All Eyes Are On Lionel Messi After Ronaldo's Flying Start To The 2018 FIFA World Cup In Russia

Be it the La Liga, the Champions League, or the World Cup, every tournament invariably becomes about these two – Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. It has been 10 years since these two have dominated the world stage by winning all the Ballon D'Or trophies between them. The world has never been fixated on and divided by just two players so much. Yes, we still have the Pele vs Maradona debate but their careers hardly overlapped in terms of playing years.  Source: Reuters Cup after cup, Messi has been carrying the expectations of not just his own nation, Argentina, but of millions of fans who worship him and consider him to be from another planet. It's an open secret that if Leo manages to lift the World Cup, he will stamp his authority as the greatest player of all time. However, the World Cup has eluded Messi. He came within touching distance of lifting it in 2014, but an extra time stunner by Goetze saw Germany lifting the cup.  Source: Reuters Last night, people from around the world witnessed the brilliance of Ronaldo, when he struck 3 goals, taking his hat-trick tally to 51. What's more special is that he managed to score the goals against a formidable Spanish squad and, arguadbly, the world's best goalkeeper De Gea. He lit up the World Cup and gave an open challenge to Messi after stroking his chin while celebrating the first goal. It was an inkling that he's the G.O.A.T. – Greatest of all time.  Source: Reuters They are such fierce competitors that both of them up their game after seeing the other perform. Will Messi be able to give the world reasons to celebrate ecstatically, just like Ronaldo did last night? Or will the pressure weigh too heavily on him as Argentina face World Cup debutants Iceland up first? We hope for the former! Messi vs Ronaldo at the World Cups The legends are almost neck-to-neck as far as records are concerned -  Messi: Games: 15 Goals: 5 Assists: 3 Ronaldo: Games: 14 Goals: 6 Assists: 2 (Updated after last night's Spain vs Portugal game) Argentina play debutants Iceland today at 6:30 pm IST

It's been 10 years for me in this industry, little lethargy, a little chalta hai type attitude comes in. I will meet a light-minded person and fall madly, truly and deeply in love and just take it from there.”   I've been fan of alia before she became an actress â¤ð #ranlia #ranbirkapoor #aliabhatt @aliaabhatt @neetu54 #bollywood #bollywoodlovers #ranbiralia #aliaranbir A post shared by ranlia⤠(@ranliafc) on May 13, 2018 at 9:33am PDT   The way Ranbir has been talking about Alia of late, just makes us wonder if he has finally found his one true love, again?

Akshay Kumar's New 'Gold' Teaser Is Giving Us Goosebumps & Making Our Hearts Swell With Pride

Drenched in patriotism, the new teaser of Akshay Kumar's 'Gold' is finally here, and it is giving everyone goosebumps and a surge of patriotism as well. Saying that we are impressed would be an understatement because by far, this is the best movie teaser we have seen this year. (c) Excel Entertainment With every movie, Akshay Kumar keeps setting the benchmark higher and this teaser only proves that he can give any actor a run for their money. If you haven't seen the teaser yet, get ready to feel a rush of emotions. 200-300cr bhokne wale aaj apne star k liye praise dhoondh rahe hai

Consistently giving good cinemað⤠#StandUpForGold — AkshayKumar Da FANð (@GurmeetSingh42) June 15, 2018 The teaser begins with a statement which says, "Please stand up for the national anthem". While most of us wait to hear the familiar strains of our National Anthem, it begins with the British anthem 'God Save The Queen' instead. First few seconds and we are already unsettled. The 54-second clip clearly sets the fact straight showing how for 200 years, Indians were being forced to stand for the British national anthem, taking us back to colonial India and the British oppression.   (c) Excel Entertainment Soon we get a glimpse of Akshay Kumar and we just can't help but whistle. With a burning passion in his eyes, he is seen taking out the Indian national flag and that gives us an idea of his goal. The teaser then focuses on 'one man's dream' that 'made the British stand up for our anthem'. (c) Excel Entertainment Despite us already knowing the basic theme of the story, which is freedom from British oppression, there still is a sense of mystery as to how this one man will get the gold for India.. The teaser ends with "Vande Mataram” leaving us with millions of thoughts and unsaid emotions. (c) Excel Entertainment For those of you who don't know what 'Gold' is all about,  it is the story of a Bengali hockey player, who wants to win a gold medal for India, during the British rule. Taking to Twitter Akshay Kumar shared the new teaser on the public's demand. Directed by Reema Kagti, the film traces the journey of a hockey player and talks about what it meant to be patriotic during the pre-independence era. This will also be TV actor Mouni Roy's Bollywood debut. (c) Excel Entertainment Earlier, it was being said that 'Gold' is a biopic on former hockey player Balbir Singh Sr. However, clearing the air, Producer Ritesh Sidhwani stated in an interview that, “It is not a biopic. It is a completely fictional story but it is set against a real backdrop between 1933-48 India about what the country was, the sports...about hockey. It is not based on any character.” Check out the teaser here and let us know what you think:

David De Gea May Have Had A Terrible Outing Against Portugal But It's Not The End Of The Line

It's a familiar sight of footballers being criticised for their errors, especially when the player is a goalkeeper and lets in a few goals. Loris Karius endured continued criticism in the aftermath of the Champions League Final, and now there seems to be a flurry of criticism coming David de Gea's way after his performance against Portugal. David de Gea was playing in his first ever World Cup game and did not expect it to end the way it did. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick past the Manchester United shot-stopper, and of those, de Gea was heavily criticised for two of the goals. More than anything, fans were surprised at his errors, as it is so uncharacteristic of him. But he is human and very much likely to make a mistake or two or have a bad game for that matter. Source: Reuters Many keepers careers have ended or taken a dip following such performances, but de Gea is a different breed regarding mentality and personality. This is not his first error of such magnitude; he has made mistakes in the past which have let the opposing teams score goals. But judging by his overall quality and his class of goalkeeping, those mistakes are easily ignored and so will the ones against Portugal if de Gea improves his performances for Spain. Source: Reuters Penalties are a real tough one for any goalkeeper, so naturally one cannot blame de Gea for the goal. However, for the second, Ronaldo hit a straight shot at him with his left foot and in a moment of misjudgement or a lapse in concentration, he couldn't grip the ball and it went into the net. But the third goal was where he bottled it. At a crucial stage with Spain leading the game, Ronaldo steps up and expertly puts the ball in the net to score from a brilliant direct free-kick. De Gea could not do anything despite looking to dive, because his positioning was flawed right from the start. He positioned himself extremely off the direction Ronaldo was expected to kick.  Source: Reuters Ironically, de Gea, in the build-up to this World Cup is considered the best goalkeeper in the world, considering Manuel Neuer's injury lay off. But he did not play like one against Portugal. In fact, he looked short on confidence as well as nervous on such a big stage. The third goal, in particular, showed what a terrible game he was having on the night.  But these are expected to be normal for even high profile players when they play the World Cup. Despite the many tweets and pundits criticising him for his performance, this in no way is the end of the goalkeeper's time. De Gea is fully expected to recover from this wicked game, and there is no doubt he will continue to remain Spain's No. 1, at the World Cup or otherwise.

