  1. Those who follow Kangana Ranaut on Twitter have a fair idea that she doesn’t shy away from putting out her opinion in public. Yesterday, at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Thalaivi, she was asked about why she often criticizes people and gets into arguments with them. To this, Kangana had the perfect response. Without mincing her words, she said, “Well, I personally feel that a lot of things that I do and say are to have a kind of light-hearted interaction and at times, people take it seriously because they are dead serious in their lives. Hence, things roll into one event to another.” She went on to add, “Having said that, I might criticize people because I want to express things that have hurt me. It’s easier to interact with people. Otherwise, my intention has always been to have a light-hearted moment but people aren’t very comfortable with those who are clear and honest with their opinions. I get extreme reactions and at times, I do get taken aback. When you have no agenda in your heart and you aren’t doing anything with any exterior motives, you will always win and there are two ways about it." Here’s the video: View this post on Instagram Talking about Thalaivi, the movie traces the journey of Jayalalithaa from films to politics. The film also features Arvind Swami as MG Ramachandran, Prakash Raj as M Karunanidhi, Jisshu Sengupta as Sobhan Babu, and Bhagyashree as Jayalalithaa’s mother Sandhya. At the trailer launch, Kangana also mentioned that Thalaivi was the first film in her career that she was recommended for. “Thalaivi is the main focus of my life right now. This journey would have not been started if Vijayendra sir had not recommended me. For the first time, I got recommended for a role. Usually, I get recommended only to get thrown out of films. So, for the first time, a man recommended me for a film. But I was very much apprehensive about taking on the role. I’m not very familiar with the politics in Tamil Nadu and even the film industry for that matter,” said the Queen actor. Here’s the trailer: Thalaivi releases on April 23 this year. 2. Technically speaking, the third Test of the India-England series was supposed to get over on Sunday, February 28, 2021 had the two sides played until the final day of the match. However, a rather disappointing batting display by the England side in both the innings led to their sudden collapse, bringing them defeat in less than two days’ time. View this post on Instagram There exists yet another perception about the Day-Night clash at the newly inaugurated Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad according to which, the reason behind such a short, two-day international Test match was the extremely tricky pitch and its uneven bounce. Following the conclusion of the penultimate match of the series, one of the most important members of the Indian cricket team and Test 2 ‘Man of the Match’ winner Ravichandran Ashwin was questioned by an English journalist about his thoughts on the Motera pitch. The 34-year old Indian cricketer however, thought of responding to the journalist's question with a question of his own. ️ ️ "We have never complained about the pitch in the past."#TeamIndia's ace spinner @ashwinravi99 sets the record straight.@Paytm #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/K2V4OvBQDn — BCCI (@BCCI) February 27, 2021 “I have a question back. What is a good cricket surface? Who defines it,” Ashwin counter-questioned the journalist. “Yes, of course. The bowler wants to win the game. The batsman needs to bat well to get runs. There’s absolutely no question about it. What makes a good surface? Who defines this? Seam on the first day and then bat well and then spin on the last two days? Come on! Who makes all these rules, we need to get over it and not talk about whatever picture you want to paint.” “If you’re asking whether it was a good Test surface, I don’t see any of the players coming from England having an issue with the surface. They want to improve; they look like they want to have a contest. Is it the players and the people who are reporting back that want their players to not compete and complain about the pitches? Because we have never done that on any of the tours,” Ashwin added. Shite https://t.co/hZTQN1OdK2 — Michael Vaughan (@MichaelVaughan) February 25, 2021 Ashwin, who has leveled up as the fifth best all-rounder in the longest format of the game, said everything along the lines of what opening batsman Rohit Sharma had said following India’s win at Chennai’s Chepauk stadium in the second Test. However, it was the way in which he responded to the question that has the fans of the Men in Blue divided in two categories - those who loved what he said and backed up his answer as completely legitimate and those who felt it was more of an escape from a tough situation. ️ ️ "We have never complained about the pitch in the past."#TeamIndia's ace spinner @ashwinravi99 sets the record straight.