  1. One of the biggest, unanswered question for years has been 'Whattis mobile number?' but looks like we finally have the answer, well actually, an answer. First, I'm just going to leave this here, just because - So, Ranveer Singh asked a simple question with a not so simple picture and it has even the police interested in it. "Whattis mobile number? Whattis your smile number? Whattis your style number? à¤à¤°à¥à¤ à¤à¥à¤¯à¤¾ dial number?" Whattis mobile number? Whattis your smile number? We all know how quirky Ranveer actually is, his tweets won't be boring, of course, but just wait, it gets funnier. People had some hilarious replies to his question, like this - pic.twitter.com/qOZQKnE7bP — Vishal (@Aadha_CA) November 6, 2019 And, this - ð pic.twitter.com/9neXm7zDjF — Naina (@nainakehndi) November 6, 2019 I don't even know what this is - Dial anyone get cashbackð Dear Ranveer,#BSNL_dega_5pe6 â¤ï¸enjoy longer conversations with your dear ones and earn rewards of upto Rs 50 p/m â¤ï¸6 Paise for every call made of more than 5 Minute duration.Offer valid from 1st Nov 2019 to 31st Dec#SWITCH_TO_BSNL @deepikapadukone pic.twitter.com/8rTBZRIy5d — Naman (@Naman_BKN) November 7, 2019 But, the one that takes the cake came from a police department. Every now and then we get some of the best tweets we've seen from official Twitter accounts of police departments from all over India. I think, there's been like an unspoken competition among the cities, but I'm pretty sure Nagpur Police just defeated them with these three digits. I'm not the only one who's impressed. 2. Ayushmann Khurrana has sure come a long way and has made a name for himself in the industry. Being an outsider, it's not easy to make a mark, but with his versatile choices and acting skills, Ayushmann has managed to attract a massive following of movie buffs, who just wait to see him in all his glory on the big screen. Now, he is all set to show his acting prowess in his upcoming film, 'Article 15'. The trailer has already piqued the interest of the viewers and they are waiting with bated breath to see Ayushmann nail his character, like all his other roles. The plot of 'Article 15' bears a resemblance to the 2014 Badaun gangrape and murder case, and it will surely be a mirror to the society and its brutal practices. While a majority of people were all praises for the trailer, some users on social media found it a bit 'offensive' and Ayushmann somewhere knows that it has affected a certain section of the society. Well, according to Ayushmann, there is nothing 'offensive' as such when you will see the film. At an event, when he was asked about the criticism, he said, “But after they watch the film, (they'll realize) there's nothing offensive or maybe we have offended everyone because we haven't targeted any community.” The movie is all set to hit the screens on June 28 and the trailer has given us an insight into what the film has to offer. The film also stars Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub. The film talks about Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination by the state against any citizen on the basis of religion, race, caste, ***, and place of birth. Talking about the idea behind the movie, the actor said, “Our country is a unique one because we have all kinds of people and we are very sensitive towards ourselves. We are proud of ourselves, of our communities. We are so depressed in our real lives that we need something to feel proud about. The appeal of this film is we should be proud of our country, but we can't be blindly proud of it. We need to better our nation.” We do agree with his thoughts. What about you?
  3. If you haven't seen the swan song of 'Game of Thrones', you probably shouldn't read ahead. With Stark children in all their 'rightful' places that in a way defines closure for them as characters, we now know that they're doing something they've had intentions of before but never got around doing because of circumstances. Like how Jon once said to Ygritte that he wanted to wander around sans responsibility. He's doing that, in the end, considering no one needs a Night's Watch anymore. And Arya is off for another adventure, something she once mentioned during her time in Braavos. © HBO Arya once asked, "Essos is East. Westeros is West, but what's West of Westeros?" A question no one in Westeros can answer because that's where all the maps end. No one really knows. With the White Walkers dead, and the Mad Queen murdered, there's really no action left in Westeros. They're going to try and rebuild the city and the damage a dragon and his mother had caused. But sedentary life was never made for Arya. She's already declined Gendry's proposal because that's not her. But here's the thing, after wrapping up a successful series like 'Game of Thrones', HBO is open to the idea of spin-offs, one of which is already in the making. But here's a spin-off we wouldn't mind watching: Arya the Adventurer and her explorations of a world beyond Westeros. Arya mentioned back in Season 6 to Lady Crane that no one knows what's West of Westeros. So she created her own Stark fleet with a Stark sigil atop. Fans have requested for the spin-off on her extended storyline and honestly, it makes sense. Unlike the show, the books do provide a little information about what's West of Westeros. Like Daenerys, Arya will have to cross the Sunset Sea. According to the 'Wiki of Ice and Fire', the Sunset Sea contains animals like swordfish, seals and whales but no one has ever successfully crossed this sea, according to Martin. Somewhat fittingly, the last person to try was another King Bran Stark — Brandon the Shipwright from the North. But he was never heard of again. But now we know Arya is made differently. She can survive this and that would make for a brilliant story that we'd love to hear.