Cristiano Ronaldo Just Gave the Biggest Middle Finger to the World and All Those Who've Ever Doubted Him

Everyone knows that Cristiano Ronaldo does Cristiano Ronaldo things. However, as CR 7 was implicated of tax evasion by Spanish authorities, the troll army was ready to deride him yet again. And Cristiano Ronaldo made a mockery of his haters, for the millionth time by scoring a hat-trick against the nation whose judicial system had implicated him earlier in the day. Source: Reuters Make no mistake, Ronaldo is not a man born for the big occasion, he IS the big occasion. Spain might have had their flurry of superstars, but Portugal only had him to look up to. Their gamechanger, their talisman. On a day when you escape being imprisoned, you would normally keep a low profile and thank the Gods. But this is Cristiano Ronaldo we're talking about. As he stepped onto the field on Friday evening, he looked as unfazed as ever. He was up against his club team mates and close friends, who would seemingly know all the tricks he had up his sleeve. Just as the game had started and some of us were still grabbing our seats, Ronaldo, did his trademark stepover on Nacho, his Real Madrid team mate, and earned himself a penalty. And then there was only ever going to be one outcome. In just the 4th minute, he scored a penalty in Portugal's first match at Russia 2018. And he celebrates by rubbing his imaginary “GOATee” on his chin. Audacious, cheeky, brilliant. Source: Reuters However, as the game went on, Ronaldo cut a frustrated, lonesome figure up front as Spain had begun to impose themselves on the game. But, right at the stroke of half time, against the run of play, Ronaldo tried a hopeful shot against, arguably, the best goalkeeper in the world and it somehow results in a goal. Ronaldo, the ultimate poacher, quite simply, had the footballing Gods shining on him. Despite all his brilliance, Spain, after half-time, exerted themselves in a manner they're best known for. Goals from Diego Costa and Nacho meant Portugal were now trailing. With the way things had been going, there was only one man who could've changed the course of the game. And cometh the moment, cometh the man. As Portugal were given a free kick late in the game, we witnessed an all too familiar routine. The rolled up shorts, legs spread wide open on the ground, the deep breaths and a laser eye focussed at the goal. We all knew what he was going to do, and he did just that. A free kick rifled into the top corner with the Spanish goalkeeper not even attempting to stop it. A classic World Cup encounter culminated in Cristiano Ronaldo's moment of magic. What a player! What a man! Source: Reuters The World Cup has only just begun and Cristiano Ronaldo has already given us moments we will relive long after it is over. While the other half of football supporters and pundits continue to root for Messi as the G.O.A.T, he has a tough job on his hands if he is to catch his eternal rival. With 3 goals and powerful performance already in the bag, Ronaldo may well land either of the Golden Boot/Golden Ball and legitimately stake claim to the crown for the G.O.A.T.

The Major Talking Points From Portugal Vs Spain's Exciting 3-3 Draw

The stand-out fixture of the group stages lived up to all the pre-match expectations as Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick helped Portugal secure a draw against Spain in a six goal thriller. Julen Lopetegui's interim replacement Fernando Hierro was denied an opening match win, having seen his side twice come from a goal down before finally taking the lead through Nacho's sledge hammer strike.  Here are the talking points from a highly entertaining spectacle at Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi.  Ronaldo's night Source: Reuters Big players step up when the stakes are high. Ronaldo did more than just that as he sealed the 51st hat-trick of his career with a sublime free-kick that curled inside David De Gea's left-hand post. The match had looked all set and won for the La Roja at one point but the Portuguese star had other ideas. At 33 years and 130 days, Ronaldo is now the oldest man to score thrice in a World Cup game. Diego's firepower Source: Reuters Diego Costa scored two goals that put doubts over his understanding of the Spanish philosophy to bed, once and for all. The Ex-Chelsea man experienced an uneventful outing in the last World Cup, where he seemed to have been rushed to the Spain set-up. This time around, the robust, talismanic presence of Costa troubled the Portuguese backline all night. His goals, the first one in particular, characterised everything about an outstanding individual display. It was a sheer mix of strength, awareness and accuracy as he feinted his way around the Selecção das Quinas defenders before firing an unstoppable driven strike past Rui Patricio.  Isco magic Source: Reuters The boy from Benalmadena symbolised everything that was exemplary about Spain, and he wasn't far from an early goal of the tournament contender either, with his first-half thunderbolt that rattled the crossbar. He operated in the No.10 position just behind Costa, but was given a license to roam allowing him to orchestrate attacks both laterally and vertically. Be it breaching through the opposing midfield lines with precise passing, or troubling them with his solo runs, Isco ran the show for the 2010 champions.

5 Incredible Statistics From Portugal Vs Spain Last Night That Prove What A Great Game It Was

It was the Cristiano Ronaldo show on display in Sochi last night. He scored a hat-trick vs Spain, a team he had never scored against. With a penalty, a shot from just outside the box and a free kick, the 33-year-old announced himself as an early contender for the Golden Boot in 2018. Here are 5 records set when the Iberian rivals played their opening fixture in Group B: Spain's abysmal opening match record continues Source: Reuters Spain has either lost or drawn their last three opening games at a World Cup including 2018. 2014 saw them lose an incredible 5-1 to a Netherlands side which had that special Van Persie goal and Robben marauding down the wings. Four years earlier, they lost to Switzerland by a goal and went on to become the only World Champions to lose their opening fixture. Portugal's fastest goal since 1966 Source: Reuters Ronaldo's 4th minute penalty conversion was Portugal's fastest ever goal in a World Cup since 1966. 52 years ago, Jose Augusto scored in the very first minute in a 3-1 win against Hungary, a tournament where they finished third under the legendary Eusebio. The first 3-3 draw since 2002 Source: Reuters The game in Sochi ended a 3-3 draw between Spain and Portugal and this has happened for the first time since 2002. Back then, Uruguay and Senegal played out a 3-3 tie in the group stage, with the African side going on to reach the quarterfinals. Ronaldo is the oldest player to score a hat-trick Source: Reuters At 33 years and 130 days, the Portuguese star overtook Netherlands forward Rob Rensenbrink, who was 31 when he scored a hat-trick against Iran in 1978. Ronaldo now has 51 career hat-tricks and also scored the 51st hat-trick at World Cup's.