@Paytm #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/K2V4OvBQDn — BCCI (@BCCI) February 27, 2021i personally like Ashwin's Bold answers like i admire MSD. he clearly telling that indians not complaining about pitches while playing overseas. players need guts to play in india. spinning Land! play with skills — AB (@ImAbsarAli) February 27, 2021Omg , not once have I ever seen anyone complain when the batters gets runs on a batting pitch , whilst everyone seems to lose their minds when bowlers do well. — IRVIN (@Vakil_giri1000) February 27, 2021What is with indian players, they start getting aggressive when they don't have any answers. — Nikhil (@NykhilChopra_) February 27, 2021Absolute B.S reply. A good surface means even bounce on day one. — Shafiq Ahmad (@Akhund_Shafiq) February 27, 2021The question was "do you think that was a good Test match pitch?" Fair question, asked politely. Ash could have given his perspective without flaring up. — The Wag Post (@ManThirteenth) February 27, 2021 View the full article
  3. Koo, India’s alternative to Twitter that is offered in multiple regional languages has been accused of exposing users’ personal data. The apparent problem was discovered by French security researcher Robert Baptiste who revealed his findings on Twitter. According to Baptiste, he spent 30 minutes on Koo at the request of his followers and found the app was exposing sensitive information of its users. Details such as names, gender, email addresses and more were revealed to be left vulnerable by the application. You asked so I did it. I spent 30 min on this new Koo app. The app is leaking of the personal data of his users: email, dob, name, marital status, gender, ... https://t.co/87Et18MrOg pic.twitter.com/qzrXeFBW0L — Elliot Alderson (@fs0c131y) February 10, 2021Baptiste shared screenshots on Twitter which shows that it was fairly easy for him to get personal information of Koo users. He said the app leaks personal data of its users with other information such as DOB, marital status and email details. Koo’s domain is also not registered in India but instead in the US with the registrant based in China. © KooApp Koo currently is being touted as the alternative to Twitter as the app offers features almost identical to Twitter. Koo’s unique selling point is having support for regional languages which gives it an advantage over Twitter. However, in our usage, the app is not as intuitive to use as basic sections such as ‘Trending’ take a very long time to load. Koo describes itself as an app "built for Indians to share their views in their mother tongue and have meaningful discussions. Discussions are around interesting topics. It empowers people to express their thoughts in Indian languages with a strong-knit local Indian community.” View the full article
  4. Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan launched the trailer of their film, Coolie No 1, and people thought they were trying to get into the shoes of Karisma Kapoor and Govinda. Some even bashed Sara for trying to take Karisma’s place because it’s impossible for her to even make a mark, let alone take her place. The film stars Sara and Varun as Malti and Kunwar Mahendra Pratap is a remake of the 1995 Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer. View this post on Instagram Sara has finally answered those who think she is trying to copy Karisma. She has strongly denied it and even added that she is not capable of doing so as Karisma in the movie is iconic. She told Bollywood Hungama, "One is not trying to copy Karisma ma'am or trying to fill her shoes or anything like that because she is an institution in herself. While she is extremely inspiring, I wouldn't dare to try to ape her because I wouldn't be able to do so even if I tried very hard. So the only attempt here is to bring something of my own into this film. For me, it wasn't as much about following in her footsteps as much as it was about performing under David sir's guidance, chemistry with Varun, and things like that." “As far as a passive or active character or screen time is concerned, for me as an actor, it is exciting to be part of exciting films. I want to be able to do different genres of films, I want to tell interesting stories and at the end of it, I want to do films like these that make you laugh. Now, if you are laughing because of Varun's jokes or mine or Paresh sir's, I don't get bothered with that. You are watching my film and laughing. I am very satisfied with that," Sara Ali Khan added. View this post on Instagram Directed by David Dhawan, Coolie No. 1 also stars Paresh Rawal, Javed Jaffrey, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav amongst others, and is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh. 5. How to get Steve Smith out? That is the question fans of the Indian cricket team have been Googling ever since the offensive juggernaut struck back to back centuries in the two consecutive ODIs against the Men in Blue and it seems Harbhajan Singh might have the solution. View this post on InstagramIn a conversation with India Today, the spinner said: “I would like to see Smith batting against spinners. You know, Yuzvendra Chahal or maybe Kuldeep Yadav coming in, in the side. They both bowling in tandem and bowl 7-8 overs of spin when Smith comes in. Steve Smith is someone who likes pace