People who are lucky enough to not have been touched by the COVID-19 virus, and have only seen this pandemic through numbers will find it difficult to gauge the impact that this virus has had on us.

As harrowing the numbers and the incidents that we hear on the news are, they still are somewhat sanitised.Β

In spite of the numbers that we see every day, the real human, and the mental cost of the things happening around us does not become clear to us. For that, you will have to look at the accounts of the people on the frontlinesΒ of this war against COVID.

Dr Dipshikha Ghosh is one such warrior.

She recently took to Twitter, to share an incident from one of her recent shifts, that can only be described as gut-wrenching.
Today, towards the end of my shift, I video called the relatives of a patient who is not going to make it. We usually do that in my hospital if it’s something they want. This patient’s son asked for a few minutes of my time. He then sang a song for his dying mother.
    β€” Doctor (@DipshikhaGhosh May 12, 2021
Dr Ghosh wrote that at the end of her recent shift, she video called the relatives of a patient who wasn’t going to survive, not for long, at least.Β Β
The patient was an elderly lady, and her son asked for a few minutes, during which he sang to his dying mother.Β
The song he chose was Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Nata Koi, from Aa Gale Lag Jaa, starring Shammi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, & Sharmila Tagore.Β Β
To put things in context, one of the renditions of the song was picturised on a child, singing this to his long-lost mother. Just pay close attention to the juxtaposition of this song with this situation.

    Dr Ghosh continued, saying...Β
He sang Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Nata Koi. I just stood there holding the phone, looking at him looking at his mother and singing. The nurses came over and stood in silence. He broke down in the middle but finished the verse. He asked her vitals, thanked me and hung up.
    β€” Doctor (@DipshikhaGhosh May 12, 2021
She says that she, along with a few other nurses, just gathered around, and just watched in silence. The son broke down once, but managed to finish, after which, he asked Dr Ghosh for his mothers vitals, thanked her, and hung up.Β

    She continued -Β Β
Me and the nurses stood there. We shakes our heads, our eyes moist. The nurses went back one by one to their allocated patients and attended to them or the alarms of vents/dialysis units. This song is changed for us, for me at least. This song will always be theirs.
β€” Doctor (@DipshikhaGhosh May 12, 2021 As harrowing a sight as this was, it was back to business, as usual for the nurses, and the doctors, who had to start attending to the other patients around them.Β
While we often think of the families that have lost their loved ones, people who have lost their lives, rarely do we think about the mental well-being of the people who are spending every living moment of theirs, living this experience.Β

Imagine trying to make the last seconds of someone’s life a little easier, a little bit more comfortable, only to fail because of lack of basic amenities. Imagine having to go through all this, day in and day out, in a system that has completely broken down.

If you’re someone who is trying to get their loved ones admitted to a hospital, and are facing issues with doctors and nurses, please understand, that it is not that they don’t care - on the contrary, they do care, a lot. It is just that, they are exhausted, physically, and more importantly, mentally. They are overwhelmed and have emotionally shut themselves off.Β

It shouldn’t come as a surprise then when we see reports that doctors and healthcare workers are showing signs of PTSD and have turned to counselling in the middle of all this, that some of them are wracked with survivor’s guilt, like many family members who have lost someone.

People took to Twitter to share some of their experiences, their own stories of incomplete farewells.
thank you for giving them the closure ....
β€” Harini Calamur (#StayHome (@calamur May 12, 2021thank you for giving them the closure ....
β€” Harini Calamur (#StayHome (@calamur May 12, 2021Worst thing about Covid is that we can't even 'Goodbye' our loved ones for last time☹️☹️
β€” Memestics (@memestics__ May 12, 2021For any doctor or medical professional reading this, including Dr Ghosh, we salute you for service, and will forever be grateful to you, for fighting this war for us.

