I get it, women are tough. There are times when it becomes almost impossible to decipher what they want and getting confused about whether or not she is interested in you is a common dilemma among men. Especially those who have been raised on an unhealthy diet of Bollywood movies that promote chasing a girl until her ‘no’ turns into a ‘yes’ all too often.

But this isn’t a Karan Johar movie guys and chasing after her, relentlessly, won’t make you come across as this big romantic guy, but only a creep who won’t quit.
Which is, while it is important to go after what you want in life and not give up that easily, it is also important to know when to back off. Here are 5 signs it’s time to stop pursuing a woman.
    1) She Only Seeks You Out For An Emotional Relationship © iStock
No matter how hard you’re trying to get her attention, you seem to only succeed when she is in an emotional rollercoaster and wants someone to be in her corner. Whether it is a fight with a friend or a disagreement at work, she will reach out to you only for emotional support and all the other times, you’ll be on your own.

    2) Still Getting Over A Break-up
    via GIPHY
Take it from Ross and Rachel you guys, no woman who has just gotten out of a relationship will be ready to jump into a new one just yet. And that entire idea of being there for her until she feels ready and lending an ear will only land you in the friendzone. And we all know how there is no coming back from there, is it?
    3) She Keeps You At An Arm's Length © iStock
Yes she might ring you up to rant every now and then, even talk about work and her aspirations, but when a woman starts acting like a closed book in front of you, it is usually a big hint to back off. If you feel that she dodges any real conversation with you, about her fears, her past, then it could be that she doesn’t see you in that light to confide in you.

    4) It’s Not Going Anywhere
    via GIPHY
It’s been months, you’ve been consistent about your pursuit for her and you’re probably putting your best foot forward every single day, yet you’re no farther from where you started. Despite trying to have a conversation with her about what you mean to her, you’re stuck with the ‘friend’ tag and chances are, that it isn’t going to change if it hasn’t till now.

This is the time when you unlearn every toxic love-lesson that Bollywood has bestowed on you and start taking a ‘no’ as what it is - a f**king no. When she tells you she isn’t into you like that, it doesn’t mean a ‘maybe’ and it sure as hell does not mean for you to try harder. If she likes you, she won’t skip out on the chance to be upfront with you and if she’s not doing that, it’s time to move and invest in someone who will reciprocate your feelings and your efforts. We all deserve to be loved back, after all.

In an ideal world, holidays would mean joy. They would mean eating good food, catching up with friends and relatives, going out, dressing up, enjoying days on end and feeling refreshed and joyful. In reality, none of that really transpires, especially since it is the very part about meeting your old friends or relatives that gives you anxiety  in the first place.

Don’t get me wrong, catching up with family members and making social appearances can be fun, but for a lot of people out there, it is a complete nightmare thanks to the over-intrusive relatives and personal digs that they usually make.
Which is why it could be a good idea to go in prepared to avoid the unsolicited and unnecessary holiday stress.  Here are 5 tips to overcome anxiety around the time of holidays.
    1) Etch Out Your Plan

If you are someone who gets ticked off too quickly in the presence of relatives, it is best to make a plan for how you want your holidays to go. Set a timeline and decide the number of days you’re comfortable to spend with your family so as to avoid feeling unwelcome or bothered. This can also mean deciding upon and communicating personal boundaries so you don’t feel anxious.
    2) Take A Friend Along
    via GIPHY
It is true, friends make everything easier. Even the most dreaded holiday gatherings, by simply being there and having your back. Consider taking a plus one along on social events or parties where you think they can help in keeping you calm. If anything, they can offer comfort in an otherwise stressful or awkward setting.
    3) Avoid Social Media
    via GIPHY
An otherwise important part of our lives, social media might be addictive and fun even, but whether or not we acknowledge it is a source of a lot of anxiety and deprssion. Sometimes because we feel bad about comparing ourself with those picture-perfect lives of others, and other times because putting details of our lives on a public forum puts us at risk of scrutiny. Such insecurities only heighten during holidays when there is extra pressure to appear collected and successful. Which is why, maintaining a little distance from social media could be a good idea to lower than stress.
    4) Let Go Of The Idea Of ‘Perfection’

It is okay for things to go wrong every once in a while, and eventhough it may present a minor setback, things not panning out the way you imagined doesn’t always have to be bad. It is okay to not be at your best self, to falter, to fail even. Don’t beat yourself up over having it together and perfect , sometimes things go a lot more smoothly when you’re not trying to control them.

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has made a name for himself as one of the best finishers to play for his country in shorter formats of the game.
Recently, the 32-year-old revealed an interesting conversation he had with Mahendra Singh Dhoni during the Indian Premier League season, which made him feel praised and a little bit insulted at the same time.
"He was actually very honest with me. He understood me very well and he sort of said how they (CSK) would try to bowl to me and how he tried to set the fields for me. [It] was both a compliment but also a little dig where I have to figure out which way to take it and I’m taking it as a compliment (laughs),” Stoinis said in a conversation with The Grade Cricketer’s YouTube channel.

“It was very interesting he did say that it’s very obvious how some people want to take some responsibility and stay until the end, whereas some people are willing to take the risk early to, sort of, either try and get ahead of the game or walk off and he identifies that within the team,” Stoinis added.
Both Dhoni and Stoinis have been well-seasoned when it comes to the Indian T20 league. However, the Australian is still looking for his first title while having played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).
On the other hand, Dhoni, who has been the captain of the Chennai Super Kings from the very first season of the tournament, recently bagged his fourth championship with the franchise.

“We spoke about training, we spoke about his belief on ‘Work on your weakness as long as it’s not taking anything away from your strength’. So he spoke about how a lot of coaches will ask you to work on things and you might work on the short ball and then you start missing the full ball… which was a really, really nice filter for me for training,” the all-rounder added.

India and Australia clashed in a warm-up match ahead of their T20 World Cup campaign which the Men in Blue won by 8 wickets and 13 balls to spare.
While Dhoni was present by the Indian squad as their mentor, Stoinis had himself a decent innings in which he remained unbeaten at 41 runs off 25 balls.
