Wrestling in India has been a sport for long. From akhadas to international platforms like the WWE ring, Indian wrestlers have proved their mettle far and wide. The Great Khali opened the door to WWE for Indian wrestlers when he became the first Indian to sign a deal with WWE. And now Kavita Devi has become the first Indian-born woman to compete at WWE. 

But that's not why she is in the news right now. She is making headlines for choosing to fight in a salwar kameez in the Mae Young Classic event.

Fighting against Dakota Kai, Kavita manages to outweigh her opponent with quite a few mean moves. But not without being knocked out in the end. Dakota eventually wins the fight but Kavita manages to hold out on her own. Here's the complete match:
