Carrie Fisher has posthumously been nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category, as announced on Thursday night.

According to Rolling Stone, the late actress received the nomination for her recurring guest-role on the British comedy series Catastrophe. She played the role of Mia, an overbearing mother of one of the lead characters, which was her last role prior to her death.

Fisher died on December 27, 2016, of a cardiac arrest on after receiving a medical emergency on a transatlantic flight, from London to Los Angeles.

Suffice to say, though she?s no longer with us today, the Star Wars actress is still celebrated and applauded for her acting abilities and her charisma.

Fisher has previously been nominated for two Emmys, including one for best guest actress, comedy series, in 2008 for her role on NBC's 30 Rock, and for best variety, music or comedy special in 2011 for her HBO special, Wishful Drinking.