  4. There was a lot of hype surrounding the new OnePlus 7 series phones and rightfully so. The company launched both the phones earlier this week with much fanfare. ASUS, on the other hand, just launched a new device called the ZenFone 6 without much fanfare. Anyway, here's everything you need to know about this phone. The new ASUS ZenFone 6, much like the OnePlus 7 Pro, sports a completely bezel-less screen. However, it doesn't have a pop-up selfie camera. Instead, the ZenFone 6 has a flip-top camera, which is just as crazy as it sounds. It's very similar to Samsung's Galaxy A80, but this one appears to have a little more complicated setup and we have our doubts about its durability. © YouTube The flip-top camera setup includes two lenses - there's a 48MP Sony IMX586 coupled with a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens. And since the setup can be rotated, you get these two super powerful cameras for the selfies too. As for the specs itself, ASUS has decided to go all in with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Both the front as well as the back are protected by Gorilla Glass 6, and the phone has a 5,000 mAh battery inside. Above all, ASUS has decided to go with a near-stock version of Android with this phone, which is just awesome, and it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Nice! © ASUS Pricing & Availability The ASUS ZenFone 6 will be available in Europe for a starting price of €499 for the base variant. The 6GB + 128GB version will retail for €559, whereas the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at €599. The prices, as you can see, certainly makes it look like a better deal than the OnePlus 7 Pro or any flagship phone out there on the market right now, but we'll have to see how it performs and how much it'll cost in India.
  5. A question that can have hundreds of answers but we still can't be sure if any of them are correct. It's so cruel that no one can for sure know what actually happens unless you die for real and the curiosity is honestly just too hard to deal with. But, we have one concrete answer for the question, all thanks to the purest and most wholesome person ever - Keanu Reeves. Recently, he appeared on 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' and talked about his upcoming movie, 'Bill & Ted Face The Music'. Basically, the movie has the duo trying to write a song to save the entire universe and if they fail, “it's the end of the universe”. To this, Stephen said, “You're facing your own mortality and the mortality of all existence, wow.” Then, that was followed by a casual yet loaded question - “What do you think happens when we die, Keanu Reeves?” Instead of any funny or random answer, Keanu thought hard about it and gave the truest and most profound answer to the question that I've ever seen. He said, “I know that the ones who love us will miss us.” So simple, yet so brilliant, Keanu literally left Stephen Colbert speechless, which is quite a rare thing for a talk-show host. Keanu Reeves gives the right answer to an impossible question. pic.twitter.com/hQAgaaGSEY — laney (@misslaneym) May 11, 2019 It gets even more meaningful when you know how much tragedy he's faced in his life. He lost his best friend when he was very young, then his baby daughter was stillborn and because of that, he also ended up losing the woman he loved. It's not just Stephen who is at a loss of words after this, the video has seen a lot of great reactions ever since it was uploaded. The best, and my personal favourite. HE'S SO WORTHY! Keanu Reeves could easily pick up Mjolnir. — LA (@lancelotaustin) May 12, 2019 True. Ironic because Keanu Reeves is immortal pic.twitter.com/FuFo67GnHO — Jidder Bug (@YatesDotcom) May 12, 2019 Simple. Keanu. https://t.co/k8A4IeUnuD — Kumail Nanjiani (@kumailn) May 12, 2019 So beautiful. Stephen Colbert lost his father and 2 of his brothers in a plane crash when he was 10 years old. In this moment, I really felt like he was thinking of them. — Dana Melton (@DeadChuffed) May 12, 2019 Truly. Wow, that's absolutely perfect - Stephen being absolutely speechless was about the only possible response in that situation. I mean, what on earth do you say to that? Beautiful words from an amazing human being. — Matticious (@Matticious1) May 12, 2019 Yep. Three great things I know about Keanu Reeves - he fought for my friend - the great Carrie-Anne Moss who was unknown at the time - to be his co-star in the Matrix. He divies up his 'extra earnings' on films w/the crew. He's nice as hell. When the time comes - many will miss him. — BLOOP! (@susiemcdonnell) May 12, 2019 The most unselfish person. What do you think happens when we die? Atheist: We turn into specks of dust Theist: We go to Heaven or Hell Keanu Reeves: pic.twitter.com/jXCcLPxSxH — jimiecheng (@jimiecheng) May 13, 2019 Exactly. It's interesting to think how people almost always selfishly argue about what happens to us when we die. It's refreshing to see someone who's first thought is sympathy for those who are left behind. — Kilikikero (@kilikikero) May 11, 2019 Agreed. Keanu reeves is the one and only person who would not be corrupted by omnipotence — scared ass cat (15 days till ð) (@Smuttysquid) May 12, 2019
