amir’s tweet with a video of him hitting a long six off the Pakistani pacer’s delivery after Shoaib Akhtar had tried to get under his skin previously in the same match.

    Amir responded by sharing a video of former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi hitting four consecutive sixes against Bhajji in a Test match. This seemed to have touched a wrong nerve for Harbhajan, as this is when things began to get ugly.
    “Lords mai no ball kaise ho gya tha ?? Kitna liya kisne diya ? Test cricket hai no ball kaise ho sakta hai ? Shame on u and ur other supporters for disgracing this beautiful game,” Singh hit back with the biggest stain on Amir’s cricketing career when he was found guilty of spot-fixing during the 2010 Test series against England.
    Singh doubled his assault on Amir’s past, this time sharing the video of the very moment when it was clear that the Pakistani bowler was involved in something dubious when he delivered an obvious no-ball in the longest format of the game.

    The rivalry came a full circle when Bhajji shared the video of him hitting a six against Amir once again. “Fixer ko sixer.. out of the park @iamamirofficial chal daffa ho ja,” he wrote. To this, Amir replied: “chal bhai me tu laga sone, u sit and do some icing on ur pichwara trust me u'll in ur senses. GOOD NIGHT.”

    For quite some time, there have been speculations that Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are dating each other but they have been tight-lipped about their relationship. They have been spotted at multiple events together but have chosen to be secretive about their alleged relationship.

    For the unversed, Katrina and Vicky’s dating rumours had started doing the rounds when during an award show, the actor had confessed that he has a huge crush on Katrina. While both were on the stage to present an award, Vicky had asked her, "Why don't you find a nice boy like Vicky Kaushal and get married to him?" He further raised eyebrows by asking her, "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi?”

    A while back, there were rumours of their engagement doing the rounds of the internet but it was quashed by their official teams as they were shooting for their respective projects and weren’t even together. Now, the gossip columns have been writing about their marriage plans. According to a report in ETimes, the couple is already prepping for their wedding. A source said, “Their wedding outfits are being designed by Sabyasachi. They are currently in the process of choosing fabrics for the same; Katrina has chosen a raw silk number for her ensemble, which is going to be a lehenga. The wedding will take place in November-December.”
    Amid all these rumours, they were spotted together with celebrity manager Reshma Shetty yesterday only adding fuel to their wedding chatter in the news.

    However, there’s a twist here.
    Katrina has denied the news and told BollywoodLife that it is not true and she isn’t getting married. Talking about the reason behind these rumours then, Katrina said, “That’s a question I have had for the last 15 years.”
    An insider source also denied these reports and told the portal, “This is absolutely rubbish. The two actors have no such plans. It has become a trend for some [people] to circulate such stories about Vicky and Katrina every few months.”
    When Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were to get married, they also denied the reports and just dropped the pictures on Instagram of their wedding day. Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar were also tight-lipped about their relationship and shocked fans with their wedding photos.

    When it comes to international cricket, there aren’t a lot of people who would disagree that commentator Harsha Bhogle is one of the sensible and respected voices behind the microphone. When he speaks, the entire world listens.
    So when he decided to talk about former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Younis’ toxic religion-based comments following the Pakistan team’s win against India in their first encounter of the T20 World Cup 2021, Bhogle got some powerful support from all over the world.

    Pakistan’s opening batter Mohammad Rizwan played an exceptional innings and was at 79* off just 55 deliveries when his partner and team captain Babar Azam hit the scoring runs in Mohammed Shami’s over. This also led to Shami facing a whole lot of disturbing hate mails and comments.
    However, when he scored the half-century, he could be seen on his knees offering Namaz in the middle of the Dubai International Stadium during the drinks break, while the Indian cricketers were discussing their strategy elsewhere.

    After months of speculation, Rahul Dravid has finally submitted his application for the head coach role of the senior men’s cricket team. The former batting great, who is the current director of the National Cricket Academy, waited till the deadline day to formally apply for the coveted job.
    News agency Press Trust of India confirmed this development citing a senior BCCI official, who said that now that Dravid has finally applied for the role, his appointment is nothing but a formality.

    “Yes, Rahul has formally applied today as it is the last day of the deadline. His team at the NCA, bowling coach Paras (Mhambrey) and fielding coach Abhay (Sharma) have already applied. His application was just a formality,” wrote news agency PTI, in its report quoting an unnamed senior BCCI official.

    This development comes days after the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly rubbished reports that claimed Dravid had agreed to take Ravi Shastri’s place after his tenure ended next month. Reacting to the reports last week, the former India skipper said that nothing has been finalised as yet and any decision will be made after following the due process.

    “There’s no confirmation, I only read it in the newspapers. There is due process. It has been advertised. If he wants to apply, then he will,” Ganguly said on Aaj Tak’s ‘Salaam Cricket’ show.

    The former southpaw also rejected the media reports that stated that Dravid agreed for the role after he met with him and secretary Jay Shah in Dubai during the IPL 2021 final between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
    “Right now, he is the director of NCA. He came to meet us in Dubai to talk about NCA. How to take it forward. We all believe the NCA has a big role in developing the future of Indian cricket. NCA creates the next generation of Indian cricketers. So, he wanted to discuss that,” Ganguly added.

    For a long time, Dravid showed reluctance to take up the role with the senior cricket team mainly due to two reasons -- first that he has a young family and he didn’t want to be away from them and secondly he wanted to continue his work as the NCA director and groom the next crop of players.

    The reason why Ganguly rubbished news about Dravid’s appointment was because as per the BCCI constitution, the Indian cricket board is bound to follow a due procedure. They can’t just unilaterally decide who will be the next coach of India. It’s not their job.

    All they can do is form a Cricket Advisory Committee which will conduct the interviews and will make appointments after through screenings.

    If there was any doubt about Dravid’s appointment as the next coach, he wouldn’t have submitted his application in the first place. The decision has already been made and it’s only a matter of time till we get the formal announcement.

    Indian skipper Virat Kohli refused to hide behind excuses and took the loss like a true superstar. 
    “We didn't execute properly. Credit where it's due and Pakistan outplayed us today. They started brilliantly with the ball, and 3 wickets for 20 runs was not a good start. We needed wickets early but with the bat they gave us absolutely no chances,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
    “It played slow in the first half and hitting through the line was not that easy as it was in the second half, after 10 overs. We needed those 15-20 extra runs and for that we needed a good start but Pakistan's bowling didn't allow us to get those extra runs,” he added.
