Mizoram's Power and Electricity minister R Lalzirliana has set a new benchmark in leading by example. On Friday, the minister was seen mopping the floors of a hospital where he is undergoing treatment for COVID-19 along with his wife and son.
And there are politicians like R Lalzirliana, the power minister of #Mizoram, who was seen mopping the floor of the Covid ward where he is recovering after testing positive.#Aizawl #Northeast pic.twitter.com/IoBhvJB0us
— Anupam Bordoloi (@asomputra) May 14, 2021
However, the minister's motive wasn't to embarrass the medical staff or authorities. “My motive in mopping the floors was not to embarrass the nurses or doctors but I want to educate and lead others by setting an example,” Lalzirliana said.
Lalzirliana had called a sweeper since his room was messy. However, since the sweeper could not come, he himself started mopping the floor. “Sweeping, mopping the floors or performing household chores are no new jobs to me. I used to do at home and other places when it was required to do so,” the minister said.
The photograph of him mopping the floor has gone viral on social media and people are lauding him for leading by example. Here's what people had to say
Those are the good leaders generally seen in northeast state.Even I had experienced at Gangtok when a top level bureaucrat cleaned the nearby area for some local event made by government.
— Subhra (@Subhra__sahoo) May 15, 2021These r real peoples & real leaders.
Mizoram Minister R Lalzirliana is a normal human being not a robot like pampered babu or businessmen politicians that Modi Shah or many other north Indian leaders are!
Simplicity is totally missing from PM, HM down to last BJP Govt Ministers
— Capt G R Choudhary (@captgrc) May 15, 2021These guys in the central govt should learn from here ... Humility is the hallmark if the great and the learned while arrogance is the mask the weak use to hide their weakness !!! Innumerable examples exist in history if the above facts !!
— Rajesh (@rmohan137india) May 15, 2021Its all about upbringing Anupam.
Lalzirliana is sticking to its roots and routine.
I am happy such person still exist.
— Amitabh Dutta (@duttaamitabh) May 15, 2021very powerful photo, he is protecting a health worker by doing this.
— Ravi (@raviohere) May 14, 2021This entire generation of Mizoram politicians are legends. Self discipline is the dedrock of their politics. Salutes.
— shubhankar mukherjee (@shubhan48431879) May 15, 2021Wonderful gesture from elected representative...
— mohit sharma (@mohit00005) May 15, 2021This is not the first time Lalzirliana has mopped the floor. He had also done the same at Mizoram House during his visit to Delhi in the past. Moreover, it's become a recurring theme in Mizoram to denounce VIP culture. In the past, several ministers have been seen doing chores, using public transport or even cooking during community feasts during festivals.
The minister along with his wife had tested positive for COVID-19 on May 11, after their son tested positive on May 8. After being in home isolation, they were shifted to the state's dedicated COVID-19 facility on May 12. “We are fine here. The medical staff and nurses are taking good care of us,” he said.

Michael Vaughan and banter go hand in hand in the world of international cricket with the cricketer always being vocal about his opinions on Twitter. And with the final of the World Test Championship around the corner, the time was ripe for the former England captain to share his two cents on who he believes is the best batsman in the world.
Comparisons have always been drawn between Kane Williamson and Virat Kohli, arguably two of the best batsmen across all formats of the game in the world right now. Michael Vaughan also weighed in on the debate and sided with Kane Williamson as his pick for the best batsman in the world. “If Kane Williamson was Indian, he would be the greatest player in the world. But he’s not because you’re not allowed to say that Virat Kohli is not the greatest, because you’d get an absolute pelting on social media," Vaughan had said in an interview to Spark Sport.
"If #KaneWilliamson was Indian, he'd be the greatest player in the world, but he's not because you're not allowed to say that #ViratKohli is not the greatest," Vaughan said. #WTCFinal https://t.co/hQfW6tAHTK
— India Today Sports (@ITGDsports) May 14, 2021
"So, you all say Virat is the best purely to get few more clicks and likes, few more numbers following here. Kane Williamson, across formats, is equally the best. I think the way he plays, the calm demeanour, his humbleness, the fact that he is silent about what he does,” he added. However, this didn't go down well with Indian fans and here's how they reacted to the tweet:
pic.twitter.com/DPwmLHw4hl
— Ramesh Khanal (@RameshK54981982) May 14, 2021Ye kabhi nhi sudharega @MichaelVaughan @imVkohli is the best in all formats
Kane is only best test player
— Rahul saraswat (@RahulSa63634388) May 14, 2021Virat Kohli is the best batsman of this generation and there's absolutely nothing @MichaelVaughan can do about it. pic.twitter.com/WmTvT0kqPi
— BABAR KOHLI (@KuntasticAguero) May 14, 2021Virat Kohli is the best batsman of this generation and there's absolutely nothing @MichaelVaughan can do about it. pic.twitter.com/WmTvT0kqPi
— BABAR KOHLI (@KuntasticAguero) May 14, 2021 The tweet also caught Wasim Jaffer's attention who was quick to troll Vaughan with his savage tweet.
Extra ungli Hrithik ke paas hai par karta Michael Vaughan hai #ViratKohli #KaneWilliamson https://t.co/YRnOyPwwNC
— Wasim Jaffer (@WasimJaffer14) May 14, 2021
Wasim Jaffer has garnered quite a bit of a following for himself on Twitter and the former cricketer's quips always get Indian Cricket fans going on the micro blogging platform.
However, it wasn't just fans who took note of Jaffer's tweet, Vaughan was also quick to respond to it
I presume you are agreeing with me Wasim !! https://t.co/vPS2VBB1mf
— Michael Vaughan (@MichaelVaughan) May 14, 2021
Now, how do we explain it to Vaughan that we couldn't translate it for him in English even if we wanted to.

