As the world gets pushed into yet another wave of the coronavirus pandemic with mutated and even more dangerous versions of the disease making their way into cities, streets and, homes in most countries, former England cricketer, Kevin Pietersen’s controversial tweet has caused a massive stir on social media.
The 40-year old athlete is a well-respected member of the international cricket community and enjoys a massive fan following on various social media platforms.
However, it did not take long for his followers to questioning his rationale when he spoke about how he “cannot stand seeing young children with masks on.”
I cannot stand seeing young children with masks on. I just cannot stand it! Does my head in!
    They should be free!
    — Kevin Pietersen🦏 (@KP24) April 4, 2021
“I cannot stand seeing young children with masks on. I just cannot stand it! Does my head in! They should be free!” wrote the Pietermaritzburg-born on the micro-blogging site.
Supporters of wearing masks to curb the spread of the virus from all over the world raised an issue with what the ambidextrous batsman had said:
    If you cannot stand...sit down.
Masks are needed for their own safety. Many other things should be better and free in this world - maybe you raise your voice for that too.
    — Agantuk (@Agantuk_Visitor) April 4, 2021Rather see them dead then?
    — Naman (@97_naman) April 4, 2021Dumbest thing I’ve seen this week. Even though it doesn’t affect them, they can easily pass it on to someone vulnerable
    — Sam (@MyBigMouth97) April 4, 2021KP, it’s called COVID. We’d all like to be “free” but that’s not possible right now. No one wants to wear a mask but we have to! It’s for our own protection/safety. And people thinking it’s okay not to wear a mask despite getting vaccinated is quite idiotic.
    — Raghav Bajaj (@mapleboy69) April 4, 2021So you want them to be silent spreaders? Expect better from you, KP
    — Aanand Vasu (@aanandvasu) April 4, 2021Pietersen’s tweet feels a bit out of place especially considering that the cricketer has been a supporter of taking every possible measure to limit the outbreak.
He has also been a believer of vaccinations as being the best way out of the global health crisis.
In February 2021, Pietersen had also thanked India for sending vaccinations to South Africa in order to combat a new variant of the virus in the country.
Indian generosity and kindness grows more and more every single day.
    The beloved country! 🏽
    — Kevin Pietersen🦏 (@KP24) February 2, 2021
“Indian generosity and kindness grows more and more every single day. The beloved country!” he had tweeted.
So, considering Pietersen had simply gotten emotional after seeing young kids suffer and struggle wearing masks and simply wanted to vent out his frustration with the whole scenario, the way he’s worded his thoughts may misguide his followers.
As an international celebrity, it becomes Kevin Pietersen’s responsibility, rather a duty to be careful of what he expresses on a public platform, especially the social media that has become one of the biggest sources of misinformation that vulnerable minds are ready to believe, specifically, if it is coming from someone they love and adore.

Rishabh Pant’s rumoured girlfriend Isha Negi, who is reportedly an interior decor designer, also enjoys a massive fan following on social media.
On Saturday, the 22-year old got into an interactive session with her followers on the platform and replied to various questions.
One question, however, that caught the attention of the fans of the Indian cricket team was about her favourite player in the world.
And while many had expected Negi to take Rishabh Pant’s name, she picked the former Team India captain and now-retired Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

The social media trolls and the “fans” of the southpaw batsman were ready with the reactions and memes best suited for the moment:

    — Aradhya // pujji stan (@tweetsofaradhya) April 3, 2021Interestingly, in the past, even Pant has talked about his fondness for Dhoni.
“He [MS Dhoni] has been like a mentor to me, on and off the field. I can approach him freely with any problem I may be facing, and he will never give me the entire solution for it,” Pant had said in an Instagram Live session ahead of the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League.

    — Sleeper Cellz ™️‍♀️ (@Nithish_Twitz) December 15, 2019
“This is so that I don’t become entirely dependent on him, he gives me hints only that helps me solve the issue myself. He’s also one of my favourite batting partners, though it’s not something that happens too often. If Mahi [Dhoni] bhai is at the crease, you know things are sorted. He’s got a plan in his head, and all you need to do is follow it,” he’d added.
The 23-year old was recently crowned as the captain of the Delhi Capitals franchise ahead of the 14th edition of the IPL after Shreyas Iyer, the original captain of the squad suffered a severe shoulder injury while fielding in the first ODI against England at Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium and was ruled out for the entire 2021 season of the tournament.

Coincidentally, Pant will be going head-to-head with his and his rumoured girlfriend’s favourite player in the second match of IPL 2021 when Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will look to get a winning start to the season against Pant’s Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 10 (Saturday).