on the bat if you take that away from him for some time that might be the key point to get him out.” View this post on InstagramHe also added a little bit of advice based on his decades of experience for the 30-year-old spinner: “I don’t see anything wrong going with Chahal. It’s the conditions, it’s purely the different conditions what they get in Australia and what they were getting in UAE… My advice to Chahal would be to keep working harder on his game and bowl a little bit slower in the air if possible and you might see some turn on the wicket.” Smith in the last two matches has been playing on a level above the rest of the batsmen in both the teams. View this post on InstagramIn the first ODI, Smith walked to the middle after David Warner and skipper Aaron Finch had already established a 150-run partnership. He’d then go on to have another 100+ run partnership with his captain before rallying with Glenn Maxwell to get himself a quick 66-ball century and leave a massive total of 374 runs on the table for Team India to chase. View this post on InstagramHowever, in the second ODI, Smith managed to outdo himself when he scored 104 in 64 balls with 14 4’s and two 6’s. What’s even more impressive is the fact that the Australian was going through a severe incident of vertigo just before the match. On the other hand, this series has not been so kind on Chahal, who was supposed to be India’s greatest weapon against the Aussies, considering they were known to buckle up a bit against spinners. He has conceded 160 runs in 19 overs and only has one wicket under his belt to compensate for it. View this post on Instagram While the three-match series is already lost, the third match on Wednesday can be fruitful for Chahal as it would allow him to bring more flight in his deliveries as Bhajji suggested and maybe he can get a breakthrough and prepare himself for the upcoming T20I series. 7. The Indian skies are impenetrable and secure because of the daredevil protectors who hold the fort at all times, never sparing a thought about their personal safety. These knights in their blue armours put up such a fine display of bravado and selflessness which is matched only by a few others. But how often do we think about all the hardships they face and sacrifices they make for the likes of us who are busy delivering justice to people on social media and behave as though the hanging of the Nirbhaya convicts makes India safe for its women and ‘rape never happens’ in Bharat. © indianairforce On the occasion of Air Force Day, an Indian Air Force veteran who served the country for 38 years, spoke about his passion for conquering the skies, the unparalleled sacrifices every Armed Forces officer makes for the sake of his/her nation and its safety, as well as what the common man’s responsibility is towards his country. Speaking to Humans of Bombay, the retired Air Force officer recalled, “I was 3 years old when an Indian Air Force pilot put me in an aircraft. That was all it took for me to know that I also wanted to fly for India someday. Let me start from the beginning– I joined the National Defense Academy in 1956– I was an Air Force Cadet. After being commissioned to fly in 1960, I began serving in the IAF.” © Facebook/Humans of Bombay That was just the beginning. The old man would go on to witness some of the biggest highs and lows of his life while serving for the Air Force and he shares, “During the Gulf war, I was involved in rescuing Indian refugees from Jordan to India. I served during the 1965 war with Pakistan and was even on the sidelines watching a failed coup attempt to capture Saddam Hussain.”That’s not all, he also opened up about all the times he cheated death only to view it as extra hours to serve his country. Talking about those knee-jerking experiences, he shared, “I’ve had quite a few close shaves in my time– once, I’d been flying a lot, so a colleague insisted on flying in my place; he crashed and passed away. I was devastated, but this made me more resolute to serve for him and me, for the years to come. I have had the honour of surviving two major air crashes. We were in Iraq when two fighter jets collided– I can still remember the feeling of elation my fellow officers and I had, knowing that we’d survived to fight another day.” © dignitarydefenseacademy He added that right from dropping guns for the troops during the Indo-China war to acting as a commercial pilot when there was a shortage of pilots, he has done it all. Now as a retired ex-serviceman, he makes a valid point when he says, “I spent the majority of my life up in the skies. 38 years I flew for India, that has been my biggest privilege. The youth today must know that privilege – we fought to protect you, and now, we’re handing over the baton to you. What are you doing to serve your country today?” Really, what are we doing to serve our country? Are we doing enough? Can we do better? These are the questions that need to be asked and answered. Do you have an answer for him? View the full article