  6. White Walkers are absolutely terrifying creatures on 'Game Of Thrones'. Their extent of powers is not known yet and they're capable of waking the dead to fight for them. However, each time they successfully achieve a conquest on the show, they leave behind a visible dent in the shape of the storm. So far, there has been more than one instance of this mark being left. In the first episode of season 8, Tormund, Beric, and Edd saw it firsthand, and there exists a tonne of Reddit theories about the Night King's symbol on Game of Thrones. This particular mark was made by nailing Lord Umber (now a wight) to a wall of House Umber with limbs of the other slain Northerners around him to make a spiral symbol. The dead have been used multiple times to make this spiral. So what does the spiral exactly mean? Why align the dead in this particular way? It is interesting to note at this point that it's also present in the cave drawings at the Dragonstone. This is an important marker of identity for the Whites. Some of the suggestions analysing what it could mean include: 1. Kill All The Men © HBO The Children of the Forest created the White Walkers to kill the First Men. Remus88Romulus's theory suggests that the symbol is a kind of rune or spell that the White Walkers follow that instructs them to kill people. So once the army of the dead has followed their orders, they create the symbol again to show they've accomplished their mission. 2. A Ritualistic Symbol From The Children Of The Forest © HBO Helmer1134, another Redditor, suggests that the Night King could be extorting power from the roots by using a symbol used in the rituals by the Children of the Forest. This very symbol was present when the Children of the Forest were creating the Night King by shoving a dragonglass in his heart. 3. A Possible Sign That The Night King Wants To Be Human Again © HBO The Night King's life was taken away from him by the Children of the Forest, maybe he's still not over how unfair it all was. That's what Moeez_Malik considers with the theory that the Night King is using the symbol to mark his way home where he might be able to become a man again. 4. The Night King's Sigil © HBO All the houses within the Seven Kingdoms have sigils that represent their identity and honour. His name is "King" after all, the Night King might've created this sigil long ago to represent his presence as Crowd_Chatter guessed. Although this theory from Mtolivepickle suggests that the Night King's sigil is a raven's skull with an eye in the center is equally plausible. 5. The Night King Was A Targaryen © HBO The sigil for House Targaryen is a three-headed dragon and for some reason, it looks strikingly similar to the White Walker symbol. Also, because resurrecting a dragon came naturally to him and the dragon happens to like him too. A couple of Redditors think that this could only mean that the Night King is a Targaryen. 6. King's Landing & Where The Mad King Stored Wildfire © HBO UCJAgent discusses how the symbol could signal where the "caches of wildfire" are in King's Landing. Jaime told Brienne back in Season 3 (and Cersei utilized in Season 6), the Mad King Aerys II Targaryen had stored wildfire "all over the city — beneath the Sept of Baelor and the slums of Flea Bottom. Under houses, stables, taverns. Even beneath the Red Keep itself." UCJAgent theorized that the Mad King purposefully placed the wildfire in a way to match the Targaryen sigil — and that this wildfire will be what eventually destroys the Night King. He carries the hints of his destruction with him and yet no one has figured that out. 7. The White Walkers' Blood Magic © HBO Blood magic and fantasy are intertwined. And just like Mirri Maz Duur, Melisandre, and Maggy the Frog, maybe the White Walkers have their own type of blood magic or Wight magic. As Aixelsydguy theorized, the symbol could be part of a White Walker ritual that allows the White Walkers to revive corpses and use them to their favour. 8. It's The White Walkers' Final Destination © HBO The spiral could possibly also represent the weirwood trees. Reddit user bro8619 in nuanced theory noted how the symbols are actually representing the Isle of Faces in the Gods Eye Lake. Lame_of_Thrones thinks that the Night King and his army are headed to the Isle of Faces, which is an important location for the Children of the Forest and the First Men and is supposedly filled with weirwoods. Maybe that's their ultimate destination. Which theory do you think is more plausible?
  7. Besides getting a driver's license and moving out of the house for further studies, shaving for the first time is a seminal moment in every man's life. We've all looked on with a tinge of envy and admiration as our fathers (or big brothers) lathered up and emerged with a clean shaven face with just a few measured strokes of a razor. That's why we can't help but feel a little excited when we're finally standing in front of the bathroom mirror, shaving cream and razor in hand, ready to get to work on that stubble for the first time. However, unlike most other rites of passage that signal a boy's transformation into a man, there's no set of rules or guidelines available to us when it comes to that first shave. All we have to go on is what we've seen on TV and the memory of our aforementioned family members in action. And since shaving comes with a real risk of nicks and cuts all over your face and neck (not to mention a whole host of other skin-related complaints,) wouldn't it be great if there was a guide that addressed all your shaving FAQs as you tackled them for the first time? Well, you're in luck - that's exactly what we've put together for you. Question 1: Which Products Do You Need For A Great Shave? © Shutterstock Enter the supermarket and you're confronted with aisles full of grooming products, all of which claim to be an indispensable part of your shaving routine. It can be a little bewildering for the first time shaver, but we're here to tell you that you shouldn't succumb to this pressure and fill your bathroom cabinets with all manner of shaving supplies. At the same time, there's more to shaving than just a shaving cream and a razor. The best shaving kit comprises just five essential elements - a pre-shave oil, lathering agent, brush, razor, and aftershave balm, which is all you need for a great shave. Question 2: How Should You Prepare Your Skin For Shaving? © Shutterstock One of the most common shaving mistakes that even the most experienced hands make is hacking away at your facial hair while it's still stiff and bristly. Even