10 Ways To Save A Dying Friendship Before It's Too Late

Last week I wrote a piece on how college friendships don't necessarily last forever because of how life gets in the way. Of course, I expected people to bash me up in the comment section for daring to question the eternal bond that bros share. But what I didn't expect was the avalanche of friends tagging each other left, right and centre, begging to promise to stay friends for the rest of their life. This led me to wonder that, of course, friendship is precious and hard to find, but it is equally hard to maintain it. It is a sadness of a whole different kind when you realise that someone who was once your brother-from-another-mother, is slowly edging away from you. Friendship is not as simple as it used to be. Gone are the days when singing “ye dosti hum nahi todenge” at the top of our lungs when we were kids was all it took to seal our bond with our bro. Things are different now. You actually have to take out time from your busy life and be there for your friend. You need to assure them constantly that they are an important part of your life and you simply cannot take them for granted, or else they start drifting away slowly from you, and you won't even realise when they completely disappear from your life. So, in case you are finding your best bud, your 'bro for life' suddenly pulling back from you and drifting away, here are 10 ways that can help you in bringing them back: 1. Ask Yourself If You Still Want Them In Your Life Sometimes we remain in touch or stay friends with someone out of obligation for old time's sake. But, that is not the right reason to keep someone in your life. Ask yourself if this is the same friend you met all those years ago. I know it sounds brutal, but it is a necessary step before trying to bring them back into your life. 2. Figure Out What Caused The Gap In The First Place Was it a really bad fight? Was it over a girl? Or did long distance just take the spark out of your friendship? Figure this out first of all. Because, if it was a really trivial thing, then maybe you can move on.  But if it was something major that caused a divide between you and your bro, then you need to make some tough decisions. 3. Text/Call Your Friend & Get Everything Off Your Chest You know you have been avoiding them because you have been feeling guilty for not staying in touch as much as you should. So stop torturing yourself and give him a call and just pour your heart out. Once you break that wall, things will become much smoother. 4. Take A Walk Down Memory Lane & Relive Those Golden Days I often drift into memories from my college and school days when I'm missing my friends. Having fun at Sports Day and the Annual Day function, being both terrified and thrilled at the Fresher's Day party, introducing myself to my new classmates in college and the joy of finding new friends. All these memories just bring a wave of nostalgia and I can't help but call or text my old pals. Try it. 5. Catch Up Over Drinks There is nothing in the world a pint of chilled beer can't fix. In case you feel like you have not spoken to your bud in a while, all you need to do is catch up over drinks and voila! It won't even feel like you haven't spoken in a while. Of course, drink sensibly and don't get drunk out of your skull. You'll actually want to remember your evening. 6. Show Your Friend You Actually Care About Him Stop being a jerk and start giving a damn about your friend. He is not someone you can take for granted. Of course, he is going to drift away if you only call him when you need something. So please, try and be there for your friend. Good friends are not easy to come by, so you need to cherish them. 7. Find Something You & Your Bro Love To Do & Just Go For It It could be anything, from going on weekly drives to monthly getaways. Or a visit to an old age home on your birthday or even getting together at someone's place every weekend. Plan out something that ensures you meet your best bros as much as you can. Calls and texts have their own place, but there is nothing like actually meeting in person and having a ball. 8. Talk Often About Being In Each Other's Life Even When You're Old © Pinterest In case you have seen 'How I Met Your Mother', you will remember how certain episodes showed the characters often picturing scenarios where they are together even when they are old with grandchildren. And we know how close their gang was, all through the way. Talking about being in each other's lives in the future, not only brings you closer to your friend, but also assures you that you will have a friend for the rest of your life. 9. Make A Pact & Swear On It Make a promise, an 'unbreakable oath' of sorts. No, I'm not talking about being there to help your friend throw up after a drinking session, I'm talking about a pact for a lifetime. It could be from being there to watch each other's kids grow up or taking a world tour together when you are 60. Something that will only solidify your bond with your bro. 10. Apologise Get over your pride and just do it, man. You know you made a mistake and it is only your ego that is making you push your friend away. Get over yourself, pick up that phone and say you are sorry. It could also be the other person's mistake, in that case, don't be a bonehead and just sit and sulk about it. Talk to him and help him see his fault. Once he sees that you actually want to save your friendship, he will start seeing you with different eyes. Guys, let me be very honest here. Having good and true friends who are ready to take a bullet for you and are actually there for you in time of need, is nothing but God's gift. If you have such people in your life, do not treat like crap and take them for granted. You know that saying “you don't know a good thing till it's gone”? Well, it is true in every sense. If you can fight for your parents and your girlfriend, how about fighting to keep your best friend in your life as well?

Putin May Never Appear On The Forbes Rich List But His Personal Wealth Is Bigger Than Bill Gates

Russian President Vladimir Putin is considered to be one the most influential politicians in the world and if recent estimates by experts are to be believed, then he's the world's richest too. The Russian President has been ruling the country for almost 14 years now and it is being estimated that his personal wealth has touched $200 billion, even though nobody actually knows how much the Russian President might actually be worth. © Reuters These new figures were first corroborated by Russian fund manager and author Bill Browder, who told the International Business times why Putin's personal wealth is fattening year by year. "After 14 years in power of Russia, and the amount of money that the country has made, and the amount of money that hasn't been spent on schools and roads and hospitals and so on, all that money is in property, bank — Swiss bank accounts —shares, hedge funds, managed for Putin and his cronies,” Browder said. If these estimates are true, then the Russian President would come out on top as the world's richest person with wealth almost three times that of Bill Gates. It is rumoured that Putin has stakes in state energy monopolies and commodity trader Gunvor. He also owns a superyacht Olympia, gifted by Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich said to worth over $37 million. Apart from the super luxurious yacht, Putin also has access to over 58 planes and helicopters as well as 20 palaces and retreats all over Russia. © Twitter Even though the President in 2015 had declared that his yearly income was just £95,000, a dossier document prepared by Boris Nemstov, a Russian adversary said that the private jet used by the Russian President itself boasts of a toilet worth $62000.  While it is difficult to understand what goes on behind the scenes and how much the Russian President is actually worth, it is safe to assume that Putin is one multi-billionaire who will never be featured on the Forbes rich list.

It's A Myth: Wearing A 'Langot' While Weight Training Doesn't Prevent Testicular Hernia

Just like all other advices, this was one of the strong advices given to us by our superiors, i.e. to always wear jockstraps/supporters or as known in the local gym as 'langot', while performing any workout. What's the best part? Guys still wear these supporters fearing the misinformation that they'll get hernia or Hydrocele. The myth goes like: if you don't wear the supporter, 'it will damage your reproductive organs'. Thanks to science, all of these are nothing but myths and fallacies. Groin Protection For A Purpose © YouTube Now, there are a variety of protections for your private parts. There are L-Guards and then there is a 'langot or lion cloth' worn by wrestlers in India, primarily the ones fighting on sand; and there is the conventional supporter or jockstrap, which is worn by people of most other sports or by regular gym freaks. But the L-Guards are worn by players to protect their private parts from a grievous injury, from either a fast ball coming towards them and hitting them in the genital area, or the damage they can sustain while engaged in a grappling or fighting sport. But for rest of the people, it rarely happens. For rest of the people, your normal well-fitted underwear will do the job. They do exactly what a supporter does, i.e. keep the stuff, high & tight. The Jockstrap's Invention The international jockstrap/supporter, it first came into being in the western world in the 18th century. In 1874, the Chicago sporting goods company Sharp & Smith made the very first jockstrap to provide support for the cyclists riding a bumpy ride on the streets of Boston. © YouTube Then there is the famous South Asian Langot, also called as Kaupinam, worn traditionally in India and its neighbouring nations. People in Indian subcontinent, have been wearing the langot since the Vedic times, over 5,000 years ago. All the rishis and yogis used the langot during their ascetic or yogic practices. Does A 'Langot' Prevent Hernia? © YouTube The biggest myth associated with a supporter is that it prevents hernia, a myth that has been debunked medically long back. Hernia is a condition where the abdominal wall is weakened due to relatively high pressure consistently, the result of which is a protrusion of the fatty tissue through the weakly affected spot. It was thought, that since the supporters prevent excessive bouncing and heavy blows during the exercises, it greatly reduces risk of hernia. But the supporter won't do anything in such a case.  On the other hand, there are contrary beliefs like the excessive pressure the tight jockstrap puts on the testes could actually lead to testicular hernia. This may be a possibility, but again I haven't found anything in terms of research on this. Does A Langot Prevent Swelling Of The Scrotum? © YouTube Another myth is that getting Hydrocele, if a supporter is not used. No, this is simply a myth. There is never been any form of evidence or report proving this. Hydrocele is basically a swelling in the scrotum due to the collection of fluid in them. Scrotum is the thin sac that holds the testes. Hydrocele is commonly seen in new-born babies, and generally corrects itself automatically by age one. In case of older men and boys, hydrocele can occur due to an injury or infection within the scrotum. Hydrocele generally is not painful, but still the doctor's intervention may be required.  Back during the ancestral days, and even now in almost every tribe in the world, the men either wear nothing for the genital support, or wear a very loose lion cloth (a loincloth is a one-piece garment supported by a belt, which simply covers the genitals). Their testes are always hanging and moving freely. And, for the common observation of all of us, the tribal men run and sprint much more than any of us can do on our stupid treadmills. They run on all uneven and hard surfaces, carry heavy loads, like dead animals for long distances after hunting, jump, crawl, squat, climb, roll, play and do a number of physical activities daily, without ever worrying about hernias, or hydrocele. So here, this is as logical as it gets!

