India can not subdue occupied Kashmir by force, says prime minister

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said India can not subdue the call for freedom by using force in India-occupied Kashmir.  He also said the struggle for freedom in Kashmir is indigenous and not supported by any outside power.  The prime minister's remarks came on the first death anniversary of Burhan Wani, a freedom fighter martyred by Indian occupation forces in Kashmir.  "Burhan Wani is the start of a new chapter in Kashmir's struggle for freedom," said the prime minister.

CAIRO: At least 10 Egyptian soldiers were killed and several injured when two suicide car bombers hit army checkpoints in northern Sinai on Friday, security sources said.