  8. Shah Rukh Khan's online presence can be summed up in one line - he's not a regular dad, he's a cool dad. One of King Khan's best quality is, of course, his humour, along with his wit, and it's just great that thanks to social media, we get a more personal approach to celebrities and sometimes even interact with them. Since everyone is under lockdown as of now, it also gives celebs an opportunity to talk to fans as no one has a busy schedule right now. So, since SRK was probably 'bored in the house and in the house bored', he decided to conduct an #askSRK session and honestly, it's a blessing since his answers are always so hilarious and honest. He even started out with a funny tweet, this man is just great. Ok itâs a good idea. Letâs begin...please use the hashtag. â Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) April 20, 2020 There's one answer that's actually very respectable. 11. Bappi Lahiri is a renowned celebrity in Bollywood who has belted out some great music hits and has also been awarded for the same. But, apart from his impeccable list of songs and dance-worthy albums, Bappi Da certainly has one thing, that basically sums him up completely - his golden chains! Called the 'Golden Man' of Bollywood, he has never, ever been spotted without his gold chains, bracelets, rings and a watch. © Viral Bhayani This man is the definition of the word bling who never fails to make a statement wearing his stacked long gold chains. While some might raise eyebrows at this, we know one thing for sure and that is, no one can match his swagger in Bollywood, not even Ranveer Singh. © Viral Bhayani Recently, the singer celebrated 50 years of being a part of the Bollywood industry. It was sort of obvious that he would show up in his 'gold man' avatar but honestly, that aside, even his outfit was nothing short of experimental this time and we couldn't help but dig it. Take a look here: © Viral Bhayani Bappi Da has outdone himself here as he wore a velvet cardigan with golden embellishments that made quite a dramatic statement. The handwork done on it makes it appear quirkier than it already is. The rest of his outfit, shows us that Bappi Da knows the game of layering his outfits. Sartorially, a relaxed black tee and pants can elevate the suaveness of the layered piece and Bappi Da aced it quite well. Coming to stacked, blingy accessories that have made the whole world call him the 'gold man', Bappi Da has a story behind all the chains he adorns every time. In one of his interviews, he said, "In Hollywood, Elvis Presley used to wear gold chains. I was a huge follower of Presley. I used to think, if I become successful someday, then I will build a different image of mine. By the grace of God, I could do it with gold. Earlier people used to think, it is just a way to show off. But it is not so. Gold is lucky for me." © Viral Bhayani Now, if you are wondering, how much these gold chains are worth, well, you are in for a big surprise now. The man has gold worth Rs. 20 lakh (estimated). Yes, let that sink in! Bappi Da surely has immense fan following, not just in India but across the globe. Even though the reason for him sporting his fanciful jewellery is a belief, we are all in for that, plus his unparalleled style and the quirky game as well. Bravo, Da! View the full article

Being an outsider, it's not easy to make a mark, but with his versatile choices and acting skills, Ayushmann has managed to attract a massive following of movie buffs, who just wait to see him in all his glory on the big screen. Now, he is all set to show his acting prowess in his upcoming film, 'Article 15'. The trailer has already piqued the interest of the viewers and they are waiting with bated breath to see Ayushmann nail his character, like all his other roles. The plot of 'Article 15' bears a resemblance to the 2014 Badaun gangrape and murder case, and it will surely be a mirror to the society and its brutal practices. While a majority of people were all praises for the trailer, some users on social media found it a bit 'offensive' and Ayushmann somewhere knows that it has affected a certain section of the society. Well, according to Ayushmann, there is nothing 'offensive' as such when you will see the film. At an event, when he was asked about the criticism, he said, “But after they watch the film, (they'll realize) there's nothing offensive or maybe we have offended everyone because we haven't targeted any community.” The movie is all set to hit the screens on June 28 and the trailer has given us an insight into what the film has to offer. The film also stars Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub. The film talks about Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination by the state against any citizen on the basis of religion, race, caste, ***, and place of birth. Talking about the idea behind the movie, the actor said, “Our country is a unique one because we have all kinds of people and we are very sensitive towards ourselves. We are proud of ourselves, of our communities. We are so depressed in our real lives that we need something to feel proud about. The appeal of this film is we should be proud of our country, but we can't be blindly proud of it. We need to better our nation.” We do agree with his thoughts. What about you?
