ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq reiterated call for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign and present himself before the public for accountability.

Speaking to media after the Supreme Court reserved its judgment in the Panama case on Friday, Siraj vowed to push for accountability against all those named in Panama Papers.

?After Nawaz Sharif, we will continue to push for accountability against all the others who were also named in the Panama Papers,? Siraj said. ?We demand accountability for everyone.?

?Efforts are underway to eliminate Articles 62 and 63,? he lamented, adding that Nawaz Sharif had lost qualification to remain the PM in light of Articles 62 and 63.

Siraj further expressed hope that after the Panama verdict a corruption-free Pakistan would emerge.

Earlier today, the special implementation bench of the Supreme Court reserved its decision in the Panama Papers case after hearing arguments over the final report of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed remarked that the bench would review the matter of the prime minister?s disqualification.

Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan stated that the bench was already reviewing the matter of the prime minister's disqualification, while Justice Ijazul Ahsan remarked that the court would not back down from its decision.