The world of crossfit seems pretty intimidating at first. Most of us think of crossfit training as an advanced workout that requires crazy high jumps, kettle bells and what not.
Well, this isn’t true at all.
There are plenty of bodyweight crossfit workouts that you can easily do at home. They require no fancy equipment or beast-mode energy levels. These workouts are commonly known as WODs or workout of the day.
While some of these WODs can be very dynamic and full of equipment, they can also be designed to suit a beginner working out from home.
Here are 7 beginner-friendly crossfit workouts that you can try at home.
1. 16-Minute WOD In a time frame of 16 minutes, do as many rounds of the following exercises as possible.
5 burpees 5 pull ups 10 lunges 10 sit ups Once you develop endurance, you can double the count of these exercises.

6. Bodyweight WOD Do 8 rounds of the following set as quickly as possible.
10 push ups 10 air squats 10 burpees 10 air squats 7. Interval Cardio This last one is perfect for all the runners out there. Do 10 rounds of the following routine at a comfortable and consistent pace.
100 meters of sprinting 100 meters of walking __ECOMPRODUCT__739__
Final Thoughts While working out, you can take upto 45 seconds of rest in between your rounds.
All these workouts may be beginner friendly but don’t mistake them for being easy. Crossfit is a form of high intensity interval training so make sure you get plenty of rest time to recover.
Remember to start small and be consistent and you're bound to see results.

With the advent of OTT platforms, people have found a new way to consume entertainment. Directors and writers too have found a space where they can be experimental and can come up with some great content. From watching daily soaps on TV channels to transitioning to binge-watching shows on OTT platforms, a lot has changed and viewers have accepted this mode of entertainment too.
There have been a few shows that people have really loved watching and have been waiting for their second seasons way too desperately. The announcements of season two of these shows have already happened but it does feel like ‘intezaar lamba hai’.
The Family Man
After watching the first season of The Family Man, people couldn't wait for the second season of Manoj Bajpayee's show. The series revolves around Srikant Tiwari, played by Manoj, who might be a regular family man, but when at work, he is a 'world-class spy' dealing with terrorists. The second season would be bigger and the teaser has already been dropped. The second season of the series The Family Man, which was expected to release on February 12, 2021, has now been postponed. Filmmakers Raj and DK, who are the directors of The Family Man, took to their Instagram to announce the update. “We know you've been eagerly waiting for the new season of The Family Man. We are truly grateful and humbled by all the love! We have an update for you. The Family Man Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video this summer! We have been working super hard to get you a kickass season. And we are pretty sure you will love it. Can't wait to bring it to you (sic)," the note read. The Kota Factory
Kota Factory was one of the most promising series in 2019 and was appreciated for its realistic portrayal of coaching centers. The first season was set in Kota, Rajasthan, and followed the life of 16-year-old Vaibhav (Mayur More) who moves to the city from Itarsi. It chronicled Vaibhav's efforts to get into the Indian Institute of Technology. The series also starred Jitendra Kumar, Ahsaas Channa, Alam Khan, and Ranjan Raj in various roles. According to reports, season 2 will release in 2021, however, a specific premiere date has not been revealed yet.