the best razor blade would struggle to deal with the resistance this creates, leaving you open to the risk of cuts and rashes. For most people, pre-shave preparation only comprises washing their face quickly, a grooming practice that leaves a lot to be desired. A splash of cold water doesn't relax your facial hair enough for you to start shaving, which is why washing your face with warm water is the way to go. The heat and moisture relaxes your hair follicles and softens your beard hair, making it much easier for the blade to slice through. Even a pre-shave face wash with a light exfoliator wouldn't go amiss, as it would get rid of dead skin and oil trapped in your pores. Question 3: How can you choose the right razor? © Wikimedia Commons Every specialised job requires the right tools, with shaving being no different. With a variety of options available in the market, it's important to zero in on the best razor to suit your needs in terms of grooming and budget. While disposable razors are the pocket-friendly option, they can't match up to their more technologically-advanced counterparts. Multi-blade cartridge razors bring speed and efficiency to the table, but having to buy replacement cartridges at regular intervals makes them pricier in the long run. Double edge safety razors offer the closest shave out of the bunch, and require minimal maintenance costs after a heavy initial investment. However, they also carry the highest risk of nicks and cuts, especially for the inexperienced user because of the extremely sharp blade. For those who don't feel ready to handle a sharp blade just yet, there's even the option of an electric razor that will do the job. Question 4: What is the right way to shave? © Shutterstock` Finally, the million dollar question - what is the ideal shaving technique? Following the direction of growth of your facial hair gets the best results, a technique which is commonly known as shaving with the grain. Just run your hands over your face - if it feels smooth, you're moving with the grain and that's the direction your blade needs to move in. If you shave against the grain, you're tugging the hair in an unnatural direction. Although this might even result in a closer shave, you're much more likely to harm your skin. You should only go down that route if you're not satisfied with the results of your first shave with the grain, but be extremely careful when you're doing so. Question 5: How often should you change blades? © Wikimedia Commons Another misconception when it comes to shaving is that you should change your razor blade every week. In fact, there's no set time period for you to change blades. The dullness of a razor blade depends on several factors, such as its quality, how often you shave, the products you're using, your pre-shave prep and your blade maintenance. For example, your blade will become dull much faster if you're not using the best shaving foam for the job, or if you don't clear out the hair that gets clogged up in the gaps between the blades. A usually reliable indicator that it's time to change blades is if you find yourself having to use extra effort to drag your razor through your hair, because a quality blade should be able to glide through smoothly. Question 6: How can you make sure your skin stays healthy? © Shutterstock Your shave isn't over as soon as you wash your face and towel off - you need to follow proper post-shave procedures. Even though the best shaving creams these days contain aloe vera and other soothing agents, your skin deserves more than that. Having rinsed off with warm water, a splash of cold water is needed to close your open pores and firm up your skin. After that, a quality post-shave balm is the final flourish that your shaving ritual needs to make sure that your skin remains healthy and hydrated.

  9. What were you doing when you were 16 years old? The majority of us were sitting in our rooms, doing 'important work' from 'research material' folder on our computers. But this 16-year-old proved that he is gifted with superhuman abilities and is somebody India can look up to in the coming years. Hailing from a small town in Uttar Pradesh, Saurabh Chaudhary proved his mettle at International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup, that took place in Delhi, when he created a world record of 245 points before eventually clinching the gold medal in 10m air pistol final. His stellar performance and incredible record helped clinch first Tokyo Olympics quota for India as well proving it to be the icing on the cake. © BCCL Where we are all in awe of Chaudhary's abilities and achievement, his national coach Samresh Jung saw it a long time coming. After his apprentice's incredible feat, Jung said, “He was shooting like he was always shooting at the senior level. Even with the crowd cheering and yelling, there were no slip-ups from him and he made a world record.” The thing that is a testament to the 16-years old potential is his incredible ability to concentrate. The prodigy's new coach Amit Sheoran claimed, ” Shooting 245 is not new for him. During training, he tries to hit more than 248 so that he doesn't feel that some score is big. It showed now that 245 is normal for him. Even in the qualifying, he tries to go beyond 590.” © BCCL Chaudhary's dominance can be showcased by the point difference between him and the Serbian silver medalist who bagged 239.3 points and second quota spot. “I knew I had a big lead but didn't bother about it. I just kept doing everything I do in practice. I don't think about a nine as well. Coaches train us for such situations and I keep doing that'' said Saurabh. The thing we're certain of is this potential mixed with hard work that Saurabh puts in will eventually lead India to glory on a stage where India has often underachieved. Next Abhinav Bindra? We think not. It's a new Saurabh Chaudhary. Remember the name.
