KARACHI: At least nine suspects including a terrorist were arrested after police conducted overnight raids in the metropolis.

Police conducted various raids in different areas of Karachi including Manghopir, Sakhan, Abbas Town and Garden.

According to police, at least two suspects were arrested from Sakhan area. Police recovered arms and drugs from the suspects.

Suspects were involved in street crimes and drug dealing, said police.

During a raid in Manghopir, police detained at least two suspects and recovered weapons as well as a stolen motorcycle.

While during a raid in Garden area, police were able to apprehend four suspects involved in street crimes, robbery and drug dealing. Police also recovered arms and drugs from the arrested suspects.

According to SSP Malir, during a search operation at Abbas Town in the wee hours of Wednesday, police got hold of a terrorist during the raid.

The wanted terrorist was identified as Anwar Suleman, he added.

Anwar aka 'Anu' was wanted for four trials including terrorism.
