SRINAGAR: Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Budgam district on Saturday evening in occupied Kashmir. According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth were martyred during a siege and search operation at Hayatpora area of Chadoora in the district. Locals said that during the operation innocent civilians were beaten by Indian troops, leading to clashes between Indian troops and the youth.

Poor covers delay West Indies, Pakistan Test

KINGSTON: Inadequate covering from heavy overnight and early morning rain delayed the start of play on the second day of the first Test between the West Indies and Pakistan at Sabina Park in Jamaica on Saturday. Paris station panic as man arrested with knife

PARIS: A man carrying a knife was arrested on Saturday at Paris's Gare du Nord station, causing brief panic days after the killing of a policeman, police sources said amid pre-election jitters. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday condemned the attack on a military base in Afghanistan on Friday, in which more than 100 Afghan soldiers were killed, an Inter-Services Public Relations statement said. DOHA: Twenty-six kidnapped men, including members of Qatar’s royal family, were freed on Friday after being held for 16 months in Iraq, Iraq’s interior ministry said. Nandipur Plant converted to LNG, will generate 100MW more from 1st May

LAHORE: The fuel source for Nandipur Power Plant has been shifted to liquefied natural gas (LNG), as of Saturday, in what has been termed a successful transition process.