Do you feel lethargic most of the time? Has your motivation to take up new things decreased? And do you find it difficult to gain muscles?Β
Well, don’t ignore these signs, there are high chances that you have low testosterone levels.Β
While erectile dysfunction and low *** drive are more commonly acceptable signs of low testosterone, there are many subtle signs and physical discomforts as well that you may experience due to low T levels.Β
Testosterone, a hormone that’s mainly produced in men by the testicles affects a man’s appearance and sexual development. It stimulates sperm production, a man’s libido and helps build muscle and bone mass.
But, when testosterone production drops, a range of symptoms can occur that may not always be pertinent to your genitals and sexual performance.
Here are signs that will tell you have low T and simple ways to address them.
Emotional SignsLow EnergyResearch has shown that men with low testosterone have reported extreme fatigue, night sweats and decrease in energy levels. If you feel tired all the time despite taking enough sleep and find it difficult to get yourself to doing physical activities, you may be having a decline in testosterone.
Keeping yourself hydrated, having a fiber and protein rich diet may help maintain a decent energy level. Taking immunity boosting supplements should also make up for the dip in energy levels.

Mood SwingsΒ Testosterone influences many significant developments in a man’s body, it can also influence mood and emotions.Β
Research suggests that men with low T levels are more likely to experience radical mood swings, face depression, irritability and lack of motivation.Β
Meditation and yoga is a good way to keep yourselves focussed and motivated. A cup of herbal tea should be equally good enough to alleviate stress.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1523__
Physical SignsMuscle LossΒ Along with finding it hard to get themselves to exercise, men with low testosterone levels might also notice a gradual decrease in muscle mass.
Ayurvedic supplements crafted to fuel muscle gain is a safe way to achieve muscle recovery naturally.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1524__
Fat GainStudies have also shown that men with low T may also experience an increase in body fat. An imbalance between testosterone and estrogen in men may develop gynecomastia, an enlargement or swelling of breast tissue in males.Β
While it's advisable to see a doctor if you notice any unnatural enlargement in chest size, testosterone booster capsules coupled with a nutritious diet and secure workout regime may help you keep your body weight in check.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1525__
Hair LossΒ The testosterone production plays different roles in body functions, including hair growth on the body and face.Β
Getting bald is a natural part of aging, but men with low testosterone levels start experiencing loss of body hair and minimal growth of facial hair even in their late 20s and early 30s.
Oiling your hair often with coconut or olive oil and regularly washing your hair with a chemical-free shampoo will help improve the quality of hair. Onion oil has proved to be equally effective to facilitate new hair growth.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1205__
Exfoliating the face regularly and using beard oil may also help promote beard growth.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1526__
Sexual SignsLow *** DriveIt’s natural for men to experinece low *** drive as they age since testosterone production starts decreasing after 40. However, someone young with low T levels may experience a sudden drop in their desire to have *** or be aroused.
Young men with low testosterone may also notice a sharp decline in the volume of their semen during ejaculation.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1527__
Erectile DysfunctionMost of us associate testosterone as a hormone that stimulates a man’s *** drive and aids in achieving an erection. Well, that’s right!
When T levels in a man are too low, he may have difficulty achieving a proper erection prior to ***, or while masturbating. A man with low testosterone may often also have a flaccid ***** in the morning.
While natural sexual wellness supplements are great to boost stamina and sexual performance, it is always safe to visit a doctor if the problem is more regular in nature.Β
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1436__
Final ThoughtsAs men age, the production of testosterone in their body naturally decreases. So, it’s okay for men above 40 to experience some of these signs.Β
But, if you are in your 20s and 30s and resonate with these signs of low testosterone, you must go for a blood test called a serum testosterone test. This test is used to determine the level of circulating testosterone.Β
Low testosterone is diagnosed when levels fall below 300 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL). A normal range is typically 300 to 1,000 ng/dL, according to the Food and Drug Administration.Β

Men are becoming more and more aware of the concept of grooming and are understanding the importance of personal care as well, which means a simple haircut or a basic shave is not enough anymore.Β
Even though the salons are shut at the moment due to the pandemic, there are several grooming treatments that men can try at home or in salons, when they open again.
Here are some amazing grooming treatments that every man should try. Trust us, you wouldn't want to give up on these:
    1. Spa Facials Β© iStock
Men have mostly kept things pretty simple, especially when it comes to skincare. Skin being the biggest organ, it needs to be taken care of.Β

