Is This What The Huawei Mate 10 Looks Like?

The Huawei Mate 10 has been kept under wraps for a long time and nobody knows that the smartphone will eventually look like. The design has eluded everyone until renders of the upcoming phone were leaked on Weibo.

The image was posted on the Chinese social network website today and these renders give us a first look of the Mate 10 phablet. The source of the images is not yet known, however, if we take leaked picture at face value, there are some key design changes that come to our notice.

The image clearly shows that the Mate 10 will have a near bezel-less screen or in other words an edge-to-edge display. The trend of having a large screen with no bezels will be a first for Huawei and as we can see that there are very narrow and small bezels at the top and bottom of the phone.

Another video was released on YouTube which showed off a concept of the bezel-less display. The screen edge-to-edge display was confirmed by the company CEO earlier this year. The Mate 10 is expected to have a 6.1-inch screen with Quad HD resolution. The smartphone will be powered by a Kirin 970 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.

The Mate 10 is also expected to have a dual camera setup which will allow the smartphone to take images with the Bokeh effect. One can already see the company has been successful at pulling off the β€˜portrait mode' with the Honor 8 Pro. In addition, the dual camera setup will also have the Leica-branded lens and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone is expected to have a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh. The part that hurts the most would be the expected price of the phablet. Rumours suggest that the smartphone is expected cost over $1,000 (Approx INR 65,000).
