Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa passed away last night leaving the whole state in shock and tears. Right from celebrities to political leaders, everyone took to social media to mourn her death and pay their condolences. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan who is known to have had a tiff in the past with the late Chief Minister regarding his movie ‘Vishwaroopam’, also took to Twitter to pay his condolences. However, being the unforgiving platform it is, most people did not take his tweet too well promptly lost their minds.

— Kamal Haasan (@ikamalhaasan) 6 December 2016He wrote, “Deep condolences for all those who depend on her.” The moment he wrote this, people started criticizing him for the ‘insensitive’ comment.
— எங்கள் முதல்வர் (@Writter_Naina) 6 December 2016@ikamalhaasan You should have kept quiet instead of this bullshit tweet
— Venkat Narayan (@NaraShrav) 6 December 2016@ikamalhaasan what's the point in being well learned if there is no decency. Shame I used to be a fan of yours.
— Sashi (@sashank2k) 6 December 2016@sashank2k he never respect people sadist fellow Komali @ikamalhaasan
— Prasanna (@Robo1235) 6 December 2016Sarcasm or not, this was not the right time and definitely not the right place for Kamal Haasan to make such a statement.