The best way to do so is to go for professional spas, at least once a month. Spa facials are a treat to the skin and are super relaxing. The treatment also relaxes the pores and helps you get rid of blackheads, dry skin and ingrown hair.
The products used are based on one's skin type. If you are keen on doing that, there are several homemade face masks that you can try out.
    2. Manicure And Pedicure Β© iStock
Manicures and pedicures are popular but some men are still hesitant to try out this grooming treatment. The treatment is ranked as the topmost one in the men's grooming arena.Β

It really helps your nails buff away the dry skin. Getting this treatment is not just meant for women but for men as well, as they can also seek professional help and go the extra mile to take care of their skin.Β
It even helps unwind from all the stress and strains of everyday life.
    3. Teeth Whitening & Cleaning Β© iStock
It is important to remove the stubborn, yellow stains from your teeth from time to time. Fortunately, you can do this from the comfort of your home as well.Β

There are also several inexpensive treatments related to whitening and cleaning, which your dentist can help you with. Besides home remedies, there are whitening pens, strips etc that are available.
    4. Hair Treatments Β© iStock
Getting yourself a head massage is something you shouldn't miss out on. But, another treatment that works well, especially for men who are facing issues like hair thinning etc is collagen treatment.Β

It's a hair treatment that gives the hair enough protein. Some hair loss treatments are worth a shot.
Apart from that, it's also important to go for scalp treatments. Scalp detox is as vital as other treatments. It helps get rid of issues like itchy scalp and also keeps it nourished and clean.
    5. Eyebrows Β© iStock
When your eyebrows are not groomed well, the look isn't very pleasing, it rather makes you look unkempt and untidy.Β

To avoid looking like that, go for eyebrow shaping from time to time. It is vital that you clean your eyebrows either by using tweezers or seeking professional help. Also, don't forget to trim your unibrow.

Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted BhaiΒ has become the first Indian film to simultaneously release on multiple platforms. Radhe has hit theatres today and it will also see the light of the day on ZEE5’s pay-per-view platform, ZEEPlex.Β
View this post on Instagramβ€œIt’s imperative that we all come together and think of out-of-the-box solutions for cinema as an industry during the current pandemic situation. We will support the theatre owners by releasing the film in as many theatres as we can, keeping in line with the rules and protocols laid down by the government. But, considering the guidelines and safety measures, we also need to devise ways to ensure that the film reaches all of our audience. We don't want to deny the audience the choice of entertainment in the comfort of their homes during these times," Salman Khan's spokesperson said in an earlier statement.Β Β
With the film releasing today, many people thronged to watch the movie on Zee5 and the website crashed completely because of so many people trying to access it.

However, people who got the chance to watch the movie have been sharing their opinions about it on social media. While some are calling it mass entertainment, some are finding it a complete waste of time.Β

In an earlier interview with Firstpost, when Salman was asked what the viewers can expect from the movie, he had said, β€œYou can definitely expect something different from Tiger, Dabangg, Bodyguard and Wanted. We will not repeat ourselves. It is new and I need you to see the film and tell me what is new. I am the same old Salman β€” which you have been seeing since Maine Pyar Kiya. The people who have watched Maine Pyar Kiya loved me, and they kept on loving me. From that one fan became a family and then another unit. I’m lucky and grateful that fans have been very loyal. So, from grandparents to parents to grandchildren, I have the following.”

Talking about the plot, Salman added, β€œThe plot is that my character Radhe makes a commitment to this child whose friend dies, and then Radhe goes all out to clean the city. We have three villains β€” Sang Hae (from Bhutan), Gautam Gulati, and Randeep Hooda. These actors have made Radhe look much stronger and bigger. With all that, we have Jacqueline; there is comedy, romance, and the first time I have ever kissed a duct tape in a movie. That duct tape was on Disha’s lips. When people ask me: β€˜You have never kissed on-screen?’ So yes, this time I kissed on screen but not on the heroine’s lips, it was duct tape that I kissed. Like in Maine Pyar Kiya, I kissed Bhagyashree's lipstick mark from the other side of the window.”
    Here’s the trailer:
