The annual awards of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) were held in Lahore on Wednesday. The star-studded event which is the country's grandest sports awards was a top twitter trend in Pakistan.

Here are some of the highlights from the green carpet of the awards.

Pakistan's favourite couple Wasim and Shaniera Akram were excited to be at the awards. 

Wasim and Shaniera Akram arrived at the awards alongside Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar. 

The award ceremony was also attended by members of World XI who are touring Pakistan. 

Opener Ahmed Shahzad gave a thumbs up to the camera on the green carpet. 

Ahmed also had a picture snapped with Shoaib Malik on the green carpet. 

PCB Chairman Najam Sethi and former national team coach Waqar Younis were all smiles on the green carpet. 

Pakistan's former leg spinner Mushtaq Ahmed spoke to our team. 

ICC match referee Sir Richie Richardson said he was excited to be in Pakistan.