'Shaveducking' Is A New Dating Trend Gathering Storm And We Want To Warn All The Men About It

There's a new dating trend out and about and it's proven to be mildly fatal for men who don't have beards. And also for men who do. Yeah, you read that right. There's a new trend called 'shaveducking' and it's catching on like the plague and it definitely involves your facial hair. How you ask? Well. shaveducking is when a woman just might be hot for you depending on your facial hair, and not on anything else. So, basically, she's not really attracted to you, as much as she might be to your facial hair and would like you just on the basis of that. So, if you look like KRK without facial hair and like Shahid Kapoor with a beard, then you know what to do. But, listen up guys, I am with you on this and I feel that if I was being picked up by a woman on the basis of just my beard, it would be an absolute shame and quite shallow of them TBH. © Pexels So, to avoid shaveducking becoming a thing, let's just recognise these shaveduckers and say no to them, when they just want to feel up your beard. Let's choose the ladies who actually want to find out what lies underneath that beard. Here are some signs to recognise if she's on her way to shaveducking you! She Swipes On Tinder Because Of Your Facial Hair Yeah, try and find out what made her swipe, if you have the slightest hint of her shaveducking you will know in an instant if the first thing she mentions is your 'beard'. Ask Her About Clean Shaven Guys Ask her what her stance is on guys who are clean shaven. If she cringes at their mere existence, you know why you're in her life! Are There Any Conditions? If she's laid down some conditions for you and one of them is to never shave you beard, then you're being shaveducked by her royally. I mean, what kind of a condition is that in the first place? She Doesn't Take Too Well To Your Shaved Look If you've shaved while you're around her and she detests your look after, why're you even with her? Seriously, she's just with you because of your beard, bro. She'll Keep Praising Your Beard If she constantly praises your beard, you know she's signalling you to never shave it. It's her way of making sure you don't shave it because she loves it so. Just shave whenever you feel like shaving . Long unkempt beards are a breeding ground for flies. I hope you know? Well, if you notice these 5 prominent signs in someone you're remotely interested in, hanging out with or have just met through Tinder or otherwise, you know what the girls in for. It's your beard! If you have one and she's not gonna be with you or be there in the longer run, if then what's the point of shallow dating right? Remember, hair today, gone tomorrow just like she's here today and gone tomorrow.

Here's How To Crack The Tinder Code & Get At Least One Match Every Single Day

You're probably here because you want to know how to get a match on Tinder. It's alright. We understand. Been there, done that. You have come to the right place. Here are some tricks which would make your profile more presentable. Pictures The first picture matters the most. Put something of good quality and appealing background, like, mountains or sea. Just make sure your upper half of body is clearly visible. Don't put a group picture or a selfie. Also, avoid sunglasses in the first picture. via GIPHY Looking hot after that rigorous workout and clicked a shirtless mirror selfie? Well, don't put it on tinder. 'Nudity on tinder is directly proportional to dumbness,' this is what most women think. Put a picture in nicely fitting clothes if you want to show off your body. via GIPHY Don't make all six pictures mundane. Be versatile; put one with your dog (neighbour's dog would also do, just make sure you know its name), one when you're on a trip and one in formals (office picture would also do). Here you want to show you're full of life! Ask your friends about your best pictures. If you're too shy to do that, use the photofeeler website to know which picture looks best from other people's perspective. It's free! Bio This is the Amit Shah of Tinder (second most important thing).  Don't leave it blank unless you're Ranbir Kapoor. Write something funny, but don't pick up from the first link of google search. Keep it short, quirky and witty. Funny one-liners like “The only 'F' word out of a woman's mouth that scares me is 'Fine!'” works. Just write something which would make her chuckle. via GIPHY After a good opening line, mention your interests in short sentences or in one word. Don't write an autobiography. 'Fun, easy going, traveller' works but it's quite clichéd unless your pictures show it. Remember, pictures should reflect your hobbies and interests. Writing 'Sapiosexual' is a BIG NO. Trust me on this one. 'Not here for hook-ups' is also a no-no. If you genuinely aren't there for hook-ups, write 'looking for something stable.' Work & Education This is the part where you can show off the most and it really matters. Put out your college tag if it's a renowned college. (IIM and IIT tags work like a charm). But you might want to keep the column blank if it's a private college where you don't even need an entrance test to get admission. Write down the name of the company. It doesn't matter where you work. As John Lennon said, “A working class hero is something to be.” You have better chances of getting a match if your profile shows that you're working. via GIPHY Show off your designation, but don't lie. While writing Assistant Manager is good, but you would get caught eventually if you're not one. You can play with words here though. For instance, if you're a software engineer, you can write Technical Specialist. Swipes Don't swipe randomly on every profile. It decreases your chances to get a match. Tinder might put you under bot category and not show your profile to other users. 30-70% swipe right rate is considered ideal. via GIPHY Take your time before you swipe. Open the profile and thoroughly check out pictures and bio. See if you genuinely find her interesting. Again, take your time before swiping right. Be aware of fake profiles. Restrain yourself from swiping right on a profiles with no picture or just one picture. It could be a bot or some guy trolling people. via GIPHY Last but not the least, be yourself! Women catch it when you fake it. Don't try too hard but then don't act aloof. May the force be with you!

5 TV Series 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S.' Lovers Should Binge Watch Over The Weekend

So no one told you life after F.R.I.E.N.D.S. was gonna be this way? We know it sucks after you watch that last episode. It's like you suddenly don't have anything to do anymore. Well, we can help you with that void. Here are 5 TV series which you can binge watch with a beer in hand and fries on your lap: Two And A Half Men If there's a show which can make you laugh at every dialogue, it has to be 'Two and a Half Men'. It's a story of a womanizer who is lucky enough to be rich, handsome, charming and funny. Yeah, the complete package! Women want to be with him, men want to be him. © Warner Bros. TV Distribution The story starts when his lifestyle takes a funny twist as his miser brother and adorable nephew come to live with him. How he has to curb his Caligula adventures, live with the brother he was never fond of and teach his nephew a thing or two about life is purely amusing. Though the show takes a toll when Ashton Kutcher replaces Charlie Sheen as a lead but first 8 seasons are just too good. We recommend you watch first 8 seasons at least. Seinfeld Simply put, this show has a great sense of humor and you've got to have one to understand the comedy. © Sony Pictures Television The story revolves around a standup comedian, Jerry Seinfeld, and his three not-so-normal friends. One of them, Kramer, is jobless, socially awkward and weird. Another one, George, has a job, has fine people skills but is weird most of the times. The third one, Elaine, ex-girlfriend of Jerry, is… weird too. A sitcom with 8.9 IMDB rating must have something to offer! Coupling This is similar to F.R.I.E.N.D.S. as it also portrays day to day life of six friends. But here, they don't have that great a bond and that's what makes it funny. The show is full of discussions on *** and relationships and we get to see the humorous incidents revolving around either of the aforementioned topics. © BBC This is a mini British series so a great accent and funny punch lines like “Why is it that if a woman thinks something is a turn-on, then it's erotica. If a man does, then it's porn' will be on the plate. The show basically shows same things from a man's and woman's perspective. Californication This is not an all-comedy show but has a great storyline nevertheless. It's a story of a fucked up guy who somehow lands in fucked up situations and gets out of it by using his charm. The story revolves around an alcoholic writer who still loves his 'baby mama' even though they are separated. © Showtime It's full of ***, drugs and rock & roll. Simply put, strictly for the 18+ audience. It's a perfect blend of comedy and romance which you can watch while drinking your whiskey in this rainy weather. Just try not to call your ex after getting drunk and listening to some exceptional romantic dialogues like “At the end of the day, it's all about her. It has always been about her.” That '70s Show The show has Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Laura Prepon. That would be considered a huge star cast nowadays. © 20th Century Fox It revolves around the everyday life of six teenagers and their holy circle of pot. It is a magnificent show as every character delivers its best. A must watch! So, what are you waiting for? Go buy some booze, turn on the TV and enjoy the weekend!