  16. If you haven't seen the swan song of 'Game of Thrones', you probably shouldn't read ahead. With Stark children in all their 'rightful' places that in a way defines closure for them as characters, we now know that they're doing something they've had intentions of before but never got around doing because of circumstances. Like how Jon once said to Ygritte that he wanted to wander around sans responsibility. He's doing that, in the end, considering no one needs a Night's Watch anymore. And Arya is off for another adventure, something she once mentioned during her time in Braavos. © HBO Arya once asked, "Essos is East. Westeros is West, but what's West of Westeros?" A question no one in Westeros can answer because that's where all the maps end. No one really knows. With the White Walkers dead, and the Mad Queen murdered, there's really no action left in Westeros. They're going to try and rebuild the city and the damage a dragon and his mother had caused. But sedentary life was never made for Arya. She's already declined Gendry's proposal because that's not her. But here's the thing, after wrapping up a successful series like 'Game of Thrones', HBO is open to the idea of spin-offs, one of which is already in the making. But here's a spin-off we wouldn't mind watching: Arya the Adventurer and her explorations of a world beyond Westeros. Arya mentioned back in Season 6 to Lady Crane that no one knows what's West of Westeros. So she created her own Stark fleet with a Stark sigil atop. Fans have requested for the spin-off on her extended storyline and honestly, it makes sense. Unlike the show, the books do provide a little information about what's West of Westeros. Like Daenerys, Arya will have to cross the Sunset Sea. According to the 'Wiki of Ice and Fire', the Sunset Sea contains animals like swordfish, seals and whales but no one has ever successfully crossed this sea, according to Martin. Somewhat fittingly, the last person to try was another King Bran Stark — Brandon the Shipwright from the North. But he was never heard of again. But now we know Arya is made differently. She can survive this and that would make for a brilliant story that we'd love to hear.
  17. There was a lot of hype surrounding the new OnePlus 7 series phones and rightfully so. The company launched both the phones earlier this week with much fanfare. ASUS, on the other hand, just launched a new device called the ZenFone 6 without much fanfare. Anyway, here's everything you need to know about this phone. The new ASUS ZenFone 6, much like the OnePlus 7 Pro, sports a completely bezel-less screen. However, it doesn't have a pop-up selfie camera. Instead, the ZenFone 6 has a flip-top camera, which is just as crazy as it sounds. It's very similar to Samsung's Galaxy A80, but this one appears to have a little more complicated setup and we have our doubts about its durability. © YouTube The flip-top camera setup includes two lenses - there's a 48MP Sony IMX586 coupled with a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens. And since the setup can be rotated, you get these two super powerful cameras for the selfies too. As for the specs itself, ASUS has decided to go all in with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Both the front as well as the back are protected by Gorilla Glass 6, and the phone has a 5,000 mAh battery inside. Above all, ASUS has decided to go with a near-stock version of Android with this phone, which is just awesome, and it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Nice! © ASUS Pricing & Availability The ASUS ZenFone 6 will be available in Europe for a starting price of €499 for the base variant. The 6GB + 128GB version will retail for €559, whereas the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at €599. The prices, as you can see, certainly makes it look like a better deal than the OnePlus 7 Pro or any flagship phone out there on the market right now, but we'll have to see how it performs and how much it'll cost in India.
