But today, Kangana is celebrating seven years of her iconic movie, Queen, which also helped her win the National Award for Best Actress in 2014. After almost a decade long struggle I was told I am too good an actor to be a Bollywood leading lady, curly hair and vulnerable voice made it worse, I signed Queen thinking this will never release, signed it for money with that money I went to film school in Newyork (cont) https://t.co/bOnicdmKet — Kangana Ranaut (@KanganaTeam) March 7, 2021 Kangana took to Twitter to talk about the movie and wrote, "After almost a decade long struggle I was told I am too good an actor to be a Bollywood leading lady, curly hair and vulnerable voice made it worse, I signed Queen thinking this will never release, signed it for money with that money I went to film school in New York." 11. Freedom of speech on social media now seems like a far dream and it is only worsening day by day. So, now if you think of complaining against the Bihar government, be ready to answer the cyber police as the government has now announced that serious action will be taken against people and organizations that speak against the government. According to TOI, this notification was issued by the ADG of Economic Offences Wing, Bihar and it also mentioned that anyone was found making negative comments on social media against the government, ministers, MP’s, MLAs and other government officials would be considered as a cybercrime. © Reuters The letter that was released on behalf of the Economic and Cybercrime Department from Bihar Police Headquarters revealed that the wing will offer more information with respect to the offensive social media post that can lead to the initiation of appropriate criminal action. However, this didn’t sit well with a lot of people including the opposition party. Tejashwi Yadav while talking about the letter announced this sudden change in Bihar he lashed out at CM Nitish Kumar on Twitter and called him ‘Bhishma Pitamah of corruption’ and also called him the weak leader of a corrupt government. While doing so he also challenged the government to arrest him for this very tweet. — Tejashwi Yadav (@yadavtejashwi) January 22, 2021 He also said, "Protesters can't protest at designated spots. Jail for anyone writing against the government. A common man can't meet opposition leaders with his problems." Here’s what people on Twitter have to say about this- Yeh Congress ney kiya hota tou aaj BJp saari jail mein hoti — Bastemin (@bastetmin) January 22, 2021Good. — Narayanan anantharam (@alwar2014) January 22, 2021Like seriously this was only left now.. — shatabdi N (@NShatabdi) January 22, 2021Like seriously this was only left now.. — shatabdi N (@NShatabdi) January 22, 2021Maharashtra me to khush ho rhe th chamche ab dekho inke comments — Indian (@Indian0006) January 22, 2021Incredible indian democracy ! — scalpa (@scalpalascalp) January 22, 2021Freedom of Speech — Anurag Lodha (@Anurag_Lodha1) January 22, 2021NOW, THIS WAS ONLY LEFT. — Aman Singh (@AmanSin28946777) January 22, 2021What do you think? 12. Freedom of speech is one of the most important rights for any citizen and looks like that's under scrutiny now. In a democratic country, people have a right to share their opposing opinions and yes, of course, have a right to share their disdain over the ruling party and any of their laws they find wrong. Well, if you start monitoring what people are allowed to say, it will turn into a dictatorship pretty soon. © Reuters And, I'm not saying that's what's happening in India right now, but if something isn't done, we might be on our way towards that. Reportedly, Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, has decided to bring offensive and defamatory social media posts against the government, its ministers, and other officials, under the category of cybercrime. © Reuters Of course, any serious threats made online towards anyone should be treated as a crime, but is even criticism coming under fire now? I mean, even PM Modi himself has said that he welcomes criticism as that's the sign of democracy. I want this Government to be criticised. Criticism makes democracy strong: PM @narendramodi — PMO India (@PMOIndia) April 18, 2018 What happened here? He has now ordered the state police's Economic Offenses Wing, the nodal point for such crimes, to report and act against those who make them. A letter written by the chief of the Economic Offences Wing, IG Nayyar Hasnain Khan, to all secretaries of the state government says, "It has come to light that certain persons and organizations have been making defamatory and offensive comments on social media against the government, respected ministers, parliamentarians, legislators, and government officials. This is against prescribed law and comes under the category of cybercrime." ⁦@ndtvindia⁩ ⁦@Suparna_Singh⁩ ⁦@NitishKumar⁩ ⁦@yadavtejashwi⁩ pic.twitter.com/0XXnSrVlpS — manish (@manishndtv) January 22, 2021 If speaking against the government is a crime, literally, every citizen should be in jail because let's be real, every single person has at one point disagreed with the government, be it the ruling party now, or the one we had before. Criticizing Nitish Kumar, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav dared him to arrest him. https://t.co/wDJfoMqgjT — Tejashwi Yadav (@yadavtejashwi) January 22, 2021 Saying that he's following Hitler's footsteps, he said, हिटलर के पदचिन्हों पर चल रहे मुख्यमंत्री की कारस्तानियां *प्रदर्शनकारी चिह्नित धरना स्थल पर भी धरना-प्रदर्शन नहीं कर सकते *सरकार के ख़िलाफ लिखने पर जेल *आम आदमी अपनी समस्याओं को लेकर विपक्ष के नेता से नहीं मिल सकते नीतीश जी, मानते है आप पूर्णत थक गए है लेकिन कुछ तो शर्म किजीए pic.twitter.com/k6rtriCJ3x — Tejashwi Yadav (@yadavtejashwi) January 22, 2021 What does the second person even mean? Do they not know what dictatorship is? Yes 🏻 .. love to see some dictatorship for urban secular — Manish Sinha (@Msinha0709BMS) January 22, 2021 We need to stop this. Can't you see this ....... The small gap between dictatorship and democracy is being diluted and now they look same to you isn't. You just keep sleeping and watch the dictators how they one they dictate you about how to eat what to wear , where to go , how to talk. Just wait https://t.co/khPz9SRHLg — APURV KUMAR(nikm) (@APURVkumar003) January 22, 2021 It needs to be withdrawn. Let's see how many will object to this — Achilles (@DrNidhn) January 22, 2021 Exactly. Has Bihar CM forgotten that any Government in a Democracy is by the people of the people and for the people? 13. Losing the 1st Test at the Adelaide Oval, the Indian cricket team made a spectacular comeback in the four-match series following a brilliant eight-wicket win at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). While their turnaround did make the fans back home feel proud, the job is still not done for India. With the series evenly poised at 1-1, the upcoming 3rd Test, slated to begin from 7th January, in Sydney holds key importance for both the teams. While Australia will be eager to return to winning ways, Team India aims to carry their fine form from the 2nd Test into the upcoming clash. UPDATE: KL Rahul ruled out of Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