Here Are The 10 Best Video Games Shown Off At E3 This Year & We Are Excited AF

The colossal convention E3 is upon us and this is the most exciting part of the year for gamers out there. E3 2018 has been filled with new announcements, trailers, and reveals.  There are so many good games that it's easy to miss out on an important title from the event.  We have compiled a list of the most exciting games that were revealed or shown-off this week! Keep in mind, the order of these games is random and the numbers do not mean its ranking.  1. Fallout 76:  © Bethesda Softworks 'Fallout 76' was first revealed before E3, but Bethesda finally rolled out some solid details during its event -- it is now confirmed that the game is only online and multi-player centric.  It is a prequel to the other games in the 'Fallout' Series where the player is cast as one of the first survivors of the retro-future nuclear apocalypse. The map is four times the size of 'Fallout 4', and it's all rendered with new terrain technology that should allow for more varied and interesting environs.  2. Last of Us Part II:  © Naughty Dog  It's been five years since the first iteration of the game was released and it was lauded for its storytelling and tense action. The trailer of the new game perfectly shows Ellie (one of the main protagonists) at a party with friends one minute, and silently taking out bandits the next. The animation has improved leaps and bounds and the physics engine has been seriously cranked to churn out impressive new manoeuvres like dodge mechanic, or using foliage for cover and bodies as a shield.  3. Assassin's Creed: Odyssey © Ubisoft This game has already been leaked on multiple occasions in the past few months, but it has finally made an official debut at Ubisoft's E3 2018 press conference. The franchise is sticking to ancient times, moving from Egypt to Greece this time around. A lot of new RPG elements have been added like choosable characters, romance options, and a branching storyline. The game is scheduled to arrive in October.  4. Wolfenstein: Youngblood: © Bethesda Softworks After 'Wolfenstein: The New Order' and 'Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus' this game is back and there are way more Nazis to kill. Series protagonist BJ Blazkowicz is being succeeded by his daughters Jess and Soph as they search for their father in Paris. There isn't a lot of detail available right now but the game is expected to be launched in 2019 and is suitable for playing on both, single as well as multiplayer mode.  5. Ghosts on Tsushima: © Sucker Punch The protagonist, Jin, is alive during the invasion of Japan by the Mongols and confronts several of these marauders as they terrorize the locals. The developer, Sucker Punch, has exhibited Japanese combat systems including a Katana. The gameplay also boasts a portion of stealth gameplay too, along with an AI system in place as you fight with your ally to secure the objective. The trailer shows Jin infiltrating a temple, with some suitably exciting swordplay.  6. Spider Man:  © Insomniac Games Insomniac Games has brought everything you'd want from a superhero game -- all the main characters, a fully open NYC map, a plethora of powers and ample crime to fight. The best part about this game is that it is based on the original storyline from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The game is scheduled to release on 7th of September this year.  7. Division 2:  © Ubisoft This game is based in Washington DC where a "dollar flu" has managed to wipe out most of the city and other parts of the country. This is when the Division arrives. At first, you'll have to make your way to the affected region and keep hostile factions in check. The game will be available in March 2019 followed by three free DLC episodes coming out in the year to keep players coming back for more.  8. Resident Evil 2 Remake:  © Capcom It's been 20 years, but ''Resident Evil 2' is finally getting a remake on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The remake of 'Resident Evil 2' will trade the fixed cameras of the original game for a third-person over-the-shoulder view, similar to more recent 'Resident Evil' games. Players will still be able to play as both Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy, as they explore a zombie-infested Raccoon City. We don't know how much of the original game will be retained. The game will be available from 29 January 2019.   9. Gears 5:  © Epic Games The next instalment in the 'Gears of War' franchise is coming next year. There is also a PC strategy and mobile game on the way for a franchise that has been dormant and ignored for a few years. The gameplay shows off some new enemies and odd new melee weapons for players to wield alongside their massive guns. It will have support for 4K Ultra HD resolution, HDR, and will run at 60 frames per second. Like all first-party Xbox games, 'Gears 5' will be available on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 when it does release next year. 10. Doom Eternal: © Bethesda Softworks  The last reboot of 'Doom' came out in 2016 and it was a raging success. At the end of 'Doom', the Doom Slayer was banished back to Hell by Samuel Hayden, a cyborg with a boring name. The new game mostly takes place after the betrayal and takes the storyline forward. A brief teaser on YouTube shows a destroyed city, rife with the distinct demons of "DOOM," before the rage-filled supersoldier from the last game appears.

5 Grooming Tricks To Steal From Your Dad This Father's Day

It's almost like daddies have a raffle-ticket to an incredible grooming routine. They know what to do, how to do it best, to look like the most terrific version of themselves. Agreed, they could be a little ol'school and very stubborn/assertive about the regime they've been following since decades, but that's exactly what makes them fathers — idols to look up to. For Father's Day this year, we're listing down 5 vital grooming tricks every guy must learn from their daddy today. Daddies are the best, after all.  © Viral Bhayani 1. A side-part will always work. No matter what our fathers are inspired by daily, there's no shying away from the fact that side parts are their holy grail. Just a thin comb (not a bristle brush) and they're always ready to hard part their hair (no hair gel included). But while you may think of this as a formal move (not to be worn with shorts etc), let's inform you: a side part, primarily, adds a lot of refinement to your over-all appearance and if parted sharp, really helps define your facial features better. And we'd say, there's no harm in embracing it every day. 2. Taming over fading.  If their barber-visits are any indication, daddies go for trims quite often. Sometimes once a month, sometimes once in 20 days. Reason? They enjoy the process of taming their mop. In their opinion, it's better to keep your mop in control, than letting it turn awry and then hurrying to get a quick fade. Takeaway: fades are great, but they're secondary techniques. As a crucial measure, ensure your hair's always tamed. © Instagram/Amitabh Bachchan 3. Your greys aren't for concealing. Though hair colouring is a popular phenomenon, it isn't the most common among men who are into age-old, classic grooming techniques. For them, it's all about embracing their greys and ensuring they remain healthy for long. Is a hair colour necessary? Go au naturel, we'd say. 4. Moisturisers over a post-shave balm? As opposed to the modern-age ideas of post shave balms or after shaves, a lot of fathers, even today, prefer massing a moisturizer deep into their facial skin post a shave. Reason? As opposed to post shave balms (that dry up faster), moisturisers go deep into the skin, hydrate your skin and keep it locked for a longer duration. Papa was right, clearly. © Shemaroo 5. Single-blade razors for the win. Contrary to multi-blade razors, single-blade razors aren't the best at gliding against tricky shaving surfaces. However, they cut sharper, better, easier (so you take less time) and well, don't leave you with major razor bumps. But now you'd say: but single-blade razors can really test your patience while shaving an oddly-positioned strand. Then, my man, turn to shaving every day (another dad-approved grooming move). By doing so, you'd never have strands growing in strange areas.

Why Spain vs Portugal Is The Real Opening Match Of The 2018 FIFA World Cup

World Cup openers are supposed to be fiery encounters that not only get the fans adrenaline high, but also make the neutrals well up with emotions. The Russian goal fest against Saudi Arabia did get the World Cup 2018 started on a good note, but it was never supposed to be a great display of footballing talent. When it comes to a hotly contested match, all eyes will be on Portugal vs Spain – one of the most anticipated games of the group stages. It is the kind of game that we'd have loved to open the World Cup with. Source: Reuters While Portugal will be looking to capitalize on Spain's coach crisis, the Spanish armada will want to brush aside any disheartening vibes that have been building up over the past couple of days. They would be looking for a chance to show the world that the hallmark of a true champion is standing up during times of crisis. The Iberian derby will see the presence of some of the greatest players in modern football, with 5-time Ballon D'Or winner Ronaldo captaining the Portuguese side and many Real Madrid and Barcelona stalwarts such as Iniesta, Ramos, and Isco playing for the Spaniards.  Source: Reuters Spain's interim coach Fernando Hierro, who was a Real Madrid star himself, will certainly have plans to stop Ronaldo, but when it comes to the midfield battle, the Spaniards have a clear edge. The current Spanish midfield is being hailed as the golden generation of midfielders, and one that will give the coach selection dilemma.   Previous Encounters The Iberian derby has taken place 35 times, and Spain have by far been the better team with 21 wins as compared to Portugal's 6. In their last game at the FIFA World Cup 2010, Spain edged past Portugal 1-0.  Source: Reuters Likely Formation Spain will line up 4-3-3.  Portugal are expected to line up 4-4-2.

