Virat Kohli's English 'Sweetheart' Danielle Wyatt Gets Trolled For Erring On Twitter

Back in 2014, England's women cricketer Danielle Wyatt had no idea who Bollywood hottie Anushka Sharma was, but she definitely had the social media buzzing with her sensational marriage proposal for Virat Kohli.

The 26-year-old, who was part of England's World-Cup winning side in 2017, took to Twitter and wrote: "Kholi marry me!!!". Her tweet went viral on the social media with the Indian cricket fans left wondering whether to inform her about Anushka Sharma or educate her about the correct spelling of Kohli.

Kholi marry me!!!

While many laughed at her mistake, some also joked that Virat was booked for Anushka. And, the England all-rounder sportingly replied: "nah, he ain't".

β€œ@bhaviknz: @Danni_Wyatt he is booked to bollywood actress @AnushkaSharma” nah he ain't

Later that year, Kohli, too, met Danielle and gifted the England star one of his cricket bats during India's tour match against Derbyshire. The two had also clicked a photo together which was later shared by Danielle's brother Max Wyatt on Twitter.

On 11 September 2017, Danielle was probably looking to use the same bat in a practice session. Taking to Twitter, she tweeted a photograph of the bat Kohli had gifted her back in 2014 and captioned it: "Back training this week. Can't wait to use this beast. Thanks @imVkohli #ping #middlesbiggerthanme".

But, to the sheer horror of Indian fans, the cricket bat in the photo had Indian captain's last name spelled as 'Kholi', rather than 'Kohli'. It was the same blunder Danielle had committed three years back when she had jokingly proposed Kohli for marriage. And, the fans were in no mood to spare the English cricketer.

Its "kohli", not "kholi" (kholi in a native indian language means a room)

Remember when she tweeted "Kholi, marry me" it's a deliberate inside joke!!

Once again!! It is KOHLI ð¡

Kholi again ð!! Kholi means room & Virat means big/huge !! It means there's "big/huge room" for improvement ððð
Best wishes ðð
