ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Naeem-ul-Haque has claimed that it has been confirmed that the ambulance which entered the Joint Investigation Team Headquarters, while it was probing former prime minister?s assets, was sent for the purpose of spying.
The leader shared on social media, ?Confirmed: The ambulance sent to JIT during its interrogation of Sharif family was, in fact, an IB vehicle sent to monitor events.?
On March 30, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif?s son Hussain Nawaz had appeared before the JIT to record his statement.
It was the second appearance of the premier?s son before the JIT, which continued interrogation for five and a half hours.
Interestingly, around two-and-a-half hours after the JIT started deposing National Bank of Pakistan President Saeed Ahmad and later Hussain, a special ambulance arrived at the JIT headquarters.
Answering journalists' queries at the academy's gate, a man sitting in the SUV-turned-ambulance with a government number plate identified himself as Dr Omar and said they had been called in. He refused to comment further and went inside, Geo News had reported.