The Saturday show of Indian Idol season 12 had the evergreen Bollywood actress Rekha on the show as a special guest and once again ended up winning the hearts of the audience with her charisma and wit.
My favourite and sabki favourite rekha ji on Indian idol
    Wow this episode #RekhaOnIndianIdol
    — बिगड़ैल नारी 🦋 (@BigdailEpicNari) April 3, 2021
The show was more of a dedicated tribute to her illustrious career spanning over 63 incredible years, both as a child actor and the eventual leading lady in over 180 Indian films and the contestants sang some of the most iconic songs from her films.
However, the moment that became the highlight of the show came in the middle of two singing performances when the host Jay Bhanushali asked the judges and Rekha whether they’d seen a woman fall madly in love with a man who is married.
    — sonytv (@SonyTV) April 3, 2021
“Rekhaji, Nehu, kabhi aapne dekha hai ki koi aurat itna pagal horahi hai kisi aadmi k liye, woh bhi shaadi shuda aadmi k liye?” asked Bhanushali with the hopes of continuing the segment as a transition towards the next performance.
But the host was thrown off by a comment made by the legendary actress, which was clearly not scripted and left everyone present at the venue speechless for a second.
"Muhse puchiye na (Ask me)," Rekha responded candidly.
Stumped by Rekha’s words, the only thing that came out of Bhanushali’s mouth was a surprised “Huh?”, to which Rekha countered with “Maine kuch nahi kaha (I didn’t say anything)” as she quickly looked away.
Rekha never fails to dazzle us with her dancing as she takes the stage on Indian Idol!

    Catch her in the #MallikaEIshqRekha episode of #IndianIdol this weekend at 8pm only on #SonyTVUK #VishalDadlani #AdityaNarayan #NehaKakkar #HimeshReshammiya pic.twitter.com/mWQ6aWRgfo
    — Sony TV UK (@sonytvuk) April 2, 2021 It took a moment for the rest of the judges to register what she was talking about but when they did understand, Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar couldn’t stop themselves from wooing and applauding the gutsy actor.
“Yeh laga sixer,” Bhanushali said to end the moment on a high as Rekha flinched hilariously for a flash of a second.
A special Indian Idol 12 episode featuring Rekha premieres this weekend. Ahead of the episode, the channel has released a promo showcasing Rekha having a ball on the sets#RekhaOnIndianIdol pic.twitter.com/VCJMO3rnLO

The veteran actor also brought along a saree to gift to Kakkar who had tied the knot in October last year as “shaadi ka shagun” or an auspicious memento to wish her a happy married life.
She not only presented the saree to the singer but also helped her drape it on.

We’re probably not ready to accept this, but there will be a point in the future where Artificial Intelligence (AI) will take over the human race when it comes to various jobs. In fact, some analysts estimate that over 50% of jobs in the world will be lost to AI in the coming decades.
Jobs like accounting, human resources, management and even writers like me will be obsolete thanks to Artificial intelligence sometime in the future.
However, we don’t have to wait till 2030 to find out how AI will overtake mankind as it's already beating humans in the most strategic and complicated games like ‘Chess' and ‘Go’ that have been used as a standard to determine intelligence or IQ levels.
However, AI has now started to get the better of humans by beating them in their own game. Here are four examples where AI or computers were able to beat some of the smartest minds on the planet.
    1. Chess: IBM’s Deep Blue vs Garry Kasparov © Reuters
Garry Kasparov was considered as the greatest chess player of all time in 1996 when he competed against IBM’s Deep Blue. Even though Kasparov beat the computer with a score of 4-2; what’s exceptional is that the computer managed to beat him twice. After winning the series, Kasparov said “I could feel — I could smell — a new kind of intelligence across the table.” Next year, a newer version of AI called ‘Deeper Blue’ beat Kasparov by forcing him to resign in Game 6.

    2. Go: DeepMind’S AlphaGO VS. World’s Top Five Players  © Deepmind
The ancient Chinese game of ‘Go’ is far more sophisticated and complex than chess which makes its players some of the smartest people in the world. When DeepMind’s AlphaGo managed to beat Lee Sedol in four games out of five, it devastated the entire country of South Korea and the Go community as a whole. AlphaGo showed the world that AI is better at the game than humans by also beating the next top four players in the world.

    3. Backgammon: BKG 9.8 vs Luigi Villa  © Wikipedia Commons
The first time ever a computer beat a human world champion was in 1979. The BKG 9.8 program created by Hans J. Berliner managed to beat the world champion at the time, Tim Luigi Villa, by a huge margin. The final score was 7-1.

