Move Over 6 Sixes, This 13-Year-Old England Schoolboy Claimed 6 Scalps In An Over

Cricket has long been labelled as a batsman's game. With the fielding restrictions and ever-increasing bat sizes, the batsmen have successfully managed to dominate the game, cutting a sorry figure for the bowlers. The idea of a cricketer hitting sixes consistently is more appealing than some bloke castling the stumps.

We all remember the iconic Yuvraj Singh hitting poor Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over. But, that's a thing of the past now. Because what Yuvi did has now been replicated by a 13-year-old school kid, only with the ball.

Luke Robinson probably had too much milk in the morning as he produced a 'perfect over' - grabbing six wickets in six deliveries, all of them clean bowled. The Philadelphia Cricket Club u-13 players achieved the feat after in a cup game at Langley Park, near Durham City.

His family were all on hand to witness his remarkable achievement, with father Stephen having the best view of all — he was umpiring at the bowler's end at the time.

Meanwhile, his mother Helen was the first person to record her son's feat as she was scoring the match, while Luke's younger brother Matthew was fielding and grandfather Glenn was watching from the boundary.

“It was surreal,” said Stephen Robinson, who plays for the senior side. “I have been playing for 30 years and have taken hat-tricks but never anything like this.

The feat is not something you see everyday in any form of the game be it T20, Test matches or ODIs. The officials at the club are now checking the records to see if the feat has ever been achieved in its 149-year existence.