Portugal: Ronaldo & Co Eager To Prove Their 2016 Euro Triumph Wasn't A Fluke At The 2018 FIFA World Cup

At the turn of the century, Portugal managed to escape years of footballing anonymity and has since appeared in every major international tournament. Having boasted the likes of Luis Figo, Deco, Cristiano Ronaldo in their starting XI's over the years, one would imagine that Portugal can always be a safe bet to perform at the grandest stage. However, it's one of the teams that's caused punters and bookkeepers to lose a lot of money. Simply because, there has been no pattern to their success. Source: Reuters History Successes in the earlier part of the century were followed by ignominious World Cup exits in 2010 and 2014. However, just when everyone had lowered their expectations of them, they sprung up with the biggest surprise of all by winning Euro 2016, cruelly denying France a victory on home turf. A script eerily similar to the Euro 2004 final, when Portugal found themselves on the receiving end. Under lowered expectations, Portugal had well and truly left a mark on the world of football.  As pundits continued to decipher the shock victory, a consensus had emerged that the Portuguese manager had built a strong and rigid defense, given that the attack was marshalled by a well-known entity called Cristiano Ronaldo. Source: Reuters Current Form Santos' men carried their momentum and proved to be an extremely tough opposition to beat as they lost just twice in 2017. However, since the turn of the year, the cracks have begun to appear in the Portuguese defense. Out of 4 matches played in 2018, Portugal have won just once, against Egypt, thanks to two injury time goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, drawn twice, and lost once to Netherlands, having conceded three goals in that match. Source: Reuters If their Euro 2016 win exuded confidence in the neutrals, their recent run of form dampens the mood. Critics will rightly point to an ageing defense, consisting of Jose Fonte, Pepe and Bruno Alves, who are 34, 35 and 36 respectively and past their best years. Portugal's defense, although well organised from a tactical perspective, may well serve as its Achilles' heel. Expectations Assessing Portugal's chances at the World Cup seems as hard as ever. While, the attacking aspect seems to have taken care of itself, it is the defense that should give Santos sleepless nights. Compared player to player, Spain are a superior side on paper, while Morocco and Iran, will be no pushovers in Group B.  Source: Reuters However, given the wealth of talent and title winning experience in squad, Portugal are likely to get through this group, and anything less than a run till the quarter finals will be considered disappointing.  Squad Given their recent success, one would imagine that Fernando Santos would stick to the same youthful side of 2016. However, surprisingly, Santos has axed 10 players from that squad with the biggest casualties being the Young Player of the Tournament in 2016 Renato Sanches, Andre Gomes, Eliseu and Nani (who has 100 caps btw), all of whom have had indifferent, if not miserable domestic seasons. Source: Reuters They have deservedly been replaced by the likes of Bernardo Silva, Gelson Martins, Goncalo Guedes and Andre Silva. Their selections clearly depict that Santos is not afraid of making bold decisions and is ready to put his faith in youth and form. Moreover, Santos is likely to rely heavily on Bernardo Silva, who offers creativity, slick one touch passing and long range shooting from midfield, something Portugal have been accused of lacking in the last two years.  Above all, it is Silva's ability to operate from both, midfield and forward positions which makes him so indispensable to this squad. He comes on the back of two title winning campaigns with Monaco and Manchester City, and it is this match winning mentality which Portugal will need if they are to succeed in Russia. Source: Reuters In spite of all the youth, Portugal will look towards their talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo to lead the team. Come the end of the year, he will be taking part in his yearly ceremony at the Ballon D'Or. But, few would've expected him to be there at the turn of the year. As critics continued to write him off, Ronaldo, yet again, proved them wrong with a spectacular run of form in the La Liga and the Champions League and finished the season with 44 goals and yet another Champions League. If Portugal are to succeed, he must serve as their inspiration on the pitch. As for anyone doubting his leadership qualities, one only needs to be reminded of his performance from the dugout in the Euro 2016 final when he cheered, screamed and encouraged the players on the pitch to step up in his stead, after injury had forced him off.

Ranbir Kapoor Wants To Work With Ex Deepika's BF Ranveer Singh On A Movie Like 'Karan Arjun'

No matter how many movies released this year, the first half was owned by Ranveer Singh for his exceptional portrayal of mad king Alauddin Khilji, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat'. And if the rumours are anything to go by, then the second half of the year too will be pretty much owned by him. Although the movie received mixed reactions, Bollywood lovers stood unanimously in favour of this being Ranveer's best performance so far.  But, after the release of the jaw-dropping trailer of 'Sanju', things changed and so did people's interest. What was meant to be a movie that will take us through the life of Sanjay Dutt has now become a movie about “Who did it better: Sanjay Dutt or Ranbir Kapoor?” And for this, the entire credit goes to Ranbir Kapoor for looking so convincing.  Fox Star Studios Now while the two actors are doing great in their own respective acting careers and possibly two of the best actors in Bollywood right now, they have never come together in any movie. Call it lack of an interesting script for them, their personal equations (in the past) or just the fact that the directors never thought of it; but there's no denying that we all have been secretly wishing for the two to come together in a movie.  Star World And we guess we are not the only ones wishing for it, Ranbir Kapoor too thinks on the similar lines. Reportedly, in a recent conversation with Rajeev Masand, the actor said that he is a big fan of Ranveer and wants to work with him in a movie that's similar to 'Karan Arjun' or 'Andaz Apna Apna'. He said, “To cast two actors who have their own sensibilities is very hard because both have to like the material, it can't just be another project. But I really want to work with him also because I am a big fan of his work. I thought he was spectacular in Padmaavat and every other thing that he has done.”    He also spoke about Ranveer's acting prowess and his energy. “Every advertisement he does, he stands out, his energy stands out…his talent speaks so much. So, I want to do a film with him but it has to be the right film. It could be like a 'Karan Arjun' or a 'Andaz Apna Apna' or a 'Deewar', it could be any genre but it has to be something that both od us connect to and like,” he said. To all the directors - Guys, are you listening? Now that even Ranbir wants to do a movie, can we please get one soon.

Spain: La Roja Looking To Bury The Ghosts Of 2014 At The FIFA World Cup This Year

'La Furia Roja' or 'The Red Fury' are no strangers to success at the grandest stage. After years of perennial underachievement, the Spanish formed an indomitable unit filled with world class talent in each position as they won three tournaments back to back in 2008, 2010 and 2012. Their group stage exit in the 2014 World Cup shocked the world, journalists and pundits were quick to write them off as a superpower of the yesteryears.

More fuel was added to these premature prophecies after the Spanish had an underwhelming Euro 2016 campaign. However, as a new generation has stepped up to the fold, those who were quick to write off the Spanish may be caught eating their own words.   Reuters As Julen Lopetegui took over from Vicente Del Bosque in 2016, it wasn't met with much fanfare or excitement. However, little did the world know that the Spanish FA had perfectly executed a succession plan years in the making. Lopetegui, who, prior to his appointment, had spent 4 years with the Spanish youth teams, was quick to instil faith in those he had previously coached, and shed the old guard for the new.

