ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani on Thursday gave a go-ahead for initiating an inter-institutional dialogue for which representatives would be invited from the parliament, judiciary and military.

The upper house on Thursday gave a go-ahead for initiating the dialogue on the matter of exceeding constitutional limits by state institutions.

Rabbani said a debate would be held on the matter for which the prime minister, chief justice and military leaders would be invited.

Speaking on the floor of the House, Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said he was disappointed by Nawaz Sharif's rally, adding that the time for a dialogue had ended.

Criticising the ouster prime minister, Ahsan accused him of having "conspired against six former premiers of the country".
