With rising cases of COVID in India, many people are either looking for oxygen cylinders or hospital beds. Amidst all the negativity around, there's also a barrage of fake stories floating on social media. Yesterday, there were rumours that Shaktimaan actor Mukesh Khanna had succumbed to COVID-19.
He took to Facebook on Tuesday evening to quash rumours that suggested he was no more. The actor posted a video on Facebook saying he was “perfectly alright.” Khanna also slammed those who spread false rumours about him, adding that “this is the problem with social media.”
The actor captioned the video, “With your blessings, I am completely healthy and safe. I don’t have COVID-19 and I was not admitted to any hospital. I don’t know who created this rumour and I don’t know what is the intention of those who spread such rumours. They tamper with people’s emotions with such false news.”
He went on to add, “What should be the treatment for such mentally unstable people? Who will punish their misdeeds? Enough is enough. Now it is too much. There should be a ban on such fake news.”
    Here’s the Facebook video:

People were relieved after he quashed all the rumours and some even said that he should be taking legal action against the ones who were spreading such rumours.

The last couple of months have been mentally challenging and exhausting for all of us.
We all have lost someone we know, fought hard against the virus, and lived through a raging pandemic for almost over a year now.
With everyday new challenges and tragedies, our mental health has taken a staggering backseat. The negative news/personal loss is impacting us in more ways than we can imagine. From feeling low to helpless and anxious, this pandemic is bringing out the worst bouts of depressing thoughts.
We live in a world that needs healing. But to heal the world, we all need to start with ourselves first. It’s time we take that first step towards healing.