    4. Poker: Libratus vs Four Top Players  © Carnegie Mellon University
In 2017, an AI called the ‘Libratus’ managed to beat four professional poker players at the same time in a no-limit Texas Hold ‘Em poker game. Poker is a highly psychological game that requires players to read their opponent. Clearly, an AI cannot tell whether a person is bluffing or not, however the AI built by two Carnegie Mellon computer scientists was still able to beat everyone.

From being the boy next door in Stree to playing Subash Chandra Bose, Rajkummar Rao has never failed to impress his audience with his versatility. He has evolved by leaps and bounds in terms of his career. He never leaves any stone unturned when it comes to portraying his characters realistically on the big screen. It’s his hard work that has made him achieve the dreams he saw before shifting to Mumbai.
In an interview with Asian Paints, the actor recalled that he stayed in a joint family in Gurgaon consisting of 16 members. He said, “I grew up in Gurgaon, in a joint family. There were some 16 people living together. When I moved to Mumbai, I shared my house with two of my friends. We used to sleep on the floor.” He also talked about moving to another house where he got his first movie and his first National Award.
He has finally given all his fans a tour of his house in Mumbai, which is his fourth house in the city. It speaks volumes of his character and the house boasts of classy and royal textures.
Here are the pictures of his house:

In his living room, he has experimented with colours. While the white sofa gives a soothing effect, he has gone all bold with the colour of the wall that is dark blue which is also symbolic of the versatility he brings to the table with his performances. “You should not be scared of experimenting with your décor. That is what I do in my work as well. As an actor, I take a lot of risks, experiment with my characters, which is what we have done with the house as well,” the 36-year-old said.

Personal Space © Asian Paints YouTube
When it comes to his personal space, he has kept it very minimalistic giving it white, grey and ivory colour tone all around. It’s this space where he likes to spend his time reading books, scripts and sometimes just to be with himself. He has the painting of Charlie Chaplin on his wall adding value to the whole idea of cinematic influence in his house.

This is one interesting space. The living room has a pop of blue colour in it whereas the drawing-room is more traditional. It has a dark brown leather sofa with a marble centre table. He has kept it quite minimalistic.

If you have stayed in Mumbai apartments, you would know how lucky you are if you have a balcony to yourself. Here you'll spot a huge Buddha statue that Rajkummar bought from the streets of Koh Samui since he felt it was calling him. He said that it was hard to get it here from Koh Samui but the actor feels positive around the Buddha.

Walls And Doors With Quotes © Asian Paints YouTube
In the house, you would also come across walls and doors with quotes written over them. One of the doors has “Never forget where you started” written over it. Explaining that, Rajkummar said, “I believe in this. I didn’t want to become an actor to chase fame but because I fell in love with this art. Being an actor and playing so many characters in one lifetime keeps me rooted and uncorrupted. There is nothing else I can do in this life other than being an actor.” There is another wall with “You are exactly where you need to be” written over it. Explaining that, he said, “I truly believe your hard work takes you places. The work I have done in 15 years has brought me here. Now, whatever I do, will take me ahead.”

The captain of the Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma is currently in Bengaluru with the rest of his teammates while preparing for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, as the first match of the season features his clash with Team India captain and the leader of the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise Virat Kohli, on April 9, at the Chidambaram stadium.
However, a week before the tournament begins, the official Twitter handle for Sharma’s squad shared a few images in which the batsman can be seen trying his hand at volleyball while beating the Bengaluru heat in a pair of shorts.
Commentators: "Hitman sees the cricket ball like a volleyball!"

In a couple of those pictures, a big black mark on the cricketer’s left knee is visible which left many of his fans worried about him, his health and fitness.

    — Ashy (@ashybcci) April 3, 2021What’s the black color on the knee about?
    — Doge (@dogekya) April 3, 2021It is widely believed that the black mark on Sharma’s knee is nothing more than a birthmark that has made an appearance on numerous other images and videos of the Hitman, so, his fans can breathe and be rest assured that they have nothing to worry about.
Rohit Sharma remains the most successful cricketer in the history of the IPL with the maximum number of IPL titles - five.
He won the first championship in 2009 with Deccan Chargers and since then has tallied four more championships as the leader of the MI Paltan.

    — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) November 10, 2020
Despite struggling with a severe hamstring injury in the second half of IPL 2020, Sharma played a captain’s knock of 68 runs of 51 deliveries to give his team a big start to the innings in IPL 2020 final and lifted the cup in the United Arab Emirates last year.
Rohit Sharma will be returning to the league on April 9 to begin the journey with the Mumbai Indians in an attempt to with the IPL championship for a record three consecutive times to create history.
Based on the kind of roster Sharma has established around him and the form he is in, the dream seems far realistic than his opponents would have liked.