  18. A question that can have hundreds of answers but we still can't be sure if any of them are correct. It's so cruel that no one can for sure know what actually happens unless you die for real and the curiosity is honestly just too hard to deal with. But, we have one concrete answer for the question, all thanks to the purest and most wholesome person ever - Keanu Reeves. Recently, he appeared on 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' and talked about his upcoming movie, 'Bill & Ted Face The Music'. Basically, the movie has the duo trying to write a song to save the entire universe and if they fail, “it's the end of the universe”. To this, Stephen said, “You're facing your own mortality and the mortality of all existence, wow.” Then, that was followed by a casual yet loaded question - “What do you think happens when we die, Keanu Reeves?” Instead of any funny or random answer, Keanu thought hard about it and gave the truest and most profound answer to the question that I've ever seen. He said, “I know that the ones who love us will miss us.” So simple, yet so brilliant, Keanu literally left Stephen Colbert speechless, which is quite a rare thing for a talk-show host. Keanu Reeves gives the right answer to an impossible question. pic.twitter.com/hQAgaaGSEY — laney (@misslaneym) May 11, 2019 It gets even more meaningful when you know how much tragedy he's faced in his life. He lost his best friend when he was very young, then his baby daughter was stillborn and because of that, he also ended up losing the woman he loved. It's not just Stephen who is at a loss of words after this, the video has seen a lot of great reactions ever since it was uploaded. The best, and my personal favourite. HE'S SO WORTHY! Keanu Reeves could easily pick up Mjolnir. — LA (@lancelotaustin) May 12, 2019 True. Ironic because Keanu Reeves is immortal pic.twitter.com/FuFo67GnHO — Jidder Bug (@YatesDotcom) May 12, 2019 Simple. Keanu. https://t.co/k8A4IeUnuD — Kumail Nanjiani (@kumailn) May 12, 2019 So beautiful. Stephen Colbert lost his father and 2 of his brothers in a plane crash when he was 10 years old. In this moment, I really felt like he was thinking of them. — Dana Melton (@DeadChuffed) May 12, 2019 Truly. Wow, that's absolutely perfect - Stephen being absolutely speechless was about the only possible response in that situation. I mean, what on earth do you say to that? Beautiful words from an amazing human being. — Matticious (@Matticious1) May 12, 2019 Yep. Three great things I know about Keanu Reeves - he fought for my friend - the great Carrie-Anne Moss who was unknown at the time - to be his co-star in the Matrix. He divies up his 'extra earnings' on films w/the crew. He's nice as hell. When the time comes - many will miss him. — BLOOP! (@susiemcdonnell) May 12, 2019 The most unselfish person. What do you think happens when we die? Atheist: We turn into specks of dust Theist: We go to Heaven or Hell Keanu Reeves: pic.twitter.com/jXCcLPxSxH — jimiecheng (@jimiecheng) May 13, 2019 Exactly. It's interesting to think how people almost always selfishly argue about what happens to us when we die. It's refreshing to see someone who's first thought is sympathy for those who are left behind. — Kilikikero (@kilikikero) May 11, 2019 Agreed. Keanu reeves is the one and only person who would not be corrupted by omnipotence — scared ass cat (15 days till ð) (@Smuttysquid) May 12, 2019
