LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, while leading a procession towards Datta Darbar, said PTI will emerge victoriousΒ on Sunday in the NA-120 by-polls.

Imran is visiting the Sufi shrine to pay his respects.Β 

"The 30-year reign of corruption of the Sharif family will come to an end on Sunday and we will win the match."Β 

He added the nation will defeat the corruption mafia and a "new Lahore wuld emerge after Sunday".Β 

The PTI chairman is leading a rally from Charing Cross at Mall Road to Data Darbar. Scores of party workers and supporters are accompanying the party chairman.

Earlier, Khan criticised Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz for "disrespecting the judiciary on a daily basis".

He was addressing a joint press conference along with Pakistan Awami League Chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Imran claimed that Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, is behaving like a deputy prime minister in the run-up to the by-polls in the NA-120 constituency.

He also blasted the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for issuing his arrest warrants, saying that the ECP has never heard a contempt of court case before his. "The ECP is working on PML-N's behest."

Speaking about the upcoming NA-120 by-election, he said that the nation has to make a decision if it wants to see a powerful judiciary or not.