The likes of Thiago, Isco and Koke, replaced Cesc Fabregas and Pedro, and they were quick to repay the manager's confidence. Such has been the dominance of this Spanish side, that they are unbeaten since their loss to Italy in Euro 2016. In 19 games since Euro 2016, the Spanish have drawn 6 and won 13, and scored a remarkable 60 goals while conceding just 13 goals. By any measure, this Spanish side is one of the favourites to lift the trophy on 15th July. Reuters However, the most alarming fact about this team is that they boast a world cup winning squad consisting of players who have NOT been selected for the world cup. The 4 of the 5 Spanish players at Chelsea, consisting of Cesc Fabregas, Pedro, Marcos Alonso and Alvaro Morata have not made the cut. Neither have Hector Bellerin, Juan Bernat, Marc Bartra, Vitolo and Javi Martinez.

Most, if not all of these players have the calibre to represent any other international side in the world, but not this Spanish team. Amongst those who have made the cut, David De Gea, the world's best goalkeeper at the moment is an undoubted starter. As are football's eternal bastards in Sergio Ramos, who will captain the side, and Gerard Pique, both of whom will marshal their defence. They will be flanked by the speedy and ever reliable duo of Dani Carvajal and Jordi Alba.

Cesar Azpilicueta, arguably the Premier League's best defender, has championed each of the back 4 positions and is more than just a capable backup. The midfield, presents an entirely different conundrum altogether. The Spanish have always oozed of creative options from midfield, and this year is no different. Reuters Sergio Busquets and Thiago Alcantara will serve as deep lying playmakers, who are imperious in their passing and possess the game intelligence to cut the opposition's passing lines. Assisting them, in the tiki taka and the high press play are likely to be Isco, Andres Iniesta and David Silva, each of whom can strike daggers in the hearts of any defence and any point of time during the game. David Silva and Andres Iniesta, two legends of the game, who are almost certainly playing their last world cup, will look to hurt the opposition with their silky movement. Finally, in the No. 9 position, is another footballing thug in Diego Costa, who will look to bully opposition defenders with his physical play.

In the event that any one of these players is injured, Spain's fluid style of play means that the likes of Saul, Marco Asensio, Koke, Lucas Vazquez and Iago Aspas can come in and fill a variety of positions. The reassurance of a strong bench, the world class talent on display, the experience in the side, and a good form coming into the tournament, all of these things form the perfect recipe for a World Cup winning squad which might set the standard for the rest of the teams. With everything pointing in the right direction, an exit prior to the semi-finals would be considered a major disappointment. Squad Goalkeepers: David De Gea, Pepe Reina, Kepa

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Nacho, Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique, Nacho Monreal, Cesar Azpilicueta, Odriozola

Midfield: Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Saul, Koke, Thiago, Silva, Isco, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vázquez,

Forward: Iago Aspas, Rodrigo, Diego Costa

Morocco: Herve Renard's Men Ready To Spring Up Surprises At The 2018 FIFA World Cup

Morocco have qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 20 years. Their most recent accomplishments include an Arab Cup win in 2012 followed by appearances in the 2013 and 2017 editions of the African Cup of Nations. Neutrals would be tempted to rule them out as bystanders. However, on a closer look, that might not necessarily be the case.

There has been little debate about the “Group of Death” in this World Cup, Morocco's steady rise in recent years means that they could well be the giant killers of this group. The man who has led this revolution at Morocco, is little known French manager called Herve Renard.

In 2004, Herve Renard was sacked as the manager of Cambridge United after the club found themselves bottom of the League Two table. The club was subsequently relegated from the Football League and for Renard, a career in footballing abyss seemed imminent. Since then, he has led a Zambia to a surprising win at the 2012 African Cup of Nations. Reuters Several uninspiring managerial stints later, he led the Ivory Coast to the 2015 edition of the African Cup of Nations and in doing so, became the first manager to win the AFCON with different teams. Clearly, he's been doing something right all along. Known for his affable personality, Renard has acquired a reputation as a hard task master who focuses on each and every detail.

His focus on fitness, and organizing a defence, often produces teams that are hard to beat as the players playing under him often outperform their own abilities. Combine this with his penchant for innovative in-game tactics, and we have a French Marcelo Bielsa.

Since he took over the reins as the head coach in February 2016, Morocco stayed unbeaten in 2016. After a disappointing exit in the 2017 AFCON, Morocco have lost just 2 of their last 13 matches, a run which has included admirable wins against South Korea and Serbia. Moreover, Morocco stayed unbeaten in their world cup qualification group which included the might of Ivory Coast. Reuters However, a more pressing statistic is that, in those 13 games, the Moroccan team conceded only 6 goals and kept 6 clean sheets. Clearly, Renard has brought discipline to this defensive unit. It is this defensive rigidity which may serve as a huge asset against the likes of Spain, as the Moroccan defence spearheaded by their captain Mehdi Benatia, will look to block that final ball.

Apart from Benatia, the defence consists of Romain Saiss, who comes on the back of a championship winning season with Wolves, and Nabil Dirar from Fenerbahce. Between the three of them, they have 113 international caps and plenty of experience of European football at the domestic level. Their midfield will be spearheaded by Younes Belhanda and Mbark Boussoufa, who will serve as the creative outlet going forward. Reuters However, the player who is turning most heads is Hakim Ziyech. The 25 year old had a spectacular year with Ajax, where he contributed 9 goals and 15 assists. He is renowned for his technique and free kick taking ability, which has interested many European clubs, specifically Roma. If the Moroccan defence lives up to its billing, it is Ziyech who may chip in with an unlikely winner.

Spain and Portugal may still be the runaway favourites to qualify from Group B, but no one is likely to bet heavily on Morocco being pushovers. A disciplined defensive showing against the Iberian giants may well open up the way for a threatening counter attack and lead to an unlikely goal.

It may sound like an optimistic call, but Morocco, under Renard, may just spring surprises and bagging that second qualification spot. Squad Goalkeepers: Mounir El Kajoui (Numancia), Yassine Bounou (Girona), Ahmad Reda Tagnaouti (Ittihad Tanger)

Defenders: Mehdi Benatia (Juventus), Romain Saiss (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Manuel Da Costa (Basaksehir), Badr Benoun (Raja Casablanca), Nabil Dirar (Fenerbahce), Achraf Hakimi (Real Madrid), Hamza Mendyl (Lille, France)

Midfielders: M'bark Boussoufa (Al Jazira), Karim El Ahmadi (Feyenoord), Youssef Ait Bennasser (Caen), Sofyan Amrabat (Feyenoord), Younes Belhanda (Galatasaray), Faycal Fajr (Getafe), Amine Harit (Schalke)

Forwards: Khalid Boutaib (Malatyaspor), Aziz Bouhaddouz (St. Pauli), Ayoub El Kaabi (Renaissance Berkane), Nordin Amrabat (Leganes), Mehdi Carcela (Standard de Liege), Hakim Ziyech (Ajax).