  19. White Walkers are absolutely terrifying creatures on 'Game Of Thrones'. Their extent of powers is not known yet and they're capable of waking the dead to fight for them. However, each time they successfully achieve a conquest on the show, they leave behind a visible dent in the shape of the storm. So far, there has been more than one instance of this mark being left. In the first episode of season 8, Tormund, Beric, and Edd saw it firsthand, and there exists a tonne of Reddit theories about the Night King's symbol on Game of Thrones. This particular mark was made by nailing Lord Umber (now a wight) to a wall of House Umber with limbs of the other slain Northerners around him to make a spiral symbol. The dead have been used multiple times to make this spiral. So what does the spiral exactly mean? Why align the dead in this particular way? It is interesting to note at this point that it's also present in the cave drawings at the Dragonstone. This is an important marker of identity for the Whites. Some of the suggestions analysing what it could mean include: 1. Kill All The Men © HBO The Children of the Forest created the White Walkers to kill the First Men. Remus88Romulus's theory suggests that the symbol is a kind of rune or spell that the White Walkers follow that instructs them to kill people. So once the army of the dead has followed their orders, they create the symbol again to show they've accomplished their mission. 2. A Ritualistic Symbol From The Children Of The Forest © HBO Helmer1134, another Redditor, suggests that the Night King could be extorting power from the roots by using a symbol used in the rituals by the Children of the Forest. This very symbol was present when the Children of the Forest were creating the Night King by shoving a dragonglass in his heart. 3. A Possible Sign That The Night King Wants To Be Human Again © HBO The Night King's life was taken away from him by the Children of the Forest, maybe he's still not over how unfair it all was. That's what Moeez_Malik considers with the theory that the Night King is using the symbol to mark his way home where he might be able to become a man again. 4. The Night King's Sigil © HBO All the houses within the Seven Kingdoms have sigils that represent their identity and honour. His name is "King" after all, the Night King might've created this sigil long ago to represent his presence as Crowd_Chatter guessed. Although this theory from Mtolivepickle suggests that the Night King's sigil is a raven's skull with an eye in the center is equally plausible. 5. The Night King Was A Targaryen © HBO The sigil for House Targaryen is a three-headed dragon and for some reason, it looks strikingly similar to the White Walker symbol. Also, because resurrecting a dragon came naturally to him and the dragon happens to like him too. A couple of Redditors think that this could only mean that the Night King is a Targaryen. 6. King's Landing & Where The Mad King Stored Wildfire © HBO UCJAgent discusses how the symbol could signal where the "caches of wildfire" are in King's Landing. Jaime told Brienne back in Season 3 (and Cersei utilized in Season 6), the Mad King Aerys II Targaryen had stored wildfire "all over the city — beneath the Sept of Baelor and the slums of Flea Bottom. Under houses, stables, taverns. Even beneath the Red Keep itself." UCJAgent theorized that the Mad King purposefully placed the wildfire in a way to match the Targaryen sigil — and that this wildfire will be what eventually destroys the Night King. He carries the hints of his destruction with him and yet no one has figured that out. 7. The White Walkers' Blood Magic © HBO Blood magic and fantasy are intertwined. And just like Mirri Maz Duur, Melisandre, and Maggy the Frog, maybe the White Walkers have their own type of blood magic or Wight magic. As Aixelsydguy theorized, the symbol could be part of a White Walker ritual that allows the White Walkers to revive corpses and use them to their favour. 8. It's The White Walkers' Final Destination © HBO The spiral could possibly also represent the weirwood trees. Reddit user bro8619 in nuanced theory noted how the symbols are actually representing the Isle of Faces in the Gods Eye Lake. Lame_of_Thrones thinks that the Night King and his army are headed to the Isle of Faces, which is an important location for the Children of the Forest and the First Men and is supposedly filled with weirwoods. Maybe that's their ultimate destination. Which theory do you think is more plausible?