  10. While talking about trains, one thing that often pops up in our minds is Narendra Modi's long fetched promise of Bullet Trains. And guess what, he actually has kept it. Well, not exactly a Bullet Train but a desi version of it. Well, that is Train 18 aka Vande Bharat Express. With its Bullet Train-inspired design and super cool features, the driverless train will be flagged off by PM Modi on February 15 and will cover the route between New Delhi and Agra replacing the veteran Shatabdi Express. As per the results from the trial runs as of now, Train 18 can clock up a speed of over 180 kmph making it the fastest ever train of the Indian Railways. Being a desi product (Yes! Make In India, guys) and built at a cost of Rs 100 crore, this train is making Rs 88,000 crore India loaned from Japan seems like a total rip-off. According to a report by The Hindu, here are some of the cool features that the Vande Bharat Express comes packed with that really give it a futuristic feel. 1. Aerodynamically designed driver cabins at both ends for quicker turn-around at destinations 2. Alternate coaches are motorised to ensure even distribution of power and faster acceleration or deceleration 3. Regenerative braking system to save power © BCCL 4. Inter-connected, fully sealed gangways 5. Automatic doors with retractable footsteps 6. Onboard Wi-Fi and infotainment © Twitter 7. GPS-based passenger information system 8. Modular toilets with bio-vacuum systems 9. Rotational seats which can be aligned in the direction of travel (executive class) © Twitter 10. Roller blinds and diffused LED lighting 11. Disabled-friendly toilets 12. Emergency talk-back units to contact train crew 13. CCTVs in all coaches for safe and secure travel in numbers The report also mentioned that the approximate cost to build the train is around Rs 100 crore, and if the train runs at 200 kmph as per the report, then it sounds like a fairly decent deal. The makers of the train - Integral Coach Factory, Chennai is believed to have around five Train 18s in the pipeline and the time taken to conceive, design and develop the train is said to be around 18 months. All in all, Vande Bharat Express being a driverless train packed with other mind-blowing features is going to be an exceptional experience and we can't wait to get aboard.
  11. A serious bug in Apple's FaceTime application lets users listen in on the people they're calling, even when they don't pick up the phone. It was previously reported on Twitter by user Benji Mobb and it's a severe violation of privacy. All you need to do is call someone via FaceTime and listen to their phone's microphone, without consent. Apple says it is aware of the issue and a fix will be released via a software update in the coming week. Multiple publications can confirm that the issue actually works. © AppleInsider The glitch is very easily triggered when you call someone using FaceTime. Before they pick up the call, add your own number to the call and once you're added, the application immediately assumes it to be a conference call and begins relaying the audio from the other phone. Irrespective of whether the end party has picked up the call or not, the audio gets transferred. For the end user, if you're receiving a call from FaceTime, there is a chance the caller can hear you via the microphone. If the recipient of the call presses the power button on the side of the iPhone to silence or ignore an incoming call, their phone will begin broadcasting video to the initial caller. Now you can answer for yourself on FaceTime even if they don't answerð¤#Apple explain this.. pic.twitter.com/gr8llRKZxJ — Benji Mobb™ (@BmManski) January 28, 2019 The only way to stop this from happening right now is to disable FaceTime on all your Apple devices. On the iPhone, go the Settings app and select FaceTime. Tap the toggle and switch it to grey. FaceTime will no longer be active on the device. On the Mac, open the FaceTime app, select "FaceTime" in the menu bar and click on "Turn off FaceTime". © Twitter / Chris Velazco With rising privacy concerns worldwide, these severe glitches in a core application like FaceTime are extremely worrisome. For a long time, Apple has been talking about privacy on its devices and how they are different from others. They even put up a huge billboard outside CES 2019, taking a dig at Google, Amazon, and other data utilizing companies. The banner read "What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone", and today's discovery completely nullifies their claim. There isn't much we can do right now, but wait for Apple to release a fix. Until then, be careful when you receive a call via FaceTime. Source: Twitter
  12. (This copy doesn't contain any major spoilers but I would recommend you watch the show before reading it. Watch it with a fresh perspective, great things deserve unbiased applause!) The show is mostly about the Titans: Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Nightwing - the first Robin. Mostly because it has the shadow of Bruce Wayne all over it, and that intriguing background makes it the best TV show of 2018. I was never much of a fan of Robin. The reason being, I admired Batman and his one-man-army approach way too much to digest the fact that Batman is working with a sidekick. But this show changed my opinion about Robin. Now, I think that Bruce needed Robin as much as Robin needed Bruce. Batman is one of the darkest characters of DC, “all about rage and violence.” Robin became the “echo chamber for Bruce's pain.” He saved Batman from slipping! That's what this show portrayed. 'Titans' is the show where DC showed who they truly are! In fact, with it, they touched a whole new level of darkness and it was a delight to feel it in each episode. The show has a gripping story, the acting couldn't be any better, and it has the right amount of thrill to make you say to yourself, “just one more episode.” What I absolutely loved about the show was how they so smoothly introduced the stories and struggles of side characters. In just eleven episodes they covered so many stories in a very neat way. Be it the birth of Hawk and Dove, or the comparison of the upbringing of Wonder Girl with Robin's, DC hit the perfect spot! “Wonder Woman was born to protect the innocent. Batman was created to punish the guilty.” Ohh how perfectly they conveyed why Wonder Girl and Robin are the way they are! Raven was the one who had darkness inside her, literally, but still, somehow Robin came out to be the darkest character of all! Talking about Raven, Teagan Croft nailed the role. Anna Diop and Ryan Potter were amazing as Starfire and Beast Boy as well. I won't be touching their stories, might give away spoilers. But I can tell you this, as soon as you're done with this show, you would want their individual shows to be made. Not just theirs, but Hawk and Dove's as well. To sum it up, if I had to dedicate a famous line to this show, it would be – “It's getting dark, too dark to see. Feels like I'm knockin' on heaven's door!” And that's DC for you, people! Dark, too dark to see, still feels like heaven! P.S. For all the DC fans, there's a “rich” surprise for you in the last episode.
