The landmark Supreme Court verdict disqualifying Nawaz Sharif as the country?s Prime Minister in the high-profile Panama Papers case sent Twitter into a meltdown on Friday.

Politicians tweeted out their reactions to the historic judgment, in which all five judges ruled to send references against Nawaz Sharif, his children Maryam, Hussain and Hasan, son-in-law, and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to an accountability court.

Maryam Nawaz, daughter of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, claimed that her father will return with 'greater force and support'.

She also vowed that Nawaz Sharif would return with a 'resounding victory' in 2018 elections.

Maryam said the PML-N stands 'united, more resolute & unfazed'.

PTI leader Asad Umar hailed the decision of the apex court in the damning probe against the ruling family.

Jamaat-e-Islami's chief Siraj-ul-Haq welcomed the verdict and congratulated the nation.

The JI chief said the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif was only the 'first step'.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak tweeted out his reaction using poetic phrases.

PTI president Sindh Dr Arif Alvi said 'democracy is stronger and corruption will be weaker'.