  20. Besides getting a driver's license and moving out of the house for further studies, shaving for the first time is a seminal moment in every man's life. We've all looked on with a tinge of envy and admiration as our fathers (or big brothers) lathered up and emerged with a clean shaven face with just a few measured strokes of a razor. That's why we can't help but feel a little excited when we're finally standing in front of the bathroom mirror, shaving cream and razor in hand, ready to get to work on that stubble for the first time. However, unlike most other rites of passage that signal a boy's transformation into a man, there's no set of rules or guidelines available to us when it comes to that first shave. All we have to go on is what we've seen on TV and the memory of our aforementioned family members in action. And since shaving comes with a real risk of nicks and cuts all over your face and neck (not to mention a whole host of other skin-related complaints,) wouldn't it be great if there was a guide that addressed all your shaving FAQs as you tackled them for the first time? Well, you're in luck - that's exactly what we've put together for you. Question 1: Which Products Do You Need For A Great Shave? © Shutterstock Enter the supermarket and you're confronted with aisles full of grooming products, all of which claim to be an indispensable part of your shaving routine. It can be a little bewildering for the first time shaver, but we're here to tell you that you shouldn't succumb to this pressure and fill your bathroom cabinets with all manner of shaving supplies. At the same time, there's more to shaving than just a shaving cream and a razor. The best shaving kit comprises just five essential elements - a pre-shave oil, lathering agent, brush, razor, and aftershave balm, which is all you need for a great shave. Question 2: How Should You Prepare Your Skin For Shaving? © Shutterstock One of the most common shaving mistakes that even the most experienced hands make is hacking away at your facial hair while it's still stiff and bristly. Even the best razor blade would struggle to deal with the resistance this creates, leaving you open to the risk of cuts and rashes. For most people, pre-shave preparation only comprises washing their face quickly, a grooming practice that leaves a lot to be desired. A splash of cold water doesn't relax your facial hair enough for you to start shaving, which is why washing your face with warm water is the way to go. The heat and moisture relaxes your hair follicles and softens your beard hair, making it much easier for the blade to slice through. Even a pre-shave face wash with a light exfoliator wouldn't go amiss, as it would get rid of dead skin and oil trapped in your pores. Question 3: How can you choose the right razor? © Wikimedia Commons Every specialised job requires the right tools, with shaving being no different. With a variety of options available in the market, it's important to zero in on the best razor to suit your needs in terms of grooming and budget. While disposable razors are the pocket-friendly option, they can't match up to their more technologically-advanced counterparts. Multi-blade cartridge razors bring speed and efficiency to the table, but having to buy replacement cartridges at regular intervals makes them pricier in the long run. Double edge safety razors offer the closest shave out of the bunch, and require minimal maintenance costs after a heavy initial investment. However, they also carry the highest risk of nicks and cuts, especially for the inexperienced user because of the extremely sharp blade. For those who don't feel ready to handle a sharp blade just yet, there's even the option of an electric razor that will do the job. Question 4: What is the right way to shave? © Shutterstock` Finally, the million dollar question - what is the ideal shaving technique? Following the direction of growth of your facial hair gets the best results, a technique which is commonly known as shaving with the grain. Just run your hands over your face - if it feels smooth, you're moving with the grain and that's the direction your blade needs to move in. If you shave against the grain, you're tugging the hair in an unnatural direction. Although this might even result in a closer shave, you're much more likely to harm your skin. You should only go down that route if you're not satisfied with the results of your first shave with the grain, but be extremely careful when you're doing so. Question 5: How often should you change blades? © Wikimedia Commons Another misconception when it comes to shaving is that you should change your razor blade every week. In fact, there's no set time period for you to change blades. The dullness of a razor blade depends on several factors, such as its quality, how often you shave, the products you're using, your pre-shave prep and your blade maintenance. For example, your blade will become dull much faster if you're not using the best shaving foam for the job, or if you don't clear out the hair that gets clogged up in the gaps between the blades. A usually reliable indicator that it's time to change blades is if you find yourself having to use extra effort to drag your razor through your hair, because a quality blade should be able to glide through smoothly. Question 6: How can you make sure your skin stays healthy? © Shutterstock Your shave isn't over as soon as you wash your face and towel off - you need to follow proper post-shave procedures. Even though the best shaving creams these days contain aloe vera and other soothing agents, your skin deserves more than that. Having rinsed off with warm water, a splash of cold water is needed to close your open pores and firm up your skin. After that, a quality post-shave balm is the final flourish that your shaving ritual needs to make sure that your skin remains healthy and hydrated.