  13. Apple's AirPods have been a huge success even after having a hefty price tag. The wireless earbuds are extremely easy to use and can be exclusively used with Apple products only. Continuing the tradition of keeping a closed eco-system, the AirPods are compatible with iPhones only. No other brand has managed to even come close to the AirPods output and sales, the success even prompted Google and Samsung to come up with a pair of their own. Apple did remove the headphone jack but made sure users have a better alternative, that's obviously after ignoring the price. © Xiaomi via MySmartPrice Now, Xiaomi has launched the AirDots Pro. It comes with designs nearly identical to the AirPods, including a Bluetooth-friendly carrying case that doubles as a charger to keep the AirDots charged. Like Apple's earphones, AirDots offer touch controls for music, calls and activating voice assistants -- and they work with both iOS and Android. Xiaomi actually released its original AirDots last year–but they looked nothing like Apple's AirPods. With its new AirDots Pro, that's all changed, however. Xiaomi is expected to host a press event on Jan. 11. The company will likely unveil the AirDots Pro there and provide details on availability. © Xiaomi via MySmartPrice The earbuds are being marketed with multiple names like the AirDots Pro, Freedom Buds Pro, as well as Mi Air. It is possible the product could have a different name depending on the market. They can function independently of each other, and can reportedly run for up to 10 hours on a single charge. According to MySmartPrice, "The Mi Air Bluetooth earbuds utilize a 7mm neodymium driver with a titanium sound chamber for impressive audio quality. Xiaomi's latest earbuds also support the AAC codec and come with ENC noise reduction technology to suppress environmental noise." The earbuds are lightweight at only 5.8 grams and support IPX4 water resistance. It comes with a USB Type-C charger and boasts support for AAC codec. They have Active Noise Cancellation for improved sound and call quality. While the AirPods cost Rs 12,900 in India, the Xiaomi AirDots Pro are priced at CNY 399, that is approximately Rs 4,000. The company has launched them only in China right now, and there's no word on a local launch.
  14. Porn- the very word itself is enough to grab anyone's attention. So much so, that before the ban on pornographic websites was enforced, half of the top ten websites in the country were porn sites! They even ranked higher in traffic than Twitter, Instagram and Wikipedia. It would be safe to say that the ban hasn't stopped people from watching porn and different tricks are being used to get access. So, Does Watching Porn Affect People Who Are Into Fitness? © Thinkstock Images First things first, if you want to get fit you have to eat according to your goals, train hard and smart and most importantly, be patient and consistent. But if your testosterone levels are low, it would be harder for you to pack on that precious muscle mass as compared to someone who is in the average or above average range. Also, testosterone is the hormone that makes men more manly, as in, the more testosterone your body produces, the more masculine you will be. Now, the question for people who are into leading a fit lifestyle is, does watching porn affect testosterone levels? What Does The Research Say? There has been a lot of research into this matter where the testosterone and other hormones levels and physical performance are evaluated by showing the subjects different types of pictures and videos like photos of food and happy couples to action videos, funny videos, sad videos, and of course, adult videos. The response is checked in terms of whether the participant is neutral to it or does it affect the mood one way or another. Let's Look At The Studies In this study, 12 people who were athletes were shown video clips which were pornographic, sad and aggressive in nature, before making them check their 3 rep squat max, and the results were very interesting. While watching porn did actually boost testosterone levels, on the other hand, testosterone levels decreased and the "aggressive" video clip increased cortisol levels. Finally, when the subjects were asked to do the three-rep squat maxes after viewing the clips, those who had watched porn saw an improvement. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21983238 In this study, 20 young adult males where shown full-length porn movies which boosted their testosterone levels up by a whopping 35 per cent. The increase began around 15 minutes into the film and peaked 60-90 minutes later. This showed an increase in motivation and competitiveness and a decrease in exhaustion. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/4001279 Let's do the math here. Assume that your normal testosterone is around 500nh/dl, which is considered to be on the lower side of the spectrum, and you raise your testosterone levels by watching something arousing by around 35% and it remains elevated throughout your workout, that would leave you somewhere around 675nh/dl, which is considered average. So, it won't give you the same effects as sticking a needle up your backside as most of the gym rats nowadays do, but it certainly would make a small difference as the quality of your workouts will go up (heavier weights, more energy, and increased aggressiveness), which is a LOT better than sticking needles filled with synthetic testosterone, which will shut down your natural testosterone production instantly. Almost 80 per cent of all the research done on the subject shows that there is an elevation in testosterone levels when an external stimulus is introduced. What Does It Mean? © YouTube A very important thing to notice here is that all of the improvement in performances occurred when the men did not "finish" their porn viewing session, you know what I mean. If you do finish your session, your performance in the gym will be affected for around two hours or so after you finish “doing it”. So, does this mean that all that extra testosterone will lead to more gains? Difficult to say, as I mentioned above, there are a lot more factors that come into play besides your natural testosterone levels when it comes to building muscle, so don't expect magic but it 'can' help. But who are we kidding? You're going to try it anyway! 