Iran: Team Melli Desperate To Shed The 'Bystanders' Tag At The 2018 FIFA World Cup

Something seems amiss when one talks about the prospects of an Asian team at World Cup. With the exception of South Korea at the 2002 World Cup, Asian teams have failed to leave a mark at the world's biggest stage. Iran, being one such traditional Asian powerhouse, has always dominated weaker opposition within the AFC, but have been nothing more than bystanders at the World Cups.  In 2014, Iran found themselves in a group with Nigeria, Bosnia Herzegovina and Argentina. After a hard-fought draw with Nigeria, Iran looked like salvaging a draw against Argentina until Lionel Messi produced a moment of magic in the dying minutes of the game. Finally, they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat in the final group game against Bosnia Herzegovina.  As expected, Iran finished last in the group and bowed out of the World Cup. With Iran placed in the “Group of Death” this time, their fate is likely to be no different. However, if recent form is anything to go by, Iran may not bow out as meekly as they did the last time. In 34 matches in the last 3 years, the Iranians have lost just thrice. They were unbeaten throughout their qualification campaign and qualified with relative ease. However, this does not tell the full story. A majority of these 34 matches came against the vastly inferior opposition. Since the turn of the year, Iran have played 5 matches and lost twice, against Tunisia and Turkey, who can be said to be of comparable quality to the Iranian side. © Reuters The signs are ominous that the Iranians show signs of crumbling when faced with superior opposition. And it is this mental block which their manager Carlos Queiroz will need to address, if they are to be anything more than bystanders in this group.  Queiroz has led the Iranians for 7 years without a trophy or any significant achievement during his reign. And this time, he is up against his home country in the group and may have a point to prove against the Portuguese, who unceremoniously sacked him as their manager in 2010. Given the limitations of the Iranians, Queiroz has assembled a disciplined side with the right mixture of youth and experience. If they are to stand any chance of qualification, Queiroz needs to ensure that the experienced lot step up to the challenge. © Reuters This Iranian side, however, presents a stark contrast to the previous sides that have appeared at the World Cup. 12 of 23 players currently ply their trade with European clubs. That hasn't always been the case, and, in recent years, the upcoming Iranian players have shown a willingness to move out of the Middle East and test themselves at the highest level. Masoud Shojaei, the Iranian captain, may have had an indifferent season with AEK Athens, but his team will look upon him to provide creativity in the final third, if they are to better their 2014 goal tally of 1 goal. Ashkan Dejagah, the only player with Premier League experience was the bright spark in a Fulham team that got relegated in 2014. © Reuters He possesses a bullet right foot and will look to cut it on his right and curl the ball into the top corner. Up front, however, lies the Iranians' biggest assets in Sardar Azmoun and Reza Ghoochannejhad.  Azmoun, who plays with Rubin Kazan in Russia, already has 23 goals in 32 international caps. Ghoochannejhad was the scorer of Iran's sole goal in Brazil in 2014, and Iran will once again look towards him to spearhead the attack. Even the most optimistic of pundits will not fancy Iran to progress from this group. Carlos Queiroz knows the size of the task that lies ahead of him. However, if the stars of this Iranian side were to step up, Iran could make things very interesting in this group. Squad Goalkeepers: Alireza Beiranvand (Persepolis), Seyed Hossein Hosseini (Esteghlal), Rashid Mazaheri (Zob Ahan), Amir Abedzadeh (Maritimo). Defenders: Ramin Rezaeian (Ostende), Voria Ghafouri (Esteghlal), Steven Beitashour (Los Angeles FC), Seyed Jalal Hosseini (Persepolis), Mohammad Reza Khanzadeh (Padideh), Morteza Pouraliganji (Alsaad), Mohammad Ansari (Persepolis), Pejman Montazeri (Esteghlal), Seyed Majid Hosseini (Esteghlal), Milad Mohammadi (Akhmat Grozny), Omid Nourafkan (Esteghlal), Saeid AGhaei (Sepahan), Roozbeh Cheshmi (Esteghlal). Midfielders: Saeid Ezatolahi (Amkar Perm), Masoud Shojaei (AEK Athens), Ahmad Abdolahzadeh (Foolad), Saman Ghoddos (Ostersunds), Mahdi Torabi (Saipa), Ashkan Dejagah (Notthingham Forest), Omid Ebrahimi (Esteghlal), Ehsan Hajsafi (Olympiacos), Ali Karimi (Sepahan), Soroush Rafiei (Al-khor), Ali Gholizadeh (Saipa), Vahid Amiri (Persepolis). Forwards: Alireza Jahanbakhsh (AZ Alkmaar), Karim Ansarifard (Olympiacos), Mahdi Taremi (Al-Gharafa), Sardar Azmoun (Rubin Kazan), Reza Ghoochannejhad (Heerenveen), Kaveh Rezaei (Charleroi).

'Race 3' Is Just Salman Khan's Business & None Of The Viewers' Business

We bet Abbas-Mustan, the creators of the 'Race' franchise, have already watched this film and are probably on a hysterical ride right now. Well, not because the film is funny or anything but at how effortlessly the makers just wrecked the once-successful franchise. Despite the promising ingredients of a star-studded cast, high octane sequences, seduction and betrayal, the film, unlike its previous installments, hardly manages to leave any impression on the viewer whatsoever. Talking about the first two installments, the movies were not only perfectly packaged but Saif Ali Khan's fantastic acting and the gripping plot made it one of the best thriller films Bollywood has ever made. However, every good thing does come to an end, and so did 'Race'. © SKF Everything about 'Race 3' screams the word 'new'. The creators of the franchise were replaced with Remo D'Souza, who for no reason has bullets flying in every direction as if it was 'Flying Jatt 2'. Of course, one of Bollywood's biggest Khan was replaced with another Khan, which served as the last nail in the coffin. The movie has clearly been dumped with Salman's favourite B-town stars and that's what exactly cost the film. In an attempt to follow the old formula, this movie is just an old cocktail poured into a new, expensive, fancy bottle, which still tastes horrible. No amount of picturesque locations, sultry dance moves, shirtless guys, sexy divas, and unwanted action sequences can make it better. © SKF If Salman Khan thought that 'Race 3' was going to made this Eid extra special for his fans, I am disappointed to say that this is just another damp squib of a chapter from his 'Tubelight' textbook. Remo's film is a circus of six oafs and dolts, except for Anil Kapoor, who delivers as always and is a true entertainer. The movie has too many players trying to take control, but the script is so flawed that no amount of acting can stop it from crashing and burning. © SKF The story is an inheritance drama that revolves around the family of a ruthless global arms dealer, Shamsher Singh (Anil Kapoor). He has his eye on a particular hard disk in order to blackmail Indian politicians and Shamsher's nephew Sikandar (Salman Khan) has been given the job to get the hard disk. Shamsher has twins (Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah) and a bodyguard (Bobby Deol). Rana (Freddy Daruwala) is the enemy. But the main problem is a will that leaves most of the property to Sikandar instead of Shamsher's own kid. You are also introduced to Jessica (Jacqueline Fernandez), a pole dancer whose loyalty changes direction just like the wind. She is seen romancing Sikander but then has Bobby next up in her list. A post shared by anilskapoor (@anilskapoor) on Jun 14, 2018 at 10:32pm PDT Looking at the movie, it seems like Remo was so enthralled by Salman's presence alone, that he forgot his job to dole out instructions on how to act. Salman simply comes across as a character who is doing whatever he wants and going in his own direction. Yeah, maybe Salman can do that, but how about following some basics? The dialogues are 'blah' and the amount of cars blown in this film can even beat Rohit Shetty's record. Nothing seems in place and there are a lot of mindless gunshots and bullets flying around. © SKF Most of Salman's fans will assert that this is Bhai's best performance till date and claim it was a thrilling watch. Some of you might accuse me of being too critical, but shouldn't the movie at least make some attempts to follow the footsteps of its predecessors? It's brilliant to see how the entire cast cracks you up when that wasn't even their intention in the first place. While Salman is busy trying to be the macho man, it is only Anil Kapoor who actually bothers to do some justice to his role and the movie. He knows what he wants, how he wants things to take place and has a great command over his character, which makes him the best in the clan of dunces. About the rest of the cast, the lesser we say, the better. © SKF By the time the plot is set in motion, we see a duel, some twists in the climax, Bobby and Salman stripping their shirts off, but by then it's too late for us to even bother. No matter how much you love Salman and his gang, even a loyal fan will have a hard time getting over this shabby flick which takes up three hours of your precious life. Maybe it's time we take Daisy's suggestion seriously and understand that "Race 3 is just Salman Khan's business, none of the viewers' business.”
