A Closer Look At The Galaxy Note 8

The Galaxy Note 8 is all set to be announced by the Korean giant Samsung next week but images of a dummy unit were posted on the Chinese website, Weibo. The images reveal a closer look at the device from every angle and we can confidently say that this will be the final rendition of the smartphone.

The leak shows a total of 7 images that show the full design aspect of the Galaxy Note 8, one can see a visible home screen, the bottom, the back, the top and also the sides of the smartphone. The dummy is an exact match of numerous past leaked photos and is eerily similar to the Galaxy S8. The display is stretched to the sides to give the infinity display feel and even shows the SIM card slot on the top. It has a dual rear camera and a fingerprint sensor right next to it.

The dummy is also similar to renders that were leaked earlier this month which means that either the dummy is the final rendition of the smartphone or it was created to match those renders to throw us off. The leaker says that this dummy model is usually used at Samsung stores for display purposes.

The Note 8 will also have the Bixby button much like the S8 and volume buttons right above it. The power/lock screen button is on the opposite side of the chassis. The Bixby button has not been utilised to its full potential yet as Samsung's digital assistant is not as comprehensive as the Google Assistant. The annoying thing about this is the fact that one cannot remap the button to launch other applications.