15. The timing of consuming whey protein has always been a hot topic. For decades, people believed that you need to consume whey protein immediately after your workout. With time, however, theories have changed but the myths around this refuse to die down. How to take maximum advantage of whey protein consumption? The latest that you will get to hear is that whey protein is maximum absorbed when taken before a workout, not after. This thought is being supported by many believing that it makes sense, as your body will absorb all the protein during the weight training. Let's find out if this claim holds any substance. What Does Research Say? © Thinkstock We're lucky that we already have a research study where the effects of consuming whey protein before the workout and after the workout were compared. In this research, a group of men were divided into two and both the groups were given a protein shake containing 25 gm protein. One group received it immediately before their workout and the second group received it immediately after their workout. The study found no significant differences in muscle strength and size between both the groups. Thus it doesn't really matter whether you take your whey protein shake before or after your workout. Daily Protein Intake Plays Crucial Role If your target is to gain muscle size and strength, completing your daily intake of protein is a big factor, rather than timing your protein. The RDA of an average person is 0.8gm/kg which is the minimum amount of protein that a person should consume in his diet. However, people who weight train regularly and athletes, have higher requirements of protein. Though the exact amount of protein intake will depend upon your level of training and other factors, experts recommend consuming around 1.6gm/kg of protein to gain muscle size and strength. Therefore, till the time you are able to meet this requirement of 1.6gm/kg of protein requirement every day; there is no need to worry about timing your protein shake near your workout. It's About Individual Convenience & Preference © Thinkstock As a coach, I often receive requests from my clients to time their protein shake somewhere in the morning when they are leaving for their work. Even those who do their workouts in the evening, sometimes prefer to drink their protein in the morning; reason being? Convenience. They are in a hurry in the morning to reach their office and thus want a convenient way to meet their protein macros. This way, they are able to save time by not having to cook. This is what I want to tell you guys. It's all about your personal convenience at the end. If it's convenient for you to have your protein around your workout, go ahead and consume it around your workout. If not, don't worry. Just have it at the time that suits you the most and concentrate on completing your overall protein intake for the day. 16. Though Creatine Monohydrate is one of the most researched supplements out there, myths around it refuse to die. One of it is: should you consume creatine while cutting or losing weight? The bro science behind this is maddening; so here I bring to you the most logical and science backed answer to this. Let's take some kill shots at these myths. What Does Creatine Monohydrate Do? © YouTube First, let's understand what creatine monohydrate exactly does. Creatine Monohydrate works as an ATP amplifier in our body. ATP which stands for Adinosine tri phosphate is the most basic unit of energy that is used by the cells to function. When you supplement with creatine, it increases the phosphocreatine stores in the muscles that produce more ATP energy, to fuel the muscles during high intensity exercises. Creatine can also help you in increasing the IGF-1 which in turn may help you in increasing muscle mass. Thus Creatine supplementation is generally done to increase strength and muscle mass in 'trained' athletes. Creatine While Gaining Weight (Muscle Mass) When you are aiming to gain put on muscle mass, strengthening your muscles is of prime importance. Studies have shown that people who consume creatine are able to increase their weight lifting capacity more than the placebo (when not using creatine). When you are able to lift heavier weights, your muscles get strong and you achieve hypertrophy aka muscle growth. Thus, it makes sense to use creatine when you are gunning to gain size. Creatine While Cutting (Losing Fat Without Losing Muscle Mass) © YouTube Something that's VERY often recommended by uneducated trainers is that 'if you are cutting, it's time to leave creatine all together'. The truth is that, it makes much more sense to take creatine when you are cutting. The reason for this is that when you are on a cut, you decrease your overall caloric intake, which leads to less intensity in your workouts. People often report a loss of strength on a cut diet due to lesser carb consumption. Creatine is what's going to minimize this effect by retaining more water in the muscle cells. You will look fuller and strength dips wouldn't be that hard hitting. People who reduce their carb intake and also stop taking creatine at the same time are actually the ones who complain the most about losing strength on a cut. So yes, if you are cutting and want to lose more fat than the hard earned muscle mass, creatine will do the job. 17. When it comes to setting trends, Bollywood is generally good at both making it and breaking it. But in some instances, Bollywood simply follows them as well. Let us understand whether we could call Bollywood a trend setter or a trend follower or both. Speaking of setting trends, Bollywood has always been the front-runner in the Indian entertainment industry when it comes to fashion and has given a huge impetus to the fashion industry. It surely knows how to up the style statement in every sphere – films, international red carpet appearances, fashion shows or brand endorsements. © Instagram Whether it is Manish Malhotra's fashion shows or Sabyasachi Mukherjee's creation during the Virushka wedding or other B-town celebrities, they definitely know how to make heads turn. Making international appearances, the leading ladies of Bollywood have grabbed a lot of eyeballs by walking down the international red carpet every year and by featuring on the covers of glamorous glossy magazine worldwide. Be it Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the Cannes Film Festival or Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone at the Met Gala; these B-town beauties have always kept the paparazzi on their toes. © Instagram From press conferences to film premieres, high-profile weddings to airport appearances, Bollywood never stays out of style and has become a