After the blockbuster success of Scam 1992, Hansal Mehta is all set to return with the next season of the show. The show is tentatively titled Scam 2003: The Curious Case of Abdul Karim Telgi. The series will delve into the life of Abdul Karim Telgi, who earned a fortune by printing fake stamp paper. Quite a long wait, we must say!

The second wave of COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc all across India with the country reporting more than three lakh positive cases per day and around 4,000 deaths being reported consistently for the past few days.
Help has been pouring in from all across the globes with countries sending in medical aid ranging from ventilators to oxygen concentrators and the likes. Besides medical aid, India has also been one of the major topics of discussion internationally. And the latest international celebrity to share his thoughts on India's ongoing crisis is Matthew Hayden.
The former Australian cricketer penned an emotional note for India on his blog. Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group shared extracts from his blog on his Twitter handle and wrote, "Extracts from a heartfelt blog on India by @HaydosTweets A cricketer whose heart is even bigger than his towering physical stature. Thank you for the empathy and your affection..."

— anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) May 14, 2021
Matthew Hayden has been a frequent visitor to India and enjoys a healthy fan following in the country not only because of his explosive batting on the field but also because of his polite nature off the field. And people were quick to show their admiration for the star, thanking him for his kind words.
Today for eternity, it’s indelibly confirmed beyond doubt, that Cricket indeed is a Gentleman’s game! Thank you @HaydosTweets for opening in the 1.4 BN Team India vs Corona Test
— Sunil Buch (@sunil_buch) May 14, 2021@HaydosTweets @anandmahindra Thank you Mr Hayden for your kind words, India need people like you, like cricket needed you in your playing days and even today for your professional services. You truly brought out the whole picture India is currently undergoing.
— East India Travel Co (@sanjaythk) May 14, 2021Such compassionate words...sadly this compassion is always missing from within India...people, parties, and the biggest of all...the media vultures who are hell bent on questioning..not providing any solution..
— Tushar Singh (@Tushapj) May 14, 2021Hey Haydos, thanks for such a heartfelt note and depicting deep understanding of the problem which is our whooping population and management of same. Hope some of our Indian press stalwarts understand this before bashing own country left right and centre
— Paap-o-meter (@abhishek_tiku) May 14, 2021It's very emotional. Thank you Hayden. Really we are going through tremendous pain of losing near and dear and seeing many suffering.
— Sudha Meerasampalli (@sudhahshekar) May 15, 2021 Hayden's relationship with India strengthened during the former cricketer's IPL stint with MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings, which is why he refers to Tamil Nadu as his second home in the letter. Besides Matthew Hayden, Australian cricketers Pat Cummins, Steve Smith among others have helped raise funds for India as the country continues to struggle with the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you’re amongst the many people who refuse to accept WhatsApp’s new privacy policy terms, then it’s probably a good idea to start switching to other apps. Today was the deadline for users to accept the new terms of service. WhatsApp will not immediately start reducing features on your account from today but it will gradually start removing them.

“No accounts will be deleted on 15 May because of this update and no one in India will lose functionality of WhatsApp either. We will follow up with reminders to people over the next several weeks,” a WhatsApp spokesperson said.
However, this does not mean WhatsApp has given up on the new privacy policy as the app will start sending you “persistent reminders” within the app. If you still don’t agree to the terms, after a few weeks the app will start limiting functionality. By limited functionality, WhatsApp means users won’t be able to access their chat list, however will still be able to make and receive calls.
Then, the app will make it worse for users who don’t agree to the new terms. WhatsApp warned that users “won’t be able to receive incoming calls or notifications, and WhatsApp will stop sending messages and calls to your phone.”

Since WhatsApp and Facebook will be persistent about their new terms of service and force users to accept them, you really don’t have to give in to it. Thankfully, you can easily switch your entire chat history from WhatsApp to Telegram by following our guide. This way you will not lose your entire chat history with friends, family and colleagues. In case you want to know why Telegram is a better alternative, you can read our arguments here.

WhatsApp and Facebook’s new privacy policy will see the app share data between each other and also to and from business accounts. In addition, the companies will also collect information such as a user’s phone number, contacts, location, device details and IP address.
If you want to know more secure alternatives to WhatsApp, you can check out other instant messaging services and their features here.
