MULTAN: Veteran politician Javed Hashmi on Thursday said that next general election must be held on time.
Addressing a press conference, he hailed the sacrifices of security officials especially for the restoration of peace in Karachi.
Replying to a question, he dispelled the impression that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) top leadership had been involved in a confrontation with institutions.
However, he said PML-N's government shouldn?t be pushed into back gear for any reason, especially when it was smoothly running the affairs of the state.
In response to another query, he said the incumbent government should reconsider defence and foreign policy in the best interest of the country.