fashion icon for the most part of the Indian population. With multiple clothing and grooming product endorsements, Bollywood has always raised the style quotient for many Indians. This is quite evident from the huge pay cheques they take home every year. Now, speaking of following trends, Bollywood has been following the footsteps of Hollywood in churning out the same old content in the form of remakes and sequels besides biopics. Also, with the new trend of remixing songs from the late 80s and 90s into present Bollywood films, Bollywood is just copying itself. © Twitter Bollywood has been following the same old trend of film promotions by reaching out to reality shows and guest appearances in TV soaps. Furthermore, it still relies heavily on local language films to bring mass audiences to the theatres. What do you think – is Bollywood good at setting trends or following them? 18. There's been a long standing debate about the consumption of soy protein. Is it good for men? Can men eat copious amounts of it? Can it be a part of your nutrition arsenal? The questions are many and so are the myths. Here's the most logical and scientific take on soy protein. 1) Soy protein is one such source which is neither completely safe (at higher intakes) nor harmful (at moderate intake). 2) It`s fine to add soy protein in your diet unless you become a 'soyboy' and start consuming all of your protein from it. 3) Soy protein is good for vegans but not in any way equal or superior to milk protein when it comes to building muscle. Cheap And Widely Produced © bodybuilding wizard One third of the world's soybean is produced in the US alone. Being an easily available food source with high protein content at a dirt cheap price makes it very popular among health and gym freaks (especially vegans) to meet their protein requirement. Myth 1- Soy protein causes gyno or man-boobs The myth originates from a study where a 60 year old man consumed approx 3L of soya milk everyday continuously for 6 months. Can you see the flaw here? The man was already at an age where estrogen levels are high and on top of that he was consuming excessive amounts of soy milk. A litre of soy milk contains approx 33gm of protein. The old man's intake came to be around 99gm just from soy milk. He was most probably drinking his daily quota of protein from soy. As I said in the start of the article, consume no more than 1/3 of your total protein intake from soy and you will have no issues. Myth 2- Soy can affect fertility or decrease sperm count Three clinical studies conducted show that soy has no effect on sperm concentration or quality. As a matter of fact, in one case, daily iso-flavone (found in soy) supplementation for 6 months resulted in normalization of sperm quality and quantity in the male partner of an infertile couple. © Thinkstock Images Myth 3- Soy protein is better than whey protein This is usually nothing more than a vain attempt by soy manufacturers to sell their range of products. Be it soy milk, tofu or soy protein, they are good in general but when compared to milk proteins like cheese, cow milk and whey, soy simply gets beat down. Biological value (measure of proportion of protein absorbed from a food) of whey is much higher than that of soy. Not only B.V, but the Branched chain amino acid (BCAAs) content of whey protein is higher than that of soy protein. Soy protein is fine no doubt, but calling it better than whey or milk protein is simply stupid. Myth 4- Eating Soy products reduces testosterone Answer to this is not simple, i.e. not black and white. Without causing any confusion among readers citing different studies with different outcomes, I can tell you that if you are a male and want to consume soy long term, as long as you are not exceeding more than 1/3 of your total protein from soy products, you will be fine. So it`s better not to go crazy on soy and add other protein sources in daily diet as well. I will conclude this article by saying while soy can be great for a vegans or vegetarians, meat eaters can also consume it without having to worry about any downsides. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5188409/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19524224 Daman Singh is an internationally certified sports Nutritionist and an athlete competes in Strongman and powerlifting without the aid of Anabolics .He also runs a YouTube channel named :- SIKHSPACK and you can follow him on Instagram and trains Drug free population .
  19. Arguably one of the biggest names in Indian cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni continues to garner praise for his brilliance on the field and gets criticised every time he fails to live up to the expectations of a billion fans. Such is India's obsession with the Jharkhand cricketer that no matter what he does - both on and off the field, it becomes a subject of public interest. A calm and cool campaigner who rarely allows his emotions to get the better of him, Dhoni is quite a private person in his life away from the playing field. While his teammates are often seen glued to their gadgets, Dhoni has often been accused of staying away from mobile phones. © BCCL In fact, there have been a lot of cricketers who've claimed in the past that it is hard to get in touch with Dhoni on the phone. Clearing the air for the very first time, the former Indian captain revealed: "Me and technology, there is a big divide. I don't use phones so much and there are lot of stories I don't pick up phones". "But I do use technology as well. When I am shown some videos, you wonder if I am playing it right. Technology has to be used in right way," the 37-year-old cricketer said. © BCCL Dhoni's reluctance to use technology was one of the main reasons why he was missing from VVS Laxman's retirement bash in 2012 which further raised questions on the rapport the two cricketers shared. "You think it's a controversy but people who know me always complained that I'm someone who is quite difficult to get hold of. That was one of the reasons why Laxmanbhai could not get hold of me," Dhoni claimed. "That's not something new. I have tried to improve but it seems I have not really improved," he added. Dhoni was part of the Indian side that defeated England 2-1 in the T20I series before suffering a loss in the ODIs. While his teammates are busy preparing for the second Test at Lord's, Dhoni will be seen in action during the 2018 Asia Cup which is slated to begin from 15th September